If you watch Serie A and Barclays era of EPL, there are many tackles that were absolutely normal then. Career ending tackles. Intact if they do such for 9/10 of attackers in the modern era, they will just retire.

What do you think when many were on the "fifa and uefa refs are favouring messi" of yesteryears? I recall a match vs Man U. Ronaldo was tackled hard and they didn't even blow. Messi was tackled hard and na yellow. To me that's evidence that Fifa knew that that era was get tough or die trying era.

Then we moved into the era where there were many adjustments and changes to rules and regulations. Then they didn't enjoy such privileges. I recall a game Ferdinand and Vidic tried to pull down Yak but he still bullied both. If na modern era, na pk instantly for that very pull and stamping.

The 30yard screamers have died. The ball was heavier then compared to now. If many shoot that ball currently, their leg go bend😂😂
Lampard and Gerard goals?
Xabi Alonso?
Hasselbaink?
Wright?
Muntari?

The injuries in modern football is disheartening. I also believe players should keep improving on their fitness and rest routines.

Also the academy players should be more utilized.
Some clubs have rigorous routines normally. Like way too normal that legs won't but give way. Post covid, many clubs adjusted their entire routine to reduce the visits to Luth. It was too much. Some stick to their stick dietary standards and use the hammer on all these partying and etc compared to others.

These generation of leaders are dumber than one puts them to be.

What's their beef with social media that they want to work so bad to stifle it in this particular manner? 🤣🤣🤣

They want to demand accountability from people calling them out when they can't even solve the banditry, kidnapping and terrorism issues despite the banks and phone numbers they use daily for their wicked activities??

😂

Social media will continue to elope their reach. They wished they could go all North Korea on this just to avoid being held accountable. Smh.

There is no way the players of the past can be more fit than the current generation. It is not even logical.

Did you read the Arsene Wenger quote I made?
Better to stand on the subjective stance than outright conclude they are unfit. There were many players of that era that played 30 consecutive games. Today it is a problem. Does that now mean i have to conclude they were more fit absolutely? No.

I saw the quote, but you are also aware that there's a study that also highlighted the increase in hamstring and co in modern football. Despite that study, we didn't conclude about modern football.

You saying they're unfit is wrong. Wrong wrong!!

The players of the past as a whole can't compare in fitness to the current players. I have watched some of them acknowledge it openly.
that's you handling the truth carelessly to conclude that way about them like that.

It's subjective at best. The current ones wey dey go Luth regularly? Wow.

You guys keep repeating the same thing but avoid the basic point.

The reason why the players of the past looked more technical is because there was a huge gap in quality. They were playing against unfit players.

Today players are faster, fitter, more technical, and more tactical. Even goalkeepers are now skillful, technical and tactical.

Your prime Ronaldo, Kaka, Ronaldinho will not skip past players today as they did in the past. The quality of the game has changed.
Naaah. This is too easy and absolutely wrong. Habaaaaaaaa.

I mean pre matchday. I saw the crowd. They really are loaded in that aspect. But for buzz to their arrival to the league-nothing. Just like another normal day in the office. Let's hope they drag attention to themselves like IK City and Remo did sha.

Nigerians no try. Milan fans like him and are bashing their club currently as we discuss. Does he need to limit those SM stuff? Absolutely. Do the Nigerian media need to do better? Absolutely. He's a pro. He needs to understand the environment he's in. I think this is becoming a problem with some of our players lately. They need to nip it.

I became a follower of the league in 2016 so I know this is not a new thing.

I don't know how it will happen o but there has to be a paradigm shift to the perception of not just football but sports. Majority of our problems will go away once there is a shift to seeing football through economical lenses.
Thank you for this! Plus instant noodles syndrome is affecting everyone.

Wikki Tourists are back and there's no buzz about that. No buzz around even the newly promoted Kun Khalifat and Barau FC. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️
Nothing to peak the interest of anybody. Shooting may relegate if they don't fix up. Bayelsa?? Naaah.
No be dis binary goals we need o. Caf CL is brutal. Score 01 for home league, go CL and chop 4 and 5 and barely score 5 overall across a campaign. Naaah

I hope those fans that thought Zubimendi was a downgrade to Partey dey shaa enjoy his game dey smile. He's a machine just like Rice. An intelligent player like Jorginho but quick with the ball and has more pace than both Partey and Jorginho. Looking to see how he performs against Mac Allister on Sunday.
If Calafiori can stay fit, that left hand side will always be a threat. I just wish he does a Timber and stay fit.
It's looking more like Martinelli will start against Liverpool, make be say him head don correct. Surprised Arteta didn't play him yesterday.
We can't full conclude yet sha. Why? When Partey was fit, he was multitasking. Plus Partey's bringing calmness in tight spaces is another feature Zubi is yet to show. He has many qualities that he brings to the table regardless but until December before i can begin to accommodate this school of thought that he's an upgrade to Partey overall. He definitely got more pace and directness though

Bro!!! Ah swear... Saka might be a muscle injury, looking to see how long he will be out. Ethan won't drop the level with odegaard out and with Dowman and Madueke down the right, I think we won't miss Saka much.
There's something Ethan does that Ode doesn't. You see that centre circle zone from the left to right, he covers it well, deep or at point. He isn't static to the RHS even if that's the zone he ought to operate. That alone made Dowman have space for 1v1. Sadly all the times he waved his hands, they didn't sight him and pass.

I hope Saka returns even more lethal. I dunno if it's what Gabriel Heinze dey do for training wey dey affect them though😂

Eze don dey. Make e connect with Gyokeres to punish that CBs of Liverpool wey Semenyo punish.

How our fullbacks got 5G/A though

Timber on 3g/a and Cala on 2Assists

Calafiori was at the halfway life when Gyokores touch the ball on the RW for his 1st goal. But he was already distracting the leeds gk as soon as Gyokores shot the ball for his 1st goal😹😹😹

The left hand side problems continue. At this rate, Calafiori is having more impact than the wingers there despite having to run from deep behind to come make an attacking threat. I don dey imagine the kine way someone like Lookman go get for that wing lasan. Or Eze(but me i prefer Eze from down the middle than the wings)

Merino looking pissed as e no play. E don forget say dem dey keep am for Liverpool his fave opponents.😆

CF and RW goals
RB goals

When will the LW and CMs join the basket of netting? Hopefully soon.

Timber the MOTM. The commentators said if he was on for that empty 20mins of no goals, he for get hattrick by now. Such a player we've got!!

It is sad that Gyokeres has to come dis wide and wide to create and score for himself. We absolutely have to change how we play with him.
if Eze plays down the middle, it might solve this issue. But these guys need more scream by the manager. They need to be conscious that a 9 is here already. He is the one that can impress and suppress at this stage. The guy needs more isolation and yards to run. Especially in this setpiece setup.

Opelope debut. That's what we talking about. Release ball early and when plenty space dey for this guy to run. No need to pin them back and be doing side to side passes and back passes. This guy is built to run, bully and hit, even without looking at the goalpost.

💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 Gyokores.

Eze is the happiest for that goal up the stands. Guy don dey imagine the bad things he and Gyok go dey do other teams already 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
