JJYOU: bro david stop saying things like this. you mean you didnt see any being forced at gun point into these banks. one of my freind told me one day if he reincarnated he would like to come as a woman. when i asked why his answer was that these girls get the equivalent of his salary as gifts right left and center. he is by the way a senior regional banker. if will copy this thing to him. he will just laugh my brother, a lot of us have become so americanised that we have time to cry about "exploitation". Na because of this chics a lot of guys get posted outside major towns because the "oga's" have already enjoyed free "back for ground" from the chics seeking plum positions to elite banks. |

Kweenisha: I can bet you there are girls out there who have done the exact same thing to get jobs at NEPA and water works sef. Should women be banned from the workforce or should there be laws in place to protect them from exploitation? You've been in America for so long . . . things have changed since then. Those girls arent complaining, no one is exploiting them. they willfuly chose to put themselves in that situation. |
NYSC › Re: Should Female Corpers Be Banned From Serving In Banks? by DavidDylan(m): 2:39am On Dec 06, 2008 |
lawyer: To the best of my knowledge, i don't know any chick that has slept with anybody to get a job in Nepa as a corper, so forgive my ignorance there. Secondly, what is your defination of exploitation when a chick does everything possible to use her female attributes to sleep her way to get a job in a bank for financial security? Nobody is advocating that what men do to sleep with women to get favours is a good thing that should be encouraged but c'mon there are alot of decent and respectable chicks out there that have achieved greatness and success through their academic intelligence and innate skills. Unfortunately, that % is few and the rest would do anything possible to sleep their way through to Aso Rock.
Corper females are the easiest bait and these same females know that by using their feminine power, they can scale through anything. Just walk into any NYSC camp and interview 90% of the girls there and ask where they would likely prefer to work during their service year. Female lawyers, doctors, engineers, artists, dramatist and a host of others would tell you what i am saying. Also conduct a one on one girl to girl talk and ask them if they don't get the job through their intelligence but can get it through seduction or sex, if they would still take the bank job. The answer would not come as a shocker to you.
In fact, if you compare the salaries female corpers get in banks, you wouldnt see any marginal difference in their replies. Before the recapitalization of banks and before the mouth watering perks of the new generation banks, female corpers loathed the idea of working in a bank because they were old school and didnt give them the oportunity to flex their assets. The trend was to sleep their way through oil companies or big companies, now banks are the in thing and an added advantage is the opportunity to market and get to know more big men or guys to make their target.
It has nothing to do with exploitation, but the mindset of girls (especially female corpers) to eat their cake and have it no matter the cost!
If that's not corporate prostitution, then i don't know what that means anymore! thank you. I also served some 3 yrs ago and it was the same thing. The girls arent complaining to be honest . . . Go to the NYSC secretariat after the postings and see girls scrambling to get reposting letters to banks. no one forced them. |
NYSC › Re: Should Female Corpers Be Banned From Serving In Banks? by DavidDylan(m): 12:00am On Dec 06, 2008 |
Kweenisha: He should go after them then or ask the females to report exploitations. Isn't that a better policy? Nigeria is not the USA. How does mr chairman go after the banks? Private banks for that matter. 1. Are the females willing to report exploitation? All because of N7,500? 2. Report to who anyway? The police? |

My advice for those who are abroad . . . arm yourself with as much degrees and work experience that will stand you way above your peers in Nigeria. While doing that pls and pls look for business connections in Nigeria. Its a waste of time thinking you can live on your foreign salary alone.
After a few yrs get a good job possibly in a foreign company in Nigeria . . . there are many and go back home to live in peace. I dont fancy spending 30yrs paying mortgage on a home that wont ever be mine. |

Have you sought information as to how it can or will save anyone before passing judgment? Debo i beg to disagree with you . . . it is another senseless christian jamboree that has no eternal value for the millions who are going PRIMARILY for the entertainment value. Its sad that emotional frenzy has replaced genuine conviction in the church today. No wonder even the websites refers to the music "ministers" who would be "performing" as ARTISTES.How the church has slowly become the den of merchants. |

Kweenisha: The number of tribal marks thread on nairaland is becoming alarming. @ poster, learn to accept yourself. It was the ignorance of your family members but it's not the end of the world. Look at the singer Seal who I think is sexy,he has 2 horrible scars on both cheeks but he didn't let it stop him. Those who love you will love you and those who don't won't. Why worry about what you may not be able to change?
I don';t have tribal marks but I'm sure there are people who view me differently because I'm a black woman. There's nothing you cannot achieve, irrespective of the marks. Hold your head up high and aim for greatness.Don't let the marks on your face, the color of your skin, your accent or your height, weight define you. Get a good education and strive to excel in your field and gain mastery and respect in your little area. You don't have to hide. There's a whole big world out there, don't let time pass you by. Queen all this one na story. 1. Seal is a multimillionaire singer, if he were just a poor naija fellow Heidi Klum would never have married him. 2. I can understand Funky's situation . . . very few men (especially based abroad) would be willing to risk being seen with a woman with tribal marks for wife, again especially depending on the kind of men Funky is interested in. 3. Funky, try out plastic surgery as a last resort. |

Carlosein: david, i find the above rather amusing.
one question: is it possible for anything not expressly written in the bible to be correct? your "question" is based on the fact that your own false faith is largely dependent on extra-biblical heresy. The Berean christians searched where to determine whether Paul's doctrines where true? You guessed it - the scriptures! |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Reality Of Hell by DavidDylan(m): 9:42pm On Dec 05, 2008 |
Bastage: @DavidDylan. Come on, you're reaching. Richard Smalley a devout Christian? Yeah. For the last year of his life. Walter Kohn is totally at odds with his Catholic faith and the Vatican on the issue of birth control (a pretty big one, you'd have to agree). He's way more of a theist than a "devout Christian". Pascal? 400 years ago. I'm not even going to bother with that one. Suffice to say he wasn't a "devout Christian" but a "heretical" Jansenist. Do I really need to go through the other couple of names that you've given? And come on. If Christianity is the be-all and end-all like you state that it is, you should be able to come up with the names of thousands of these "great men" of devoutness.
The fact is, you can't. You're talking crap again. One or two names of people who can easily be shown not to be "devout" Christians makes your argument even less credible. We've seen this game too many times before. Its the desperate need to force the false idea that great thinkers and scientists could not have been christians. We all know that your "argument" false flat on its face. The real FACT is that i provided evidence to back up my claim while you just go around weeping and calling such evidence that puts you to shame "crap". If indeed one or two names of people shown to be not devout christians makes my argument less credible then the way longer list of those who are indeed known to be devout christians puts your argument to shame Richard Smalley was a christian the last yr of his life and so what? That is even more astounding that a man with so much knowledge could still at the end realise that without God he was nothing but a candidate of hell. What has Walter Kohn's belief on birth control to do with his christian faith? Does the bible tell us anything about birth control? So because i am at odds with my pastor as to who whether men should sag their jeans automatically nullifies my faith? Blaise Pascal . . . 400 yrs ago and so what? My guy your idiocy is shocking. As for Chris . . . i no fit shout. That guy has no capacity to reason beyond spewing the same old tired nonsense. |
