The last Arsenal player to scorer 30 in EPL was RVP. We need a player that can do that again.

Reality check: Top scorers lately have been 15, 16, 14.

Auba was last to do above 20goals.

Can any in the current setup get us Auba goals numbers this season? Be factual pls.

We dey score goals is the more reason we should be having such player on 30+ figures.

Sanchez for Martinelli

Walcott as Saka competitor/deputy.(from the bench)

Giroud as a good option off the bench and Plan B.

Koscienly as Saliba competitor/deputy

If to say we get this 4 profile of players presently, Allah, league and trophies go sure us!!
Walcott hot that year sha. But competitor is just perfect.

Reading on Owngoal that it is Moses Simon's wife Ibukun that is facilitating the Benjamin Fredrick move to Bretford.

Most of our Nigerian clubs are just lazy and would rather rely on cheap interventions from their host state governments. If Kaduna United were involved in grooming and developing this Benjamin boy they would have now been reaping the benefits. At least Remo Stars is trying a bit in that regard.
This Remo Stars ehn. I expect a deep docuseries from them soon. Reason being that they are seriously taking the backstage like European teams do. Very impressive.

Who do you think will walk in to this current Arsenal team without 2nd thoughts? And vice versa too?

Glad we back. Only Arsenal can hinder Arsenal.

Again, more advocacy should be directed towards increased funding of the women's league and not rushing the girls into the Super Falcons. Not much of a case is being made if you can't dominate in Africa. Majority of these clubs are filled with very young players, I dare say most under 20 (especially the division 2). We need to concentrate more on developing them to reach their greatest potentials and that requires time and funding.

Watching these Delta team from the beginning of the tournament, it was obvious they weren't good (even though I believe they aren't the best the league has to offer). Disappointing, but hope lessons were learned.
Funds to achieve this long term plan gats reach like $2m

No na. It doesn't work like that.

The league owns the streaming right of games all over the world. It's how leagues like the EPL can sell TV rights and pay clubs a part of it. Since the partnership with DSTV stopped, the league hasn't gotten a broadcasting partner for the league, so clubs had to resort to streaming the games on their own. It was the ideal, but it met the need at the time.

Now the league is looking at rebranding itself, and have gotten a new broadcast partner (who I believe should he paying for the broadcast rights). It only follows that clubs can no longer stream as a new body is contractually obligated to do so.

It's a good development really and should be encouraged. Let's up things get better from here.
of course, i understand how the broadcast own is. Just i don't like this one. No sign its flexible. But welcome development still

I read the article and I'm not even surprised at events unfolding with Nigerian football...so this aboki NFF president and his criminal cronies are opposed to a coach who is paid to select players that meet his tactical criteria just because they want to force some rubbish home based player quota on him? have these morons developed our football league back home to even produce half decent players worthy of senior national football? see how poorly Nigerian clubs are performing in the CAF champions league...where are the good players in our NPFL?

This explains why players like Gift Orban and Boniface etc have always been phased out of national team selection despite their superb forms because some rubbish players probably bribed this NFF criminals to always get ummerited call up's (like Musa). It's clear this is beyond Peseiro, and I hope he just gets his money for everything he's owed and walks away for his own sanity. This was the same thing they did with Rohr, the man was getting it right with player selections and was actually calling up interesting players with prospects...until NFF forced their hand on him and ruined what could have been a wonderful rebuilding project.

Nigeria is truly a irredeemable case. Tufiakwa
I've always said that Rohr doesn't look like he's in charge of call ups for matches. Many said it's untrue. The vibes are there too. Plus one goof with nff handle one time proved it. Plus this more recent gbasgbos with waldrum.

They're even saying he should get pay cut when they still feed fat on big salaries.. treating the national teams like some low budget npfl club.

You call Prospect Africa monopolistic? Who dash beggar (NPFL) choice.

Nigerians need to be realistic. This is the 7th year without concrete TV partnership but suddenly we feel since these ones have come, others will rush in. Nibo?

We are a long way from having an attractive league that sponsors will fall over themselves for. Abi is it not yesterday that they did NPFL draws and it looked a public school's PTA meeting.

Every investment in the NPFL right now is a favor in good faith and we should be content.

As for the African Football League. Africa once again succumbs to be a testing ground for what UEFA wants.
CAFCL has not fulfilled it's potentials but we want to chase the wind with an 8 team tournament.
Monopolistic in the sense that they just come to outrightly take over from clubs that have perfect streaming services. That's not fair.

First, if anything happens, clubs are back to square 1. We both know these things are not always permanent. Club having their own platforms is a good way to groom development in media. But now one sort of laziness will creep in now. The rule does not make sense one bit.

At least from this aspect I'm talking from. They look serious, but it doesn't benefit the individual clubs that way to me

As for AFL, i hate all these kowtow to UEFA that Caf has been up to lately. Esp regarding finances. It's just hilarious and same time, provoking.

The coaching dilemma is why these elderlies that we saw 2decades ago still running affairs on the coaching scene

We saw it with Onigbinde, then Amodu, now it is Eguavoen. Who's going to be so easy for this terrible nff guys to be at beck and call in next decade?

Now ordinary license is causing brouhaha for Enyimba and Finidi sotey Asst sef is just existing for such cases. It's hilarious and sad. A big mountain to climb.

Let me make this short. Inexperience and quality. The defense is just not good enough and the midfield is not consistent enough. Ojo that should have been a leader started the first leg with an error. Then u have the Finidi at the touchline issue added to all the board members being sacked to hire Kanu and Co. Enyimba did everything in the off-season besides signing high quality players.
Mostly off pitch palava. Super Falcons really try for their own. Let's see if this new people will make this club great again. This is annoying to hear.

Fifa World Cup legend Lothar Matthaus has predicted that Victor Boniface and Harry Kane will fight for the German Bundesliga top scorer award for the 2023-2024 season.

Both strikers are newcomers to the Bundesliga, with Boniface joining Bayer Leverkusen from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in exchange for approximately 20 million euros while Tottenham Hotspur legend Kane departed the Premier League club for Bayern Munich for a fee of guaranteed fee of €100 million.

Boniface is not an unknown quantity on the European circuit having impressed in last season's Europa League with six goals to finish as the competition's joint-top scorer along with Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.

In 117 career appearances combined for Bodo/Glimt and Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Boniface was involved in 60 goals (40 goals, 20 assists) - a testament to his goal scoring abilities.

The 22-year-old has struck three times in three all-competition appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, hitting a brace in a 3-0 rout of Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday.

Kane mustered 280 goals in 435 matches for Tottenham Hotspur, and shone on his Bundesliga debut with a goal and assist in Bayern's 4-0 demolition of Werder Bremen.

Praising Boniface's qualities, Lothar Matthaus said on Sky Deutschland: "You can see that he's always looking for a goal, but also keeps seeing his team-mates and assisting them, like in the preparation for the first goal against Leipzig.

"We will see a few more goals from him. I see him fighting for the top scorer gong with Harry Kane."

Matthaus concluded by saying that Boniface would have been a good signing for Bayern Munich this summer but he was overlooked by the German record champions because he wasn't yet a marquee player.
Strikers just yapa for Nigeria now and midfielders are scarce. God When o!!

There was a time we didn't have better wingers till Odemwingie and Moses came around. Then Defenders, then dem Oboabana came. Years we relied on Danny Shittu.

Funny enough, the most important one is this coach. We go get talent wey fit tear many European teams apart but na one egbon adugbo we go kon carry as coach.

See the latest comments allegedly attributed to Peter Rufai. I just laugh. These guys still think we are in the 80s ni? Cos that statement proves just that. Nobody in the modern game will talk like that. Nobody. Irris well.

Boniface for golden boot.

It keeps him silent for most of the match. Mitchell taught him a big lesson last game. Just Mitchell alone. The earlier we look for alternative to score the better. He needs attention away from him for a minute.
