You really believe that.huh ❓

A Nigerian player will pursue glory ( relatively speaking) over multi million pound marketing endorsements.

As soon as Rashford got capped he got an annual £2 million endorsements from Nike to name just one. That's approx £40k a week for essentially doing nothing.

And our 9ja players will reject that over what you call glory.

I have my doubts.
Its not always about the cash for the SE. They get all that at Club level. Besides you keep bringing up Rashford. I'd bring up Sterling too. These guys wantu make a point in relation to their background of poverty. Without sponsorship, Rashford is okay with his feeding program but yet. So, Rashfor is doing 'something'!!!

But for the SE, is it a money spinner always that you'd think they wana do so for majorly the cash? No!!! Then i can't even relate to naija born guys wanting to hope on the 3 Lions if the opportunity presented itself.

The Ighalo situo is relatable... just to sign for dream club. Something thats common with virtually all pro Naija footballers... They will do anything to play for dream club.

Finally, So the Pernandes isn't going to be the best 18 in the EPL again? Cool.

Arsenal are rude. But i think our club is one of the clubs in Europe that knows virtually allll the rules involved in the game but 90% of the fieldplay rules Don favour us always. Very ironic and hilarious. We passed thru la liga. Lol.

Guen finally in Hertha. Lucky he's not thrown away. If James Rodiguez is taking EPL like this, i expect Partey to start picking up numbers. The last time we had a long range short was when Torreira did so last season against Wolves or so a few games towards end of season.

Theo Walcott has returned home for retirement football. He's back to Southampton. Iwobi has some space now to making top 3 subs if he starts from the bench giing forward. Well since he desired giving baba selection headache, im sure he meant it.

This is how I would line up against Algeria given the circumstances. I believe Agu and Onyeka might be a match made in heaven because they compliment each other's quality. Agu sits back and gives passes to start of the attack while Onyeka does everything box to box so there won't be an issue of getting in anyone's way like when Etebo and Ndidi play.

Either way it goes we will have quality players both on the field and on the bench
onuachu will start instead

But there was improvement towards the end of last season na.
More so, i feel Arteta is benching him and easing him slowly so that the expectations and price tag won't overwhelm him, thereby making him play his game
Which games? Our last 10games in all competitions was all about Aubameyang's influence. Yeah slight improvement, but still very much unimpressed.

I feel he can be taught that, tho not defence-splitting passes, but forward passes.
I prefer him and ceballos in that midfielder over xhaka and ceballos.
At least he helps the defence and he's not easily dispossessed compared to xhaka.

Why Arteta doesn't like torreira is what I cannot wrap my head around. U feel torreira and ceballos would have made our midfield more formidable than as it is presently
Taught?

Arsenal dey teach? And na Elneny go learn? If The club teaches and improves a player then why didn't they simply tutor Iwobi on shooting practices for 3weeks? Why didn't they teach Kolasinac positioning? Definitely not Arsenal. Maybe South Hampton, WestHam, ehen.

And that's a sad one overall. We no get such time jare. Era of boys don pass. Lol

If Dribbling fades from the world of football, its gonna be a sad sport. Elneny dey weak person and so so robotic. Very predictable unlike Dani or Willian. Is that why a player should exist in our XI? To be the midfielder of back passes? I just weak.

Na true, make dem tellam say no be haram. angry
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 10:11am On Oct 05, 2020
If nothing enters, then its best if Willian plays the 10 o. And let Auba be more central than win. Seems Saka and Tierney hage better understanding than With Auba-Tierney. Its evident in the one sided attack we employ in games these days. And Mehn, are we stuck with Elneny? He barely makes a risky run to open up things, the backpass is an eyesore. The centre is empty.

Then we need to grad from this level of just being satisfied with getting 3points pls. See the rampage that happened yesternight? They all smell blood and boom, the goals starting coming. We smell blood to but decided on keeping possesion, when we should have been ruthless after 2-0 and make it 4, 5, 6-0.

They sensed our lack of wanting more, brought on a 10 and McGoldrick gets a sweet left footed goal. Smh.

Lets expand our GD whenever we see the chance. Forget, SHU weren't all closed up that we now decided on waiting for an opening. They were tired.

There are others considerations.

The minute you as a young player with great potential and promise get an England call the marketing and sports endorsements start to come in.

When Rashford got his England call up his marketing value sky rocketed first endorsements with NIKE was about £2million pounds it's now about £10million annually.

These are MAJOR CONSIDERATIONS, now compare the marketing endorsements from the African continent and Nigeria. Think about that.

I have often said this that if Nigerian born and bred players had an opportunity to play for England would they say NO. I cannot oh, l love Nigeria my country, l can not lie, na for inside naija l go dye, l don't need those Millions of £££ or your passport.

KC is classed as an English homegrown player from Manchester city ( FIFA rules) l wonder if he had the opportunity to change allegiance and play for England.

Do you think he will say NO, honestly speaking❓ ❓
Nice one on bringing the aspect of the more marketable team to the fore. It can be a decider for some. But we both know that is not what decides choices for National team. Glory, fame, being a star, getting numbers and caps, that supersedes your point. We both know that. Tomori and Abraham have the market but if they don't kick ball again, the regrets will flourish. That's the truth.

Not that the SE is easy to waltz in to as opined by some, but its easier to get all what a player wants with the SE than with a team that is so loaded and star studded like England right now.

As for if Naija borns will wana grab opportunity, let's be more realistic. Performance isnt really top guage for the English team. No one has a starters shirt fully assured except in the attack option right now. So once again, its about getting consistent caps and winning laurels. Well i know you know that already. So I'll leave that.

KC change Allegiance? When he's worshipped like a god in Naija? See the welcome given Iwobi which till date, he affirms amazes and shook him to the core. The love the SE gives their players is way way bigger than the love the English will ever give their top stars. That's a big fact out there. That is also a difference.

In conclusion, Its not just about the money, its also about the Glory.

From what I see, the dude really likes Nigeria, unlike some of our fake citizens there. But see, no matter what Intel is passed or not passed, an England call up is irresistible. If he really rejected it at first, then a standing ovation for him. Players literally throw parties to celebrate a national call-up for a team as England.
You may be right, but still does not mean they have the necessary intel on the SE, enough to weigh and decide if we are going to do great things in coming years. He's a fan of our games, but its obvious that's where his knowledge stops.

Overall, he went for the more marketable team in his opinion. But to reason na only England go do great things.. Lol

Saka's word to Nigeria
Best of luck to him. They definitely will do great stuff. Nigeria will too. That's the aspect he misses it all. It is way beyond tryna be a supporter of our games. Whatever way, its his decision. I like how he went about it. That earns him respect. But as usual, its way too obvious some intel aint passed across enough or gotten.

They know little about the SE. The Connection should be more than mere heritage. Sadly, that's where it presses full stop for most of them.

Loved his goal today.
