You can not be in a relationship with someone that do not appreciate YOU!!

Quitting a marriage because a man wont make his bed in the morning?  grin How many divorces are you thinking of having?

tope2000:
Why do most men change after marriage undecided huh
Kai marriage scares me everyday lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
Everyone "changes" after marriage.

Truth is its not "change" as such but once you're married your partner doesnt feel any particular pressure to pls you anymore. Its up to you both to make compromises and adjust.

there's a way around it. Ask your woman to do minibraids. I find it far more appealing than western hair.

White women's hair is fun initially, you'll have problems when hair strands start appearing everywhere . . . since u're not used to it. Can be annoying.

Chrisbenogor:
Simple question david, did the authors of those books state who they were?
Or were the authors infered?
I was waiting for this very question. Its a sad commentary on the double standard by which athiests try to force inconsistencies into the bible.

By this very same standard it can be claimed that thousands of ancient documents, whose authorships are surprisingly NEVER QUESTIONED, are also suspect and thus unreliable.

Chrisbenogor:
Lets focus again david leave falsehood aside, all the evidence you have that it was mark is from Eusebio if there are any please show us.
Repeating that they are well known is not true and that is the real falsehood that abounds in the church.
No Eusebius quoted Papias . . . a more reliable source.

You have presented no evidence at all of your position. Bone-headed denial is not going to sway this argument. Best to start doing a lot better than just blabbering about document Q. If you dont have any evidence then it would be better if you dont continue forcing an issue you dont have any understanding about . . . as has been ur stock-in-trade for so long.

thanks everyone. Ogidiboy, u can shoot me an email if u do find those folks.

I was searching for a dentist desperately last night but miraculously the pain vanished. At least i was able to have something close to dinner last night.
u probably should get it removed. . . i had to get mine removed because it was growing crooked and pushing on d rest of my teeth. . . pain got so bad and d bloody thing hadnt grown out properly, the dentist broke a few bones to get to it
shocked shocked There's no pain today so i might adopt a wait and see approach. I dont like having a few bones broken.

Anyone else having issues with a wisdom tooth or two? There's one on the left side of my lower jaw that causes excruciating pain every once in a while. I'm wondering if i shld have it removed. Its partially poking out of the gum though.

What do you think?

Christianity Etc › Re: The Truth About Christ Embassy Healing School by DavidDylan(m): 11:55pm On Nov 26, 2008
donnie:
I read in one of you posts where u admitted that even though you have recieved the Holy Spirit (which we will need more than just words to prove) you do not speak with tongues. That answered my supicions.
To each and every christian is given a measure of grace. Perhaps mine does not involve speaking in tongues, i am not ashamed to say so. More than half of those who claim to "speak in tongues" (i knew quite a lot from our campus branch of ur church) do not understand it and dont live a life that is worthy of such a claim.

Did you read what apostle Paul had to say about speaking in tongues? Well he said it was pretty much gibberish unless you could interprete it to the edification of the church.

sorry, i am not one of those who glory in "gifts".

donnie:
Since then, i decided not to join in such arguements with you (especially as pertains to miracles and the power of the Spirit).
Because, if you do not believe in the importance of Speaking in tongues, enough to partake of the gift, how can you appreciate the greater demonstrations of the spirit.
We've heard this babble before. Lazarus the beggar, the thief on the cross . . . how much "demonstrations of the spirit" did they do? Where are they today?

donnie:
Were you not the one that argued in some place that we as Christians cannot claim to have eternal life or the life and nature of God while on earth?
Perhaps you shld go back and quote me properly. This makes no sense even to me.

donnie:
Unfortunately for you, truths such as these are not learnt in schools, they are recieved by revelation of the spirit through the agency of God's word.
these are all big but empty words. Dont waste too much time dealing with "revelations of the spirit" when your very words and deeds are contrary to the bible that an illiterate can read.

donnie:
So you can go ahead and speak to the wind, I dey go sleep.
. . . tomorrow they'll be here pontificating about "love".
Christianity Etc › Re: The Truth About Christ Embassy Healing School by DavidDylan(m): 11:24pm On Nov 26, 2008
donnie:
My dear, all such comparison is childish and not helpful. My advice: STICK TO THE WORD
You havent done so yourself. All you and your colleagues have done is stick to your pastor and church using the word as a wool over the eyes of the unsuspecting.
Christianity Etc › Re: The Truth About Christ Embassy Healing School by DavidDylan(m): 11:23pm On Nov 26, 2008
donnie:
My friend, is it the same bible i read from that you are reading?
that is the question your write-up has provoked in my spirit. I'm not sure we are talking about the same Jesus, I know a God of wonders who is also a God of order.
Your "Jesus" sounds to me like a magician the way you invoke Him.

Christianity Etc › Re: Roman Catholic Is Not A Church, But A Modernised Way Of Idolatry? by DavidDylan(m): 10:32pm On Nov 26, 2008
Chrisbenogor:
So you are assuming then, no one reading this should take you seriously.
I see no reason why you are being overtly on the defensive, all we are trying to do is to lay the facts down as we best know them, there is no need to bring up all these many kini you are saying.
You dont have any "facts" to back up your claims. Your aim has been to muddy the waters by bringing up irrelevant stuff like document Q.

Chrisbenogor:
That the authors are unknown is the issue here not whether what they wrote should be believed, david lets focus.
the authors are known. You cant make a falsehood true by repeating it forever.
Christianity Etc › Re: Roman Catholic Is Not A Church, But A Modernised Way Of Idolatry? by DavidDylan(m): 9:29pm On Nov 26, 2008
Chrisbenogor:
Before I go on I think its important we iron out some things,
Are you saying that only if I agree to your own assertions would I be searching for knowledge?
that has not been my point at all and never will be. I dont always agree with certain posters but i know when to admit they are more knowledgeable than me in certain situations.

Agreeing with me is not the same as "searching for knowledge". you can disagree with me and yet still search for knowledge. But when you cling desperately to just about every drowning straw all in a bid to delegitimise the bible then i know you're not one to be taken seriously.

Chrisbenogor:
And let me set your mindset about my mindset straight, simply put I am skeptical as most people will be if they found the real deal about these books.
1. That you are a skeptic is not in doubt.

2. Your "real deal about these books" turns out to be a lot of fluff you yourself dont understand. You seem to just skim through the internet looking for anything to say "oh the bible cant be believed". when they get torn apart you start huffing and puffing.

Chrisbenogor:
Like I said earlier don't you think asking and clarifying from me is a lot better than assuming?
In your case its better to assume. More often than not its the truth even though you deny it.

Chrisbenogor:
I ask you once again if someone does not agree with you does that mean they are wrong and not really seeking the truth?
No. A person seeking the truth is easy to decipher. you're not one.

Chrisbenogor:
Are you the custodian of all knowledge?
How does that relate to anything? undecided
