But why is Obasanjo always praising himself? This is the second time he's saying he's a boss to Buhari. Pride goes before a fall, says the Holy Book. This was how Akpabio was boasting how he was going to win his election within 3 hours only for him to lose woefully. |
Sunnymatey:If that's the case, then it's OK. |
I'm not understanding. Is there a high-powered conspiracy against APC candidates nationwide or the courts are taking these cases by merits? |
Total lies. |
Interesting. I have always known this man is a fraud and I never waste my time to watch his programmes on cable TV. Even when I choose to watch, it's to see his fraud and deception. |
This is one of the things that give northerners sense of fulfilment. The other one is having their brother as president perpetually, whether their lives improve or not. |
zeromeridian:I'm neither Igbo nor Yoruba, but this your divide tactics is very sickening, evil and silly. |
theenchanter:By 'dreadful', he meant 'it was intimidating and great.' |
I believe this man is evil and has hands in Boko Haram, but the govt must obey the court or slam him with charges that cannot enable him getting a bail. Is that so hard? |
Here in Nigeria, it's only politicians that do this when elections are approaching. Ghana can never forget the works of Jerry Rawlings; Buhari would have come close to being like him if he had a smart mind, was detribalized, and hard-working. |
It's a power purchase agreement. And by the way, that a power plant was constructed in your state doesn't mean you own the power plant. |
OK |
Lalasticlala, pls edit the title to indicate that it's a throwback story, because this event happened more than 1 year and 7 months ago. MODIFIED. Pavore9:That's right; it happened on September 1st 2017. Thanks. |
Anything is possible in the court of law. Last year, Kenya's Supreme Court Justices cancelled their presidential election and ordered a fresh election. I'm sure that the opposition candidate Raila Odinga, would have won if not that he pulled out of the rerun saying he doesn't trust the same electoral commission chairman that conducted the annulled to conduct a free and fair election. |
These people are really hilarious. You got more milk from your cows "after Buhari won", to you, means the cows are happy for his re-election. ![]() Illiteracy and poverty are a twin disease that affect the entirety of a man's being. Especially illiteracy. |
Kwara governorship is done and dusted in the favour of APC. It's not about the APC candidate; it's about breaking free from the servitude of the Saraki dynasty. If the two major candidates were switched, Kwarans would still vote for APC, just to avoid being in Saraki's camp. Tinubu's time is coming too, though it may not be this year. |
Mynd44:Anyway let me agree with you that the law has changed, while I try to find links to that effect. |
Ignorance. Many people don't know that people use power banks in America and Europe where there is virtually uninterrupted power supply. When you're in a public place like attending a seminar, and your battery is low, you simply pull out your bank and connect your phone, without having to look for where to plug it and later forgetting to pick it while leaving. Timi1990:We're saying the same thing. Of course there are charging ports "everywhere", but you may forget that you plugged your phone while leaving. So why not get a personal bank instead rather than losing your phone? |
Mynd44:In law, what is considered most of the time is whether a crime was committed, not whether the crime was huge enough to be considered for punishment, though the degree of punishment differs. If the court finds that there were irregularities, they could pronounce that the runner-up would have won if it hadn't been rigged. The two APC senators from Rivers State were declared elected by the court after more than a year or even two that the election took place. The cases were not pre-election matters. It was not an intra-party issue. PDP senators were told to vacate their offices, and senator Abe Magnus and senator Uchendu were sworn in. And the same can happen in this election, too. |
donstan18:Senseless comment! Some people just type anything they like because they know they have their cotravellers who are going to like their foolish posts. |
Mynd44:No one is saying Atiku outrightly won the election. What Atiku is saying is that there were malpractices that robbed him of votes and outrightly inflated APC's votes. Maybe if those inflation hadn't happened, APC would have been unable to get up to 25% in up to 24 states leading to a fresh re-election between the first place and runner-up (ie Buhari and Atiku, respectively). And for your first point that the court cannot determine the winner of an election. I'm not sure there's any law stipulating that. If there was, two APC Rivers senators would not have been pronounced senators by the court. The court never ordered a re-election; it ruled that they were winners outrightly. So the same thing can happen in this case and heavens would not fall. |
See pettiness. You're saying you serve a living God because your party lost. So if your party had won, what'd you have said? I doubt this man's claim to be a man of God. There are a thousand and one reason to say he's one of these fake pastors. His politics bitterness only compares with Fani Kayode. |
Sarrki the chief Hausa-Fulani worshipper, pls desist from lifting random pictures and attributing something else to it, just to praise northerners. It's very immature and silly. Your hero-worship of Buhari, APC, Hausa people in general, is disgusting and immature. I remember you showing us picture of Buhari using a HTC Android phone and telling us how humble he's as if HTC phones are not some of the most expensive. At another time you brought a picture of a northerner listening to the radio, telling us how very politically knowledgeable Hausa people are. And then this. How old are you again sef? Can you just show your support without all these childish posts and worship of fellow man?! |
otosa:It should be 'tough' not 'taught'. You're only assuming. If Buhari made no promises or commitments, what can we use to hold him down? How can we measure his performance or lack thereof? |
Lalasticlala help our ministry here, so we can hear from NextLevelers what Buhari has up his sleeves. |
netpro:These three things you mentioned here were also mentioned by all the candidates. These are fundamental priorities for any country. The question is "What are the specific promises he told the electorate whilst campaigning?" If it's on PDF, pls do us a favour by sending it here. |
26carat:Very bad. Our président is just too analogue. |
Donmedra:Interesting. It's now clearer that Buhari wasn't the brain behind the 2015 policy document that his party was busy brandishing up and down. That was the reason he has been denying many of the promises contained therein. I suppose he may have told them not to write anyone for him this time around. ![]() |
Where are our Nairaland Next Level supporters? How can I lay my hands on Buhari's plan for the coming 4 years so that we can know what to expect from him? |
I downloaded Atiku's policy document, went through it and was very impressed by what he had to offer, leading to my support for him. Aside this, I have also heard Atiku say a few other things through interviews. I have yet to come across Buhari's own or even seen any campaign poster mentioning what he intends to do differently. Does Buhari have a new agenda or he's still sticking to his previous policy document and agenda (which I also remember reading back in 2014)? |
SouthEastFacts:There's no treachery here. How can you use the opinion of 4 or 5 Nairalanders to judge a whole tribe? I have seen countless Yoruba monikers here in recent days speaking out for Atiku, so shelve this your hate and childish rants. |
I've always known that Trump is a conman. But his achievements in office so far are extraordinary. I do not believe that Trump wasn't contesting to win; it really is unbelievable. |
