Saka is getting double figures. But nothing will be sweeter than he doing a dozen on UCL duty. Welcome Back to another season!✅🙌🏾🙌🏾

You think it's easy to win a World Cup knockout game? Once you enter the knocking stages, things get very tough.

They've lived up to their hype, going into the semis as things stand, unless you're looking for unrealistic statistics that only happen in group stage games. This is world cup bruh. France men most likely wouldn't beat Nigeria more than a goal or two in a World Cup game. Knockout matches are generally very tough even if you're the better team.
Just admit it for once. Na always when e reach oyinbo side we go wan dey cook excuse ni? England are the least inspiring among all the european reps left in this competition. Infact they were least before the KO stages started. They were only bested by Switzerland, if not they'll ve least in group stages too. Simple!! KO is tough for anyone, but this English team are damn lucky. In conclusion, they've not lived up to their hype so far as Champs of Euros. Fact!!

Sweden is repping better with play and style.

Once again, thunder faya whoever supported the departure of Thomas Partey. You see those his long long curled passes to Saka and want that to suddenly disappear from Emirates?

You see those kine passes and also realize that virtually nobody in the XI throughout last season, not even Jorginho, could replicate such defence splitting passes?

Allow Partey to Partey after another Partey.

Others:

Nelli is not really in this game. I think the presence of Kai is the reason. This squad sef ehn. Trossard still dey bench o. Omo!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Keep the same energy. That's all I ask. Ngozi actually praised Toni but people can only see the bad.
Praise and Insult in same sentence in such manner is no longer praise. This situation is not the 1st to be vehemently opposed and it won't be the last either. And I'm not going to change the pattern for Ngozi all of a sudden. What is unnecessary is unnecessary!!

In my opinion the text above is quite bad from Okobi if these are her words
1) why compare Toni wit herself, if it had been me!!!!
2) So Toni is not up to that standard but she is?
3) so Toni didn't bring all she had?

Now she did say Toni is a very good player but then she followed up with all the "accolades" and ended up saying she would have done better.

I rest my case and I sing the Asake song to myself, "lonely at the top.....wetin u love o no be wetin I go love o"
iwo logbon ju is the perfect response to that nonsense Okobi pulled. That was totally unnecessary. Simple!!! Why that is hard for some to see beats me. You want to now come and tell me that she meant no harm cos she started the statement with "commendation"

The "But" that followed nko?

Inference-no Matter what Toni plays, I'm way way better than her and would not get tired easily like her.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Aspa na Kante she be!! Even Kante gets tired in some games that you don't expect him to.

Once again... It was totally unnecessary.

If u feel this quote is picking on someone u are very sensitive.

She continued saying "Toni Payne did her best. I commended her effort a lot and I told her and said girl you did great. She tried her best but she's not up to that standard yet. She's a very good player and with time she will get there. But on that kind of game if they had me, even though I know I'm not going to last , I'm going to bring all I have......"
Her quote is a sugarcoating attempt. I don't need to be a fan or her enemy to see thru that. Thank God i was on that space too.

Not up to standard??

If they had me?

She should stop with that abeg.

If i am tagged sensitive for seeing through such statement about a teammate, especially as we all know the origin of the matter, then i can safely say you're insensitive to want to accept that as totally normal.
I'm an Arsenal fan and my club have faced similar situations and we saw how Aubameyang went about it and also how Ozil went about it.

What is the absolute guarantee that all she have was going to be the biggest difference that night? Absolutely no guarantee!!! Or is football suddenly 1+1=2?

I know what she's capable of, but leave that to fans to argue over. Buthuh But what??

If Zee, Ebi, Alozie, Rash, etc said what Ngozi said, it doesn't make it right or proper. I'll react same way. You don't do that to a teammate. It's crap.

More like you commend her to her face then came to the space to talk down on her ability.

Bro, I wanted to cry seeing the confusion amongst the players...they had no idea of what to do with the ball once they got it...

The Ordega and Ajibade move was head scratching ( I guess it was done because Ajibade is better beating her marker on the dribble, but we could have just overloaded that wing since Daly who was playing LB for England isn't a Specialist defender and stick 2 Attackers in their box since we decided to go route one )
Noticed i got confused about who was playing where cos of the position they turned up the most during that period? We didn't even try the capitalize on weakness approach which would have woked just fine. Pheww.

Again, ill advised.

She's already saying things she shouldn't say.
How do you say (imply) Toni Payne isn't up to your creative level yet?

She still say many things she isn't supposed to say.
I'm a fan of her cause, but that statement just made me decide to not ever take Ngozi Okobi serious again. That's total BS to trample on your teammate like that. She's not a problematic fellow. She's not the origin of your mishap. She didn't connive with any soul to make any unfortunate circumstance that was detrimental to your selection. But you now decide to not only be myopic in rendition, but also blind and foolish and drop statement that reeks of outright jealousyhuh That's not low! That is rubbish.

Toni Payne was exceptional for us that Vera Pauw felt she achieved something big by keeping her silent/isolated in the match against us.

Or is it that Toni looks easy to pick on? Cos i can beat my chest and say she can never say such about Oshoala, Ayinde, Ohale, Alozie.

Ngozi is just digging more with excavator instead of shovel.

Rubbish to pick on Toni. I was on the space too.

I think its high time they stop giving her mic. In a bit to prove a point, she's creating enemies among friends. That's not how to go.

Dave, Michelle wasn't playing as a LW....She played as a LWB ( She was just Super high up the Pitch )
The formation was 3-4-2-1 ( Order started as the RWB but eventually went central and Ajibade went to the RWB position )

Ohale_____Demehin______Plumptre

Ajibade_______Christy_____jenni_______Michelle

Ordega____Desire (Toni )

Oshoala
Then it became more confusing to anyone, especially as Ordega was everywhere.

chop knuckle my broda. Benzina is her name. She's a calamity in the morocco defence. Against colombia, that was how she miskicked an offensive pass and almost cost an equaliser. I think those things she's wearing is affecting her performance. Esp her stockings. Unless she removes them
That Benzina is a terrible footballer. I didn't see her at Wafcon so how come she's starting here? Or na me no look well ni? SI Unit of Terrible defender from Africa. Despite being terrible, the french ladies didn't even bother taking advantage. They just played their game.

I completely forgot the coach could switch player positions and roles..

since she came on for Kanu I expected her to apply the same pressure and energy offensively that Kanu was doing effectively that's why I said she ghosted because Kanu was more offensive than her so to me Ordega was making our offense weaker instead of better.
It wasn't a direct replacement substitution now. But you saw Michelle Switch to the LW role, didn't you. Ordega coming in wasn't to directly replace Kanu. Those subs were changing the formation straight up.

As for weaker vs Better, I'd say the removal of pain did that more than the time Ordega came on. The long balls were terrible and that's where i missed Payne and Ayinde. As for her performance after replacing Kanu, I'll say it was okay but for a fresh leg, i expected more more from her. Infact all the subs fall my hand.

Hopefully, Arteta and the boys will push this team one position higher than last season cool
Plus all the comical things they do during the game steals the seriousness or fun. Like The pk after 90mins😆

Then in a way, other teams are rebuilding now. We have for 2 seasons with discipline. The onus lies on us. I expect Saka will be double figures this time.

from your video Ordega was okay, during the match I only saw her losing possession and wrestling the Eng:lish players.

Ordega is a forward player but she was playing both wing-back and midfield that Onyi Echegini was brought on to play and by the way that Echegini even ghosted more than Ordega.. I expected Ordega to have more offensive impact than defensive impact when she came on.
its more about the role instructed by randy to play. Primarily it look like WB. Then at a point she looked like she was in CF position. I dunno, but it looked confusing, but she wasn't bad. That ref is terrible. I'll take Salma Mushanga (pardon my spelling) over her anyday
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 12:12am On Aug 09, 2023
Rewatched the pk. Omo they definitely didn't train for it. Desire stance alone is one of the worst in world of football for pk shootout. 9/10 that stood that way all missed. They've all apologized sha. To do that twice at crucial stages of two competitions no easy. Mixed feelings

Personally, i no fancy all these pre-season matches. I stopped the season we had one poor pre-season and still went on to have a great season, while London blues beat everyone during pre-season and went on to have an abysmal season. 😆😆

As Harvest and Co are new arrivals, the formation vs City is one for use consequently. There's no spot on the previous formation that KH can fit into. That's enough to know only a diff formation can accommodate him, esp as MA kinda likes him that much.

Randy ends up being the best of all Caf coaches.
He also ends up being a saint, as i predicted.

Now over to NFF and geng to get the hammer, stick, and chisel, and end up as villians as the whole world focuses on whatever they'll do. Very happy all of them are united and fighting for whatever is theirs. I hope the men join them too. These guys have enjoyed everything at the expense of those the budget was made for.

His success won't necessarily translate with the men. There's one reason Randy did well with the ladies; they believe in him. He won't have the same buy-in with the guys.

Those guys need someone they can play for. It's why Stephen Keshi of blessed memory succeeded a bit.
