Jodera: .... Meaning we have a full week rest to prepare for man city with almost a full squad. I just hope Arteta and the boys bring us something special next week and not some cowardice game
lol
They use Norwich end the year. And Man City on Jan 1st. Omo!
Sterling Bernado Mahrez Jesus Foden KDB
Make e sha no reach 5. Wana see how Tierney fars against Him. But im suspecting Tavares will start that game.
Jodera: I feel they're working on Saka's goalscoring ability. The kind of confidence and drive for goals is having this past few weeks is not just coincidence, definitely something must be happening on the background and I'm loving it.
As for Pepe, I wasn't too impressed with him ystdy sha (personally), but I don't want to be too critical of him. I'm glad odegaard wanted to boost his confidence by giving him a goal, I noticed ystdy that immediately Pepe came on, almost all odegaard final through balls was to Pepe. That's what even caused the 5th goal that smith Rowe scored from sef.
I just wish Pepe would pick form, we need everybody to be up and running especially for this race for top 4 and I'm loving the competition amongst them.
Naso Smith go enter Golden boot race till end of season.
I want Nelli in the mix of things as much as the others.
Nelli can be starting or Arteta normalizes using Nelli and ESR as Supersubs. Its going to be fiery.
Mourinho is definitely seeing something at Emirates. He just wantu raid our midfield. First Xhaka, now Niles.
humility33: He is now FIFA errand boy and right hand man in Africa. Infantino is very close to him, he even gets to represent him in some occasions... This may put him in a bad light amongst other africa FAs and CAF. He could be a saboteur being that the western countries want a postponement or cancellation of CAF and him being close to thjs western block can be used to achieve this plans
Pinnick is playing a dangerous politics while using the NFF as the ladder to achieve his personal ambition
He's really played this part out so well. I'm afraid its when his tenure ends that we'll see the extent his shrewd politicking has gotten football admin in his time.
humility33: Just can't wait for this NFF era just like Buhari government to be over
I was thinking we southerners managing NFF will do things differently but it is obvious the Northerners are smarter and better so far when it comes to football administration in Nigeria
If you criticize the NFF now...just like Buhari foot soldiers, pinnick supporters will come quote u just like Buhari, Pinnick does no wrong.
Incompetence flows in all arms and agencies of the government. Why don't allow Equeavon led this team to afcon what is the obsession with a foreign coach
We need results, if Austin is unable to win the afcon then we can recruit a foreign coach.... at this time shopping for a foreign coach for the super eagles is ill timed and unnecessary....what we need is to put all hands on deck to achieve something from the forthcoming AFCON and afterwards we shift focus to the world cup
Pinnick need to get his priorities right, I believe the NFF is the one delaying the preparation and not the coaching crew
Philosopher1979: The sports minister should knock some sense into Amaju pinnick. He should be forced to accept Eguavon as the coach to Afcon or nothing else. Caf might even sanction us if we dont submit our final 28 man list on time. Sunday Dare should act fast and stop Amaju pinicks childish, corrupt tantrums
A scenario i hate seeing being Rinsed and repeated. An unending cycle of actions, like asif upgrading is impossible.
I'm not going to be suddenly comfortable with enikeni cos of they worked with someone. We can't repeat Rohr mistake. Besides its SE, the big brand here. Names that doesn't look it should not get it. We are suddenly trusting this guy due to the sugarcoating of Mou? I think Pinnick deliberately did this so we Nigerians will overlook sentimentally. Everyone trusting cos its Mou.
Even Pep and Klopp have made silly decisions at a point in time. I dunno why Mou's word is suddenly Platinum here. Not like he understands African football philosophy, etc.
Same old mistake.
Naso dem hype Lagerback with Tactician tag. Baba just dey touchline dey fold ams dey look like Lost Santa Claus.
Ejuke can then be a sub if that's how he wants but as others have opined, decision making. He can just zap out and go solo when teammates are expecting a pass in key positions. I hope its a secondary decision. Its Iwobi's and that's how it should be.
I miss Etebo. Reliable. Hope we have just that next year?
humility33: Yeah 3 games will reveal much about his playing style but i am not too happy that he is stuck on the 4 4 2 formation.... which he has an alternative like 4 5 1 formation to make for counter and thick the midfield when playing against attacking minded teams like Senegal/Algeria
What's has been the SE attacking formation when our fullbacks are with the attack? I've not really been able to pinpoint which. Also looking at which Eguavoen will use at AfCON.
iamoyindamola: Doesn't mean anything actually what i tell you i haven't seen pepe celebrate with his teammates since he's on bench
That's the more reason it was too obvious. Pepe celebrated. Leno did. Only Odegaard didn't. I've driven home my observation for that night. Doesn't mean I'm overthinking it anyways. I think its even healthier that way.
TheGoodJoe: Another thing I enjoyed about the video is Eguavoen revealing Kanu Nwankwo almost made the USA 94 squad. That was shocking.
Then I also liked his point of when we play in a direct fashion, he needs all offensive playeors and support running at full speed.
That was nice to know.
More or less the Liverpool style. We'd need a Henderson and Fabinho for that. I think we got such mould to make this work, don't you think? Well, lets see how 3games goes with this experiment.
elyte89: @thegoodjoe,Mr tactics and odas..let's watch dis eguavoen analysis and rate him
Baba nla
Nice And direct analysis here. I was expecting something about the modern pattern, but as I've seen, he wants to replicate that winning team style, which means he personally believes we have the players to do just that.
Just one thing though-forcing teams to the sides in modern game is still scary. Maybe it will work vs African teams.
For that work rate, Ndidi-Onyeka may be in his starting XI.
But Wingers may not have that energy to do it solo cos spaces gets closed down easily and fullbacks are much part of midfield and attack these days.
Overall, i believe the boys will understand him and he will get the best of them. Anyone wey no wan put in extra work should gerrarahere from the GWG.
Hopefully, we aren't taken by surprise if Qatar comes. Cos that "we did all we did, but were overwhelmed by the more resolute blah blah" excuse no be am.
Silentgroper: Was it not odegaard dat made d assist to esr
The Southampton game is what im referring to. He was off and he was looking sulky even cameras showed he was the ONLY one that didn't even flinch as ESR's goal went in.
That's why i said that earlier. His assist may make him look like he's overlooked that but watch out.
Subzero047: If you don't know about business deals just shut up, imagine you calling Nike shirt contact unreasonable, Man U made only 13million Euros from all the Cr7 shirt sales and noise maybe you were expecting Nike and Nigeria to share the money 50:50 business mogul
Guy, no need to parade shut ups, cos no matter how you want to coat it, even down to me being ignorant about deals, we both know that was one deal that shows the level of acumen oga P has in his sleeves. Oh c'mon, spare me the cr7 talk. Its not comparable.
Subzero047: Brazilian coach? Do you know any reputable Brazilian coach, Europe is still the best when it comes to coaches
They may have best concentration of coaches. It doesn't translate to better handling of African teams. They most times just never understand the terrain, the players, and the philosophy. And they don't seem eager to want to do so cos its always short term to them.
We don't need the coach to be as that reputable(neither do we need the coach to be so off radar like Peseiro, if that rumor is true), but at Least knows the terrain is always not the same as Europe.
humility33: Yeah he is doing well with this sponsorship deals But he needs to do more currently we have no good grass root structures to unearth talents for under 17 and under 20. We ought to have a standing under 17 and 20 teams
Perhaps the deals may be his accolades when he leaves, especially if next doesn't even try to do better.
