My brother, the ideology of downplaying bad behaviour is disgusting and appalling as if we watched a different match entirely.

I have been a campaigner for NWABALI but for that Lesotho flop plus the time wasting when we were only 2:0 up was a red flag for me.
Im tired of yes-men in this national team. Naso media officer throw Dessers under bus but no mention of what Nwabali is currently doing. We are lucky that the benin goal didn't count and that Onyeka also scored that 4th goal. Else na 3-1 we go dey weep on and by then all these artful dodging of the truth will be a different story.
He wasn't this foolish. Infact this attitude skyrocketed after some games in the PSL this year. He now brought it to the team fulllyyyyy. We don't need that. We need his head in the moment and in the game.

Once again we are lucky that Benin goal didn't count.

i know he have this mentality of going forward and scoring, it is evident in his pressing and passing. He's a Sergio Busquets kind of player(personal opinion), but whenever he starts in midfield in Arsenal games, we cry about how Arteta is going defensive. He's job is not primarily to create loads of chances from the middle, but to block spaces, intercept balls, tackle and progress play. If he finds himself in the box he knows how to shoot but that can't limit Gyokeres output. He scores more for Spain because their forwards drop and create chances for him to attack empty spaces.
he doesn't act conscious of the presence of the 9 when he's attacking. Zubi is more conscious of that imo. Ao the two starting just hampers the team overall. It's that spain set up that gives him that responsibility to score. But at arsenal, responsibility is no longer his cos the system is different. It's not working at Arsenal and he's not flourishing in midfield beside his fellow midfielders. He will flourish if the setup is the Spanish setup and that's even for more tactical games.

Arrogant because he argued with somebody? Arguing now equals arrogance? U learn something new everyday.

I have not seen Nwabali do anything that Osimhen hasn't done. Anyone complaining better show their receipts of Osimhen complaints or they are just hypocrites.
Now you want to justify it with false equivalence? Osimhen jeopardize the team or doesn't heed his teammates call on the pitch? Habaaaaa.

I don't understand this analysis bro, I thought he is a defensive?. If we complain about playing defensive game whenever he starts, how then does this analysis align?.
I don't get you. What i wrote is clear now. Based on instincts towards goal.

That's cap. It was Nwabali and Bassey and they were only shouting at each other. This was about players holding each other accountable, it had nothing to do with anger.
That's arrogance on display. What about the Semi Ajayi one? Let's call a spade a spade and stop downplaying what we all saw abeg. You prefer we modify the grammar to "holding each other accountable" abi? grin

All these digs at Nwabali should stop.
I don't want his confidence to take a dig.

Someone is already clamoring for Arthur Okonkwo to deliver us from Nwabali.
Is this blindness or just plain ignorance.
How much of Arthur Okonkwo does this person know. (I am not taking anything away from Arthur)

Could it be that Nwabali's composure and confidence is intimidating the timidity of some people.
They cannot just come to grip that someone can be as confident as that.

We have over the years clamored for a goal keeper like Nwabali.
Nwabali is very good.
Please appreciate him.
Are you insinuating that his confidence is fueled by his arrogance and lack of regard for authority on the field of play? He's meant to do a job and at an emergency time and he's failing woefully at it. Appreciate him? Abeg abeg abeg!!

Exactly. That's why I said if we secure the African ticket, forget. We're going to USA.
I hope we use these games to set house in order. 4 wins and 2 draws in 6 games is a good one for Chelle. He's still getting to know his players. At this rate we would need to cancel the Venezuela and Columbia Friendlies.

Lookman will be back as well. I hope Chelle realizes that Simon and Lookman should not start together.

Another thing we need focus on are the stats of the forward 6 per XI. They are terrible in the last 2years. Or better still, since the 2022 WC miss, the numbers raked in from the 6 has been an eyesore. 3years and see the G/A many of them rake in. See the Stats overall across dozens of games.

The bar has really fallen. Aside the new faces.

We need to use two gks for the playoffs. How did we even arrive at this junction where no1 is so so bigger that no2 no even fit give assurance? I recall Ejide and Enyeama years. Ezenwa and Ikeme times.

We need to really talk about Nwabali. Attitude is the problem. We don't need that at this level.

More like 3 games and 4 in total.

2 games to become the continental champion which qualifies us for the intercontinental playoffs.

We would likely only play the Semi-Final as high ranked teams won't play the first game. Should we win that we would have qualified for the world cup.

So we need to win just 3 games to qualify.
Wow. You mean it? So we skip one game?

I have a thought

Mikel Merino and Gyokores can't be on the pitch at the same time

Both are on default finishing mindsets. They repel. Mikel will not drop his own instincts to make Gyokeres flourish. Gyokores can't act like Merino is the main man

Merino no go focus or flourish in midfield duties without that false 9 mode popping up. Not necessary for attack, but a minus for midfield.

I really feel for Osimhen. He may yet miss another WC because of some clowns that he has as teammates🥺

And if you minus his goals, we would have forgotten about WCQ long ago.
They all share the blame. Many blame Osimhen solely (i dunno why. That School of thought is the weakest). Others see the nonsense his teammates play and blame them.

It is quite some halleluyah that NFF is getting the least % of blame till date for this Predicament. There's no fire in the team sha. The coldness is felt. Many play like they're doing us a favour. Some only need the team as launch pad and starr misbehaving. It is ironic that the last coach that we witnessed some spark in the dressing room was Jpes. Since then it's been rubbish.

I really dream of a day this our nwfl will be a destination zone in female football for other African stars and even foreigners just the way Mexico is currently. We go need setup a lot of stuff off pitch to guarantee that level of attraction though.

How is ekong the official PK taker in this team when you have Osimhen and the likes? Bankygee is this proper?
Lol. Even Osimhen knows Ekong is better. Did you see how Osimhen didn't attack the post in case of rebound when Ekong took the PK? He knows na. Plus that's a nervy moment. Best to avoid it cos if e miss am, everywhere go hot. So the composed captain taking it is great for everyone.

The way this guy dey hug Saka like Mendes ehn. E dey follow Saka deep into our half. Eze should capitalize. As soon as Timber do the long pass to Saka, saka should release it instanta. The guy marking him no dey bother about the space wey dey hin back. That should open up sweet space. Na Saka be hin focus. It's also up to Eze now to continue the through balls as Odegaard is sadly off again. Omo!! Gyokores never play today aside this pressure and dragging these CBs.
