As for me, I rather go to a country where I'll be treated wt disrespect than my own country where I get humiliated on a daily bases.

FamilyAirport Cleaner Who Returned N12M Has Salary Increased To N15,000. by David0(op): 9:13am On Mar 07, 2015
There is some ray of hope for Josephine Agwu, the airport cleaner who found and returned N12m to its owner.

The Lagos State House of Assembly, last Monday, concluded plans to invite and honour her. And her employers have increased her salary from a paltry N7,800 to N15,000 per month. And in her words, “FAAN (Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria) said that they are going to give me automatic employment, but I have not heard from them till now.”

Miss Agwu, a cleaner with Patovilki, a concessionaire handling the cleaning of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos, found the N12m while cleaning a toilet near the screening point of the departure area of the airport, and took it to the security post. The owner later came and the security returned the money to the owner and disclosed how Miss Agwu found the money and brought it to them. After counting the money and it was complete the owner simply looked at Agwu and walked away. This was the third time she was returning lost bags containing huge sums of money.Speaking also with Saturday Vanguard, the beautiful lady, Josephine Ugwu, who has been catapulted to limelight, relived the experience that day:
“I am from Enugu State, from Obonkpa in Nsukka Local Government. I live at Agbotukunyo in Agege. The incident happened on the 23rd of January 2015. I was on morning duty. So as I was sweeping around 6:30pm, I saw the bag on the ground and there were some passengers there so I thought that the bag could belong to one of them. But as I closed at 7:20pm, the person to relieve me on duty came that time.”
“I was going to the toilet again, I saw the same bag there. Then I told the passengers sitting there that they should be mindful of the bag because once they announce the flight they may forget it. They replied that the bag did not belong to them. Three of the passengers left, so I then picked the bag and took it to the FAAN security people. At first, they put the bag on the screening machine, before they opened the bag and discovered that there were many envelops in the bag containing money in different currencies including dollars.”
“As they were counting it, I saw an NDLEA woman accompanied by one man and both of them were coming towards us. They said that the man could be the owner of the bag. So when they came in, they interviewed the man and the man mentioned the amount of money and the colour of the bag. Before then, they had counted the money and it was exactly the amount that the man said.”
“Then they carried the money and gave to the man for him to count. After counting, they asked him if the money was complete, he said yes and they snapped him picture. They asked him again about three times and they told the man that, ‘look at the woman that picked your bag’, and the man was looking at me. His name is Mr. Obinna Samuel. They told him that he should thank his God that if it were another person, that person would have run away with the bag but this woman didn’t do that. So I left and the man took the money and put inside the bag and went away.”
“Then FAAN security personnel called me back, and they took my number On-Duty-Card (ODC) and my name. That was how it happened. People are praising me, FAAN said that they are going to give me automatic employment but I have not heard from them till now.”
Miss Ugwu is aware of how she is being viewed by some Nigerians. She was reported to have advised:
“People should appreciate what they have. People do a lot of bad things because they are not happy with what they have. With the little I earn, I try to manage it well. If I can’t manage that small money that I earn, even if I begin to earn N1 million, I will still not know how to manage it.
“So, I am telling every Nige rian to be happy in any situation they find themselves. Don’t be faster than your shadow because so many things will go wrong. Sometimes things get bad because people want to be like others. All fin gers are not equal. It is true that God promised those who serve him riches, but people should be careful how they go about it. I am telling people to have pa tience. It is because people want quick money that is why some people become thieves.
She concludes:
“On the part of my management, in fact they are happy, all my supervisors. In short they are doing good things for me, even they are carrying me like egg, even my MD. They have added money to my salary. In short, my manager, Madam Eunice has been doing many things for me since the incident, praising me. She said that she knows that she can trust me, and that I cannot see anything that does not belong to me and I take it away.”

As for Matic, I dnt blame him. No mata hw prof u r, ur still human. D Ref is d man to blame here. Dat foul on Matic was career threatening but d Ref for wat I dnt knw didn't c it.
I ll only wait to c wat d FA ll do regarding dat foul, cos if na chelsea dem go carry am for head.

PoliticsRe: Igbo In Lagos Endorse Agbaje by David0(m): 6:36pm On Feb 17, 2015
ishiamu:
The traditional heads of Ndigbo in Lagos, led by Eze Ohazulike, on Monday, endorsed the candidacy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje, for the governorship race in the state.

The endorsement was made known after a meeting of the traditional leaders at the Palace of Ohazulike.

Addressing newsmen on their deliberations, Ohazulike said the group took the decision after studying the manifestos of the various political parties vying for the election in the state.

“After exhaustively studying the manifesto and matters concerning our interests, we resolved that the interests of Ndigbo in Lagos would be better protected under a future Agbaje-led administration.
“Accordingly, we endorse him as the candidate of Ndigbo in the coming governorship elections on behalf of our subjects and Igbo people in the state,” he said.

Uwazulike also urged Igbo in Lagos to vote for Agbaje, saying he is the only candidate who has good plans for indigenes and non-indigenes in the state.

He described Agbaje as a man of character and integrity whom he believed would deliver his campaign promises.

He said so much has happened in the past 16 years in the state, which necessitates change.

The traditional leader also urged the Igbo people to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Some of the traditional leaders at the event included Eze John-Greg Ezebuadi, Eze Benjamin Eluii, Eze Ikem Agbasi, Eze Jonathan Ekwem and Eze Samuel Udol among others.

Well guys, I can't give any assurance about weda it is genuine or not. There's alot to be considered.

Maybe 7up Bottling Company decided its high time they have their own website just like NBC and do a direct recruitment just like NBC.

Policies are usually subject to change.

Besides, u submit ur CV to their website doesn't mean they will carry out the recruitment process themselves.

They kud also outsource the Aptitude testing to Dragnet like Ebuka said.

But as always, give it a try, but wen ur asked to pay, u know wat to do.

Also note, the company u asumed u submitted ur CV to, may not be wat d fraudsters want to use. They might just need to get ur details and defraud u using other means.

So just be careful.

PoliticsAPC Raises Alarm Over Withdrawal Of Customs, Immigration Personnel From Border by David0(op): 10:15am On Feb 17, 2015
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised an alarm over a strange directive ordering Customs, Immigration and other security personnel to withdraw from the country’s border posts in Kebbi and Katsina States, wondering what purpose such a directive was meant to serve.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the verbal directive led to the total withdrawal of the stated personnel from the border posts in the two states, leaving the posts unmanned and prone to illegal entry in light of the prevailing security situation.

It wondered who gave the order and for what purpose, and asked the Federal Government to immediately tell Nigerians what happened.

“It will not be enough for the government to tell Nigerians that it is not aware of such a development, because that will be more egregious than what happened in the first instance, and will amount to the government not being able to secure the country’s borders.

“It is also necessary to tell Nigerians how many states were affected by such orders. We were only made aware of two, but there is the possibility that the directive could have been more widespread”, APC said.

The party said with no one left to man the borders in the affected areas for as long as the directive lasted, which is yet to be determined, anything could have happened.

“Who gave the verbal order? Was the order given verbally so that there will be no evidence of it? Were the Customs, Immigration and other security personnel ordered away to allow the free entry of contraband goods, election materials, weapons, terrorists or what?

“Even with our borders manned, Boko Haram terrorists have been marauding freely along the border areas. Will this illegal order not worsen the security situation, at a time the government is giving Nigerians the assurance that it will deal Boko Haram a mortal blow within six weeks?” it queried.

APC said the development, coming a day after leaflets were distributed in Gombe warning people against coming to the polling booths on election days, raises more fears over the ongoing scheming by the Jonathan Administration and the PDP to ensure the rescheduled elections do not hold.

“In pursuit of this objective, these band of desperate people will do anything, including threatening the very existence of the country. Nigerians must not allow them”, the party said.
