Forest in shambles. I doubt Ange will do anything large. Eze, this is your time to steal this limelight. You're tested and proven already. Steal it!!!

I watched combined highlights of the goals and top moments of our invincible season and something caught my attention

The number of times these guys hit the bar....
They love shooting and shooting and shooting. Barely 3mins in and 14 hit the bar.

If not Igwe, na Pires, if not him, na Campbell, if not, Bergkamp. Everyone had their bar moments. Imagine hitting the bar 4times when 1 goal down.

We need more shots this time. Wenger used to say the way these guys practices shots that year, he didn't even tell them to. They took it upon themselves and even did some of their freekick routines. No be everything Arteta supposed tell this guys. Let them rein in and take control. They're so adverse to shooting accurately compared to previous seasons. I see Sol in MLS than in Cala. Both combined should help that left wing click. Few days to go. I don miss club football abeg. All these 6-0, 12-1, 7-2 no sweet😂

If you waited till this game before you accepted the die is cast, apologies.

Sha edit the thread title.

After that draw vs Lesotho in Uyo, i began to reason that Presido will rather ensure his country qualifies before he leaves than see Naija edge them out if push came to shove. We ought to put up a fight but we handed it over to them easy. We switched to renewed hope on deductions of 3 points until we all saw that Fifa tweet that gave us the hint that NOTHING go sup for that angle.

The guys in nff love calculators. The Texas Instrument kind. They love rubbish hopes too.

All of them deserve to be fired.

I see they wrote one nonsensical media piece, trying to scapegoat Cyriel Dessers when the ship was wrecked since the Finidi era. That era was fascinating cos it was one of the era that those that clamored for a local coach came out more. They chanted passionately about local league players inclusion, writing what nots about the 80s and 90s asif we time traveled 30years back.

Enyimba go chop goals in caf competition. Watching the game alone makes one know they were not any better than a NuGA games team. Sadly, their relevance in African football hangs on their heroics 2 decades ago. Else, they're a perfect lump of the sorry bunch of mediocrity that sums up our local league. Remo Stars can't wash off this stench. To show workings, think pieces will need to be drowned.

I hear Mathematical is part of the problem we are in currently. Its been a while i read any article from that side. Perhaps he dropped the pen for the calculator as well.

We have 2/top 5 attackers in Africa right now and both are going to miss the WC AGAIN!!!

WE had a system that was working and tried to fix it as though broken. And now what we have is just rubbles from the collapse. Instead of retrospect, we are seeing arrogance from the media officer of the NFF.

Was it not last week we say similar vitriol at Favor Ofili from the federation spokesman that should be fired by now for such foolish comments?

To say we go dey alright don taya person.

It is crickets when you realize that Tolu and a defender in Bassey are the only 2 goalscorers in last 3 games for this team. One can't imagine this team was afcon finalist last year.

Another mundial miss is accepted. Miracles?! That's away from our level for now. Make we leave What if for DC and Marvel Comics!!!

The earlier we score in that game, the better.

I see Osimhen starting the game as well.
Let Tolu start and Osimhen come off the bench. Oir last 2 goals were from Tolu. With all the minutes the starter Forwards have and na sub still dey score?

What do you see?

I mean!!!!!!
Isolated our 9 instead of targeting him and giving him chance for 1v1. I was pissed when some fans were happy he was dropping deep to COLET PASS, as if that's sweet goals. Mtchew

Guy was in position for many 1v1, sticking to the CBs when in possession. It is not his duty to be falling to the AM zone to be doing connecting play when he's such a finisher. Make they no waste this guy abeg.

Why is it had to play to his strengths early on, get a goal and then play the ball the way e dey sweet mikel belle?

It's annoying now that in midfield, Merino is our slowest midfielder. Guendozi was faster in decision making. Guy will look and give a forward pass into the box, air or ground. Be like e don enter Kai Kategory. Never useful in midfield but upfront. Lol.

What is the range for these bunch of waec holders that decide the administration and economy of this country? What is the range or even the figure? Why is it shrouded in mystery?

Arteta messed up with this passive Approach. Rice should be threatening that Liverpool backline enough but he was deepest midfielder today, playing from CB and LB.

I'm done with Martinelli. That guy has forgotten he now has a 9. He also doesn't know what to do with the ball again. His defending is not going to absolve him from the rubbish he dropped today and why he was on that long 😑😑😑😑😑😑

Szobo is the RB for heaven's sake mehn. 😫😫
Yet he got the winner.

It reminded me that we don't even get such freekicks in the EPL again. I pitied Gyokores. The guys behind him forgot their primary duty was to feed him but na pressing dem sabi. How can we have that midfield and can't even utilize it? 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Can we just snatch this Lookman deal abi is it over or what? What a stale loss. All down to Arteta's approach. Calafiori did well.

Arsenal paid €23.5m for Kiwior and now letting him go out on loan with a mandatory option to buy for €26m is a disgrace and willing to pay premium for a replacement ( Hincapie at €60m) is nothing sort of bad business.....

Kiwior is 25 with 3 years left on his contract and his market value should be atleast €45m. Quansah with limited match experience went for €35m... Arsenal are prime for serious financial issues in near future...

This is a disgraceful if proven true....
The fee is terrible no doubt but i love the loan option. If we win double or treble, he will get a medal in his room.

If you watch Serie A and Barclays era of EPL, there are many tackles that were absolutely normal then. Career ending tackles. Intact if they do such for 9/10 of attackers in the modern era, they will just retire.

What do you think when many were on the "fifa and uefa refs are favouring messi" of yesteryears? I recall a match vs Man U. Ronaldo was tackled hard and they didn't even blow. Messi was tackled hard and na yellow. To me that's evidence that Fifa knew that that era was get tough or die trying era.

Then we moved into the era where there were many adjustments and changes to rules and regulations. Then they didn't enjoy such privileges. I recall a game Ferdinand and Vidic tried to pull down Yak but he still bullied both. If na modern era, na pk instantly for that very pull and stamping.

The 30yard screamers have died. The ball was heavier then compared to now. If many shoot that ball currently, their leg go bend😂😂
Lampard and Gerard goals?
Xabi Alonso?
Hasselbaink?
Wright?
Muntari?

The injuries in modern football is disheartening. I also believe players should keep improving on their fitness and rest routines.

Also the academy players should be more utilized.
Some clubs have rigorous routines normally. Like way too normal that legs won't but give way. Post covid, many clubs adjusted their entire routine to reduce the visits to Luth. It was too much. Some stick to their stick dietary standards and use the hammer on all these partying and etc compared to others.
