Celebrities › Re: Nollywood Famous Trending Themes by daveP(m): 2:08pm On Oct 25, 2014 |
@lalasticlala, lemme pick one or two figure heads for each trend(spanning say ten years or less) 1) Alex Usifo: that thick baritonic voice coupled with an occultic scene and keyboard spelling danger! You will fear ( there was a time the whole family thought he was in the occult in real life). I think it part of what made him to change his roles to soap operas (heaven's gate, etc) * The occult priest in heaven must shake-Charles Nze---- *Pete Edochie- made this theme so so....., chai!! *Eucharia- those witchy eyelashes( heard a filmmaker said its one of the reasons they ran after her to come play the role) * fathia balogun, clem ohaneze, kenneth okonkwo, kanayo kanayo(adanma it is me, your boy) 2) Justified Olu Jacob: (to mike ezuronye acting his prince) (in shaky baritonic voice) he is not my san(the way Baba Olu pronounces 'son' on set- wait why did u attempt a mimick? ) Pete Edochie: (to chiwetel agu) you are hereby ba......( dies before completing the word 'banished' to the shock of his chiefs) 3) yeah Ramsey Noah, Hanks anuku and Desmond Elliot. 4)Justified. Her eyes alone. I hope its not one of the reasons husband never show face(cos of her roles) 5)justified 6)Mercy Johnson(her 1st 3yrs newly), Eucharia. 7) justified. But il add some yoruba actresses too. 8 )....... 9)epic and il mention monalisa, chika ike and iya rainbow, bukky wright 10) the late Sam Loco, aki en pawpaw. Cant add more, except the 11)kidnap era- a whole bus is kidnapped and a prophet some place is 'led' by the Spirit to trace the shrine , thus a 'versus' ensues. Charles Okafor(pastor) and one random priest like that priest throws charm and pastor's waist pains him on the spot. He recovers and shakes the bible vibrantly and shouts, priest spins on the spot and collapses. or one fire from 'above' catches a shrine and it burns 'miraculously cc: kachisbarbie, naijaboiy |
Politics › Re: Fashola For President In 2019? by daveP(m): 8:10am On Oct 25, 2014 |
Hmm, i prefer he remains 'fresh' cos as MB is contesting, if he wins and performs, Fashola gets a herculean task breaking away( if his party refuses him a ticket by then) to fufill that presidential ambition. So he will start crosscarpeting? And if MB does bad, people will see him with the eye they used to look@ MB. It will even get worse cos MB have a record of statements and acts behind him from the past.
I'm sure as an individual, Fashola have already towed this line of thought(s), so i prefer his senatorial ambition for now.
Besides, how many VPs have been so so influential outside the powers of the Presido?
MB is old now. Nawa o! Besides (just curious) why does he still stick 'General' to his nomenclature? |

IrishKez: I have a purpose of being here and believe me it's been actualized: Meeting a broad spectrum of Nigerian youths who I couldn't otherwise meet in person and understanding how they reason and interact with one another. Their goals and aspirations, their sense of responsibility, their hopes, their expectations for Nigeria and their commitment to seeing its actualization, their willingness to make sacrifices, their ability to yield, their honesty, their interest, their wishes, their drives, their anger, their source of happiness, their determination, their patronage, their belief and how it affects their lives in actual fact, their level of tolerance and what they can tolerate, their will, their resilience, their tribal attachment and disinterest in them, their understanding of the polity, their interest in politics and why, their criticism, their reasons for fighting, their interest in one another, their sincerity, their level of education, their hate, their jealousy, their love, their confidence and lack thereof, their agitations, their foolishness, their un/selfishness, their truth/half truth/falsehood and why, their friendliness/enmity and how easy it could be to switch from one to the other, their views on the ruling class, their price, their understanding of the family as the no.1 agent of socialization, their upbringing and sense of responsibility toward them, their personal principles and values, their trustworthiness, their thoughts/speech/conduct, their views of the opposite sexes, their respect, their arrogance, their........
They shall come in handy when it shall be needed cos these are the people I hope to work with in the future.

(walks in silently into empty hall, dusts piano and sits, tests runs it and then starts solo-tapping)
(voices becomes touchy instantly exactly like bryan's as he frowns and plays passionately)
I could start dreamin' but it never ends
As long as you're gone we may as well pretend (looks up)
I've been dreamin'
Straight from the heart
You say it's easy but who's to say
That we'd be able to keep it this way
But it's easier
Straight from the heart
Give it to me straight from the heart
Tell me we can make another start (increases pitch and tempo) You know I'll never go
As long as I know
It's comin' straight from the heart
I'll see you on the street some other time
And all our words would just fall out of line
I was dreamin'
Straight from the heart
Give it to me straight from the heart
Tell me we can make another start
You know I'll never go
As long as I know
It's coming straight from the heart
Give it to me straight from the heart
Tell me we can make one more start
You know I'll never go
As long as I know
It's coming straight from the heart
As long assssssss i know
It's coming straight from the heart
(reduces tempo to slowers wrap-up pace)
As long as i know(changes to a soft, yet audible voice)
ITS COMING................
STRAIGHHHHHT (Frowns to kick of vocal chord, and stops pressing piano) FROMMMMM THE HEAArrrrrrrrttttttt(resumes pressing and finally ends performance)
(stands up and walks towards exit door, switches of the last glimmer on the hallway)
