Just got an employed few days ago... Started training dat day... 3days later I was walked out of the training for refusing to dance to a song titled 'shake body' by skales...
The management said am not a team player... Buh I objected because being a team player doesn't mean I should break my personal principles...

As a Christian I use my body to dance to songs that praise God...I can also dance to a good song even if itx secular like 'Godwin'... Or ' happy ' by Pharrell Williams and e.t.c... Am a spiritually detailed person... I carefully do things that are free of viruses... I believe the name of JESUS or the Kingdom of God should be praised in a song and not a woman or her body... Songs create an atmosphere...some will say it doesn't matter buh many songs have corrupted the society we live today... I don't mind losing the Job if my Spirituality will be affected... I believe things that are morally good can be used to foster teamwork


What's ur advice as a believer to another believer concerning a matter like this...

Well Op, it is difficult to understand why any organization wud sack u for simply refusing to dance to a secular song.
I wud only bliv it's probably the manner in which u sent d msg, which kud give a negative perception about the way u relate with ppl, especially those who are nt so spiritual like u.
The mgt therefore felt u ll b very difficult to work with.

I will advice u ease up a bit. We shud always have it at d back of our mind dat tho we r Christians, we r in the world but not of the world. Hence, we hv to be wise in d way we deal wt ppl of d world otherwise, we will only end up on the losing side and become a laughing stock to the devil.

The bible says b wise as a serpent and b harmless like a dove.

Am not saying u shud compromise, am just saying b careful in the manner u pass ur msg, so ppl respect ur decision but not question ur attitude.

Do u realize this is d 3rd or 4th auditorium. And d purpose for building dis auditorium is always d same reason u gave(ppl r standing in d rain). Y didn't dey think ahead dat members will continue to increase. Y not expand d one in use n save cost. Does it mean dey ll continue to build auditoriums because members r increasing. Solomon u talked about built a temple for God, not temples especially at d same premise. It's waste of resources.
Can u send ur child to redeem university?. Is the church solely meant for the rich. If everyone can't b rich, does it mean wen we have an opportunity like education Whr dey can benefit from, we shud still take it away frm dem cos dey r nt meant to b rich?

When u talk of project like dis, it shud b one dat is expected to serve for a long time, such dat u won't hv to think about such in years to come. Redeem is on a different mission, they just want to occupy that land wt no space left. Those pastors committee coming up wt all dis silly ideas can never b trusted.

I bet in next 4-5yrs after d completion of dis auditorium, they ll start talking of another auditorium.

Am a believer, but I don't support dis wastage. Billions of money u wud use to change d life of Billions of poor ppl all over the world, we rather invest in auditorium. This is about the 3rd or 4th auditorium dats being built.
The University is only for the rich. I will not be surprised if after dis auditorium, another one begins. Seems to me, some certain ppl make money from all dis auditoriums.

Hmmm...funny, so that even the speaker doesn't understand what he himself speaks.

My pastor has told us many times during prayer sessions to start praying in tongue. And I ask myself, y shud I be saying things dat I personally don't understand.
I've always believed speaking in tongues has to do wit language, a known language. God gave some gift of speaking in tongues and some the gift of interpretation of tongues.

My question is simply, what is the essence of the speaking in tongues?
Is it for us to communicate wt God?
I tot its to help us win souls by speaking in languages that people will understand. Such dat when u move from Nigeria to Japan, u won't have problems preaching the gospel in Japanese even tho u had no prior knowledge of how to speak japanese.

The only way u can defeat it, is by overcoming ur fears. The more u r afraid, the stronger it becomes. It capitalizes on ur fears. When it happens, just relax take a glass of water. Calm ur fears n go back to sleep. Or u can turn on the light wen u sleep at night, till ur able to overcome ur fears.
