I need a job please. I'm a mechanical engineering graduate and resides in Port harcourt. I don't mind not getting paid, all I need is experience. I will be of great help to you as I have a little experience in hydrostatic pressure testing and installations, also a little experience in valve servicing and, calibration of pressure instruments. All this I learnt during my student industrial work experience. I just need a place to build up my years of experience. I will appreciate whatever help I can get to me busy.

This scripture comes to mind: O' Death, where is thy sting. I know she's watching over you and the family and would want to tell you she's in a great place. Take heart, dearie.

Billion24:
thanks for the response. ok lets say i have like 500k and i need a quick return on investment, how do i go about these things. i know next to nothing about finance and investment. do i go to the bank, or financial organizations or necessarily get the service of a broker. if i wanna go about it on my own, what and what should i do.

Before you invest, do some research on investments as it is your money.
We have:
•Treasury Bills
•Bonds
•Stocks

•Stocks are good for the long term as they tend to yield higher returns than the rest. To get started, you need to have a stock account. Most stockbroking firm have online platforms: www.meritrade.com, www.gti.com.ng, MyTradebook etc.

•T-bills and Bonds are debts issued by Governments and Corporate Organisation respectively that have a fixed coupon rate (interest). T-bills is less than 1 year while bonds are more than a year. Most banks do T-bills while Investment firm do Bonds.

Do your research before investing! Cheers.

chimchris247:
Which penny stocks can one start with this new year......

Transcorp, Afriprud. My opinion

Billion24:
Pls nairalanders i need somebody who can give me an understandable explanation on equity and bonds. As an engineer i find those financial terms hard to understand. Checked wikipidia didn't really help much. wanna be an astute investor.

Ask your questions. For starters: Bonds are fixed income instruments; guaranteed investments while Equities are stocks/shares, very risky with also high returns.

The bot like it's name suggests is just a robot. I believe it came to replace Pyguru. It identifies spam posts, deletes them and bans the poster. Since it's just a robot and not God, it makes a lot of mistakes. A lot of them.

Nice one Laykorn.

But the anti-spam bot identifies spam posts marked by the moderator. It works with all the marked posts, and as such, some innocent posters using one of the marked words would be banned accidentally.

That's why it's good to Mail the Mods for correction!
