There were only 2 VO’s.. One middle age white lady in her early 40’s who was dishing out pink paper after much drilling., and an old man in his early 60’s who was very slow, he denied the two ppl in front of us, the first one a man, and next a lady and her two teenage daughters.

My Wife was with all the documents because she’s the F1, while I was carrying our 6 months old daughter, and standing besides her.

VO: Good morning

Spouse: Good morning

VO: Pass me the passports and I-20 forms

Spouse: Here you go

VO: (He looks at it confused because my passport and I-20 was first)

Spouse: (Cuts in) I am the primary applicant

VO: Oh your passport should come first

Spouse: I’m sorry, that was a mistake

VO: That’s fine (typed for 45 secs)

VO: When did you get your first degree ?(Typing)

Spouse: 2014

VO: What have you been doing since then ?

Spouse: I have been working

VO: what do you do?

Spouse: I am a legal practitioner

VO: Why Intl peace and conflict resolution?

Spouse: IPCR will give me the qualifications that I need to take up a job with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and also, in the long run it will give me the requisite skills and knowledge that I need to begin my own NGO focusing on Intl peace and conflict resolution particularly in the middle belt.

VO: Did you apply to other schools ?

Spouse: I applied to two other schools, Umass and Columbia University

VO: Did you get admit from any

Spouse: Yes, from UMASS Boston, but it was a conditional admit, I will have to go through an ISSP program for 9 months before I proceed to masters program and the fees was very high, so I decided to settle for Arcadia University

VO: Who is sponsoring you?

Spouse: it is co sponsored by my husband and I (Spouse points at me, and I looked straight in his (VO) eyes and nod my head)

VO: (Looks at me) What do you do?

Me: I am the Chief Executive of xyz.. we are into logistics, sales and supplies of steel rod for building and construction works

VO: Can I have the SOA

Spouse: Here you go

VO: This is 3 statements of accounts

Spouse: Yes, one is our joint account, the other is his personal account and the last is his company account

VO: (looks at the SOA very very well and put it besides him and asked me) How many workers do you have ?

Me: Logistic section 16, rod section 8, total 24.

VO: so if you travel to the US now what will happen to your business??

Me: I don’t plan on staying with them all through her program, I am going with them now to spend a month to make sure they are settled in and make an arrangement with a baby sitter that will care for our daughter while she is busy with school

VO: (nod his head like, impressed, then looks at my wife) Three years ago you were both denied a visa in Lagos (Typing)

Spouse: Yes but that was a visit visa

VO: Oh this is a student visa (nod his head) do you live in Lagos?

Spouse: No, we live in PH

VO: Do you have another child?

Spouse: No

VO: (removes our I-20 forms from our passports and gave them to my wife) Keep these forms you will need them at the POE.

Spouse: (took them from him) okay thank you

VO: (picks up our SOA and told us) If these statements are fraudulent or forged you risk being banned for life, should I proceed with the application?

Spouse: Yes

VO: hands her a white paper and said I have given you a conditional approval, I said conditional because I need to verify the authenticity of these account statements.

Spouse: Okay thank you..

No other document was requested and the interview lasted just 4-5 minutes

We were placed on AP for 8 business days, and finally when I tracked it on Tuesday July 9th it showed “Issued”

***Submit your case/petition to God with earnest prayers, because if God be for you nothing can stop you. He said behold I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it. You need to personalise the prayers and imagine what you want to happen on that day of the interview and begin to affirm it and declare it to God. He is the creator and the VO’s are His creation, He will turn their minds around for you and they have no other choice but to favour you. Finally, fill your ds-160 form very very well, take much time to go through it and make sure there is no error, I spent 11 days going over our ds-160 form s and making corrections anywhere I feel something isn’t right, and I submitted 4 days prior to the interview.

Apart from the fact that the school is one of top and largest Hbcu in the country. They have two research center that are key to cybersecurity. Center of identity science and center of cyberdefense that has a 20 year partnership with the NSA.
Vo: How do you want to fight cybercrime?
I'd be learning about advanced encryption, handshake protocols that is used in whatsapp and other messaging apps etc to protect information.
Vo: Why HBCU? (Wasn't expecting this question)
I liked what the school had to offer and I'd feel at home, lol

Vo : I'd be keeping the bank statement to confirm validity, if it's false, you will be banned. I looked at him and smiled

Hello everyone! Please I am new here, my visa previously denied in January, but I have another visa interview on the 30th of this month. I have two concerns
1. The last time I was in the US, due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to stay for 5 months which was one of the queries I got last time from the VO
2. My school is Washington Adventist University, Maryland. Anyone has an idea if this is a good school?

USA has been rated the best destination for higher education by who exactly? Exalting US above other nations will not get you a visa my friend
The findings are not based on just the popularity among students but also on the quality and wide range of educational programs.
Please what do you mean by this?

Who told you this, is your source credible?
would also like to be taught by world class professors.
We have such professors in Germany, Australia and even Ghana! Why not go there?
Studying in us will not only boost my knowledge but will give me competitive edge on my return to Nigeria.

Please get a powerful third reason. Since you don't have funding, you really have to wow the VO, so puhleeze wow away
Your study plan is incomplete please, I hope you know this question is similar to "tell me about your program".
Talk about the duration, is it 56 months or 2 days, talk about the credit hours for core courses, elective courses and thesis, talk about the GPA required for graduation, would you be required to present seminars, participate in lab rotations, then you can mention some of the courses you look forward to taking until the VO begs you to keep quiet for goodness sake

Accounting is about reporting on financial statement and in the business world we have to be able to do more than just report on numbers, we have to be able to turn financial data into actionable insights to make recommendations to mgt for key decisions. There is a talent gap between identifying key data trends, technological acumen, data mining and extraction with statistical modeling 
At the end of the day, you neither answered the questions nor convinced me (not as if I'm a VO) about the need for the switch. Infact you succeeded in intimidating me with technical terms from your field, terms I struggled to comprehend because I am STEM inclined
Please this is a very important question and you need a sound response. How does accounting relate to business analytics, or why have you chosen to pursue this degree instead of Accounting. Be specifically clear about the connection and don't tell stories please.
The exam is in 3stages and it was very tedious to combine with work. I am on my last stage now.
My mind wandered as I read this
Is this a way of saying you currently don't have a job? Is this probably a way of saying you find exams stressful? Is this a way of suggesting you probably can't cope with the rigours and academic demands of a grad school
I pray you understand my point. Never leave loopholes in your response! Tie every loose end please

I really want to work as a management consultant at a top consulting firm here in Nigeria. Unfortunately, a masters degree is the minimum requirement for such a position. This degree will qualify me for this position when I return.
I would have commented on this but we both know why I won't. I really believe you can do better, honestly. Ok I can't ignore this. So how about you mention a couple of firms you've specifically got your eyes on and an appetizer of what you intend bring to the table with this degree. That way it really sounds like a post graduation plan. Girl you need to own this response, make it yours, breathe it all in and exhale in front of the VO

House, please i made mistake when booking for another appointment, i chose regular and it gave me July 11 at lagos. I was previously refused in june...please what can i do.. ?? I didn't realize until i told someone who wondered how i got another date so fast the we checked my appointment details and its regular that is there... I have already booked it. Please nairalanders I need help...I initially went with a statement of account from a micro finance bank and was denied becos the VO said the bank is not familiar...Nkwni have this statement of account from first bank with an account balance of 153k only in naira
But the cash flow there is very high about 28 million...is this a red flag for the VO
