Yobo at RB between 2001-2002 was pretty decent. Remember that beautiful cross he gave Aghahowa for his goal against Sweden @ the 2002 WC?

You're right that he was more makeshift but even a lot of the full shift ones we had didn't perform as good as Big Joe in that position.

Ambrose sef na makeshift na lol. Efe was more of a CB but his decent ball handling skills were good enough for Keshi to deploy him in that position.

I think Aina has the potential to be considered the best RB we ever had but he has to achieve something great with the team.
Na to leave it at 3man defense then. All these were just stints but Ambrose had a better time there then Yobo anyway. I hope Aina clinches more so he can fill up that gap finally.

Omo the thing weak me. I was expecting them to come firing from all cylinders this second half. I'm quite disappointed ngl.
Return leg in Abeokuta on Tuesday. Na from XI we go know wetin go sup. Chiamaka has no business starting that game IMO.

Nnadozie God bless you abeg.

Let's wrap this up. I'm not understanding this game again.
Just look at the defenders? grin

Dem dey form bigz gehs😂😂😂😂😂😂
Smh. Time to look for faya faya youngings o. These mamas are fed up of defending. Ball is at the back tooo much despite the attacking changes made. Lol

Second half is somehow worse than the first lol.

Can we get at least one more goal?
The Middle is flat that's why. Confusion of roles. They're not opening up for passes or Ohale and Demhin are bereft of better ideas other than long balls
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 5:40pm On Oct 24, 2025
This touchline ref dey ref game when centre ref dey? grin
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 5:37pm On Oct 24, 2025
Ref is stoopid sha. Ashleigh is right to ask that player be carded for that challenge. undecided
How will you simply blow that as freekick?
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 5:33pm On Oct 24, 2025
They were all strolling for that Benin fat chance until Debbie stepped up. Ohale replacement is needed now. I wanted 2nd choice GK to keep also. We should be giving 2nd choice gk chance henceforth for some games if we want a healthy depth. This line up kon be like coach dey fear. When dem no be Morocco or SA. 😂

That's even going too far up the hierarchy.
She is not even in the league of the following: Esther Onyenezide, Suliat Abideen, Peace Efih, or even Super Falcon-in-waiting, Ayooluwa Oke.
Sorry, but she has no business being in this squad. None, whatsoever.
Before e be like we dey hate on player. Lol
This is just the truth. She's trying hard to make up for these ball loses with her marking. This has made Abiodun to become Declan Rice and De Bruyne all in one in this game.

Quality of opponent dey shield sha. Lol

No matter what we feel about okocha and I too have my reservations about him but he’s still our second top scorer in Afcon after Yekini. As a midfielder that’s massive and I think he will continue to have a shot in our best 11 ever until we see another midfielder overwhelming better.
What i think about this is that the fact that no midfielder have tried to close down this record is one thing that makes him even more indispensable in that XI. The teams he faced those years in those AFCONs.....
If e easy make dem do am. I think he's a victim of his own talent to many Nigerians that vexed that he dribbles too much and trophies no dey especially with the Dinho comparism. Plus our disappointment started at the peak of his Super Eagles days when many were depending on "senior man" to lift the team out of the underwhelming streak. His near goal freekick vs CIV made many conclude the hate and degrading, however not justified.

Oro por sha.

Till midfielder clear that afcon record....

Baba, too much talk no dey fill basket. Drop your own Super Eagles best Starting 11 make we see. grin
Hehehe. Na that backline dey cause wahala. Esp that RB part. Yobo ke? 😂
That is makeshift na. Musa Muhammad had potential to do exploits in that role but he fell off. He had the top talent to be the right side Marcelo with a better defending side. But....
Not suggesting him o. He didn't cook well on fire so..

So I'll put Ambrose cos of that Consistency over those years.

Omo why we dey put Yobo for RB all these while? The trash talking on JJ Okocha too get as e be. Una go say e perform kon still comot am again and then rinse and repeat. Lol. Oya do 3 man defense if RB no dey na. So area go contain everyone. cool. Fix Ambrose for that RB abeg

We never even talk of dem Moses, Odemwingie. But Bench go tight.

If we are real, we have raw talent to compete with dem Germans, Spaniards and England if we do XI A and B. But a factor is the weapon fashioned against this idea. They're currently facing $10m fraud issues. That NFF.

Gyokores with MOTM
Martinelli now our highest goalscorer this season, followed closely by Gyokores.

Just like last season, Inter and Arsenal again are yet to concede a goal after 3 games. Inter broke that record i think. Both teams have faced the fewest shots as well(7)

Red just full all the games. Many wanted Haram football but i believe the opposite would happen considering, Simeone is yet to win Away so far this season.

Last season many opined, including many of us here, that it was better we faced Real and not Atletico. Looks like the outcome would have been way way bigger for us if we met them at that stage. That GM goal was a trademark goal. He used to do one touch goals before. Then he stopped and Trossard became the one touch guy. I hope he keeps it up throughout this season.

Ucl commentator pronounce Eze more correctly than the EPL ones. Irony.
They say something like Eh-Zah instead of Eh-Zay in EPL🤦🏽‍♂️😂

It's becoming daily routine for our defence line, I was never scared we will see the game through or not unlike wengay days our comic defense will commit
That record of consecutive games without a shot on target all 90mins is overwhelming to note. If our attack just wake up lasan, nasoso clean sheets go dey sup.

There's this thing our players do. We go recover ball kon dey turn round make they recover. undecided
Space to attack dey o. Numerical advantage dey o. Yet instead of progress, you turn back and give ball to Gabu. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Happened a dozen times this game. Gyokores go just dey run for nothing. I also noticed that Trossard seems to be the most intentional about connecting with Gyokores directly.

How did Cala end up as 9 for that offside goal sef😂😂😂😭😭😭😭

We dropped points las season, right. Now it's all 3points but hard fought 1-0. I'll take it. I hope same happens with those other teams that we dropped valuable points at their grounds.

There is simply no rationale. Evidence of her doings are clear to see. It's sentiments that drive decision making when it comes to Nigerians. That's how it has always been.

Someone said on Twitter that Madugu's football philosophy is still not clear till now. And I still have this nagging belief that the Super Falcons excelled at the last WAFCON not because of Madugu but in spite of him.
I agree with you. But they'll say we dey do busy body.

When Ellis and that Moroccan coach were dominating, we saw the philosophy and tactics even as rivals. I guess the right substitutions in that final will continue to be his covering until further notice.

E Dey funny me sha, imagine Taiwo Afolabi. She’s talented but for the SuperFalcons she is not in that level and not that player the team even need because she can’t even match the regulars players in that position level talk more of displacing them..

Why not give it to the deserving players?

Imagine inviting Kafayat for what exactly?? Is she the best home based forward Capital NO..

Monday Gift and Edna Imade deserves that spot, at least Spain didn’t invite Imade which shows she’s probably waiting for Nigeria 🇳🇬
These guys just dey use national team dey run levels sha. Smh. They don't even want to look these foreign players sef. Smh. At least they should pick Edna na. Anyway e funny cos even Chioma sef never kick ball. Smh
