TheGoodJoe: Thank you. Also, did anyone notice that as soon as Iwobi left the field, David Silva had acres of space to cause damage. It was just that we did not take our chances.
People are tagging Iwobi as poor but there was something which he did well. His work rate was high and he helped the defence a lot.
I do not think it was a case of Iwobi being poor but Manchester City having a phenomenal game. They were brilliant today.
The cry for Ozil and Ramsey is another misconception. These guys can not play with the kind of intensity Emery wants. Apart from Toreira and Guendozi, Iwobi was the person I noticed in the Arsenal side put phenomenal work rate.
Apart from Toreira and Guendozi, the whole team looked average. I think that is enough sign to cut Iwobi some slack.
Finally, Dennis Suarez could not cause much damage too. Someone will now think that taking sides with Iwobi is sentimental. mtchew. He was asked to do stuff and he did just that save that first error. Guen was told to cover for Kola but Bernado kept getting behind his sorry hair. That team is average and at least let us all know that anymanager with stick with a dribbler than someone that only offers passes and backpasses. |

Suarez is coming from the best league in the world so stop making Epl special
Suarez can't make city team because there are betters players than him Oga this isnt about special anything. Every league is unique in their own way. Once Suarez adapts, and stats prove him okay, then you can now begin to say such when comparing him and iwobi pls. Its just simple!! meanwhile Arsenal fans are really impatient. can he be any form of messiah right now? a big capital NO!!! |

Sad thing is I don't see much of a difference between now and last season. This isn't what Wenger was sacked for... I wonder how he motivates in that dressing room sef. le prof is the yardstick for now, until something new is done. |

The money generated from Arsenal goes to fund the Rams. Hes building a new stadium for the rams and he just relocated the team to Los Angeles even at a loss.
Arsenal is just a cash cow to him. As long as the ticket sales are coming in and prices keep going up at the Emirates he has nothing to worry about A big pity. heard its less than 100milla in profits for the whole last year. and salary alone costs 286milla. smh |

tbaba1234: Iwobi and Kolasinac has been Arsenal's driving force this season in terms of creating chances but people are just waiting for the boy to have a poor game. Thanks for this fact. I dunno, but cant people see that its been long Arsenal drive right thru the middle that has midfielders to get a goal? Its always Iwobi's left angle. always, and then the goal comes. Kola had 3shots in the first half. more shots than Auba and laca combined. This simply translates to a non existent midfield. Very non existent. i wonder if arsenal fans would wake up and know that they cant continue to blame woes on this young boy that is the only dribbler in the team. nobody sees the lazy body language of Aubamayang cos he is the top scorer. Nobody sees the indecision of Guen when he reaches the box or way in his own half with only a defender behind him. No one would see that. Torreira is running and running, thats all i see. |

edi287: That's the truth of the matter. Till Arsenal stops been stingy and spend big on a winger - Iwobi will keep getting games under Emery. Arsenal fans better get used to it. Dude is still young and will improve. All these tacticians that want finushed products sef. Why cant Iwobi be worked on? it beats me. why? at least to make fans know you are doing something really positive. But Emery prefers to send beef and kill fish in the pitch when its not the sea. He may nit have the players, but he gats work on what he has. At least Wenger did that. |

Mickael2: My point was never even bench him today or tomorrow, I already said long ago that Arsenal needs to buy actual wingers, however Suarez is a decent winger we will see what he can offer.
Arsenal's midfield isn't exactly crippled. Torreria is a guy that will run for 120 minutes and still run home from the stadium, Guendozi is a guy that can keep things ticking, his short passes are good and he recycles possession perfectly well. These two things are vital in any midfield. The problem with Arsenal is down to creativity and their defence. These are defensive minded midfielders you mentioned, thats why i said the middle have serious issues that would get punished by big teams. dunnow hich game it was in November, but Guen and Torreira with Niles kept passing the ball to each other at the halfline with othe opp team just sitting back and defending. They gave Arsenal a 73% ball possesion. just two of them!!! I dont need such eyesore display when you should be cracking down defences instead of waiting for them to move a bad leg or make some school boy errors. Thats my issue with this team. Iwobi would continue to be worshipped until another dribbler comes into the team. thats just it!! |

edi287: Iwobi is a better ball carrier imo while Suarez is more technically gifted. Arsenal just wasted their time in this transfer window. At the end of the day - Iwobi is still the only one that can drive into the opposition's box. God bless you for this. I am not defending iwobi, but lets be sincere, he and kola on that left wing have created 80% of the chances that were converted as goals. Remove these two from arsenal and you would have a championship team with two world class strikers that touch the ball less than 10times in 90mins. the whole arsenal midfield are waste. |

Danielnino00: What a pathetic display from Arsenal .. City just used them for training...
As for Iwobi, anybody that doesn't agree that he is bang average is just being sentimental... Iwobi has never hit double figure in goals and assists in all competition for arsenal in a single season.. And his lack of consistency is a major problem... I guess this season isnt a nigerian season atall. Funny enough, the coaching staff hace never been heard of working on improving iwobi in his weaknesses. Meaning the coach isnt even worried about what or what not he offers, other than his chance creation and dribbling. |

Mickael2: Has he ever in his career possessed these qualities? Except maybe crossing. Does that mean he has been low on confidence all his career? Maybe he should consider the Wijnaldum option, maybe just maybe he will turn into at least a decent holding midfielder (although his games in that position most especially the game against Libya doesn't give me much confidence).
Let me ask you a very very honest question, do you think Iwobi can make the first team of Real Madrid, Barca, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG, Atletico, Juve, Napoli in fact any decent team in the world? Or will he even manage to be the first player off the bench for these clubs? Oga Mike, easy with the big teams stuff now!! haba. u wan wash Iwobi dis bad? easy o. arsenal reach these teams for quality? so why force the question of if he will enter their teams. shuu. |

When Suarez siddon adapt to epl tempo you can start to say what he offers on the "epl table" is more than what iwobi offers. Thats my take on this o. Epl is diff even if this guy was at man city years back, this was his official debut. |

Mickael2: Icon4s and Tbaba plus all them Arsenal fans.....COYG!!!!! This match is going to end 3-4 with a hattrick from Leno.
Like I have said before, a team where Iwobi is the first choice winger is at best a top 8 team. Let us see what Suarez will bring though, after watching him for over five years now at Villarreal, Barca and Sevilla I actually see him as an upgrade on Iwobi, no offence really. Then why does the coach keep Ozil entirely out of the team? There is no tactics in this world that a coach could adopt that would potentially keep Ozil out of the first XI or out of the team as a whole. Unaichukwu Emery isn't an upgrade after all or should I blame the Arsenal transfer policy? Lol i guess the urgency is why he is this important. Arsenal gat some shitty players, and im saying this as an arsenal fan. Man you cant bench the only dribbler you get in the team. arsenal needs dribblers. Besides that midfield is very very crippled. |

elyte89: Iwobi just caused a goal...indecision killed him again dere Twitter guys want him sold for that error. lol. They want Emery to sell the only dribbler the team has? see sometimes, i do compare arsenal with SE. They lack cojones. But i think the SE have swap destiny with Arsenal. Arsenal needs a new owner. Stan and Josh were seen smiling in the us stadium for the superbowl. but when the pair are in emirates, its all frown, frown frown. And they dont wana spend the cash? Limp middle. |

hoopLA: Kroenke is more concerned with Superbowl tonight than this bunch of unserious players. Lol. The same Kroenke wants to be doing like he is justified? He is the pain in the as here. seriously. The club needs new owners, maybe arabs. 2003/4 should be the standard and cash gats be spent in this era to achieve that. That team were invincible and the bench was very competitive mehn. Now, all we have on bench are players that Emery have issues with, yet they make his bench cos he has no other choice Arsenal fans are fools, esp those attending the games. I saw the superbowl pics, he seems happy there that when he is inside Emirates. he makes cash in england and transfers it to usa. |

Pep definitely wants to dominate the entirety of this game with this formation and player selection. A selection that has KDB, B.Silva, D.Silva, Sterling, Gunda and Aguero spells a long night for Arsenal.
That being said #COYG Arsenal the only club that their fans can correctly predict their fate before a game with lil change to the prediction. chai. kroenke ehn Even Southampton dont fear like us. We are right sha cos this team is still shitty. |

They should use the Newcastle method. Still waiting for a game this season where the midfield would be credited with making a game turn in favour of Arsenal.
19goals against top 6 looks like 3goals per game. thats not good for defence. |
