These citizen diplomats- emerging leaders drawn from the organized private sector, civil society, government, politics and academia, are brought into the United States to share ideas and knowledge, to develop capacity while increasing mutual understanding and cooperation between peoples and institutions of both countries.

The GLOBAL TIES/BIMODULAR CDKE Program calls for participants for her international capacity building program for real estate professionals with the theme:
Real Estate Development & Infrastructure Financing For Africa’s Largest Economy:
Engaging with Major US Real Estate Stakeholders & Financiers.

This event is scheduled for Dallas Fortwort, Texas from 13th - 19th December, 2015.

The purpose of the program is to exchange knowledge about the real estate development, management, and financing markets and build partnerships between U.S. and Nigerian professionals in the industry. Through such exchange, Nigerian professionals will be able to share their best practices and challenges with their American counterparts, while the Americans will likewise be able to discuss and share trends in the U.S. market, all leading to possible future collaboration between Nigerians and Americans.

The overall program will consist of a series of professional & cultural activities carefully designed and integrated with each other, to ensure maximum exposure to the program topic and American culture and society as planned by Global Ties.

• To discuss the Nigerian real estate investment and property management markets and engage with potential business partners, funders, and consumers in the United States;

• To discuss and develop partnership between U.S. and Nigerian real estate developers, managers, financiers, and other stakeholders so as to increase mutual collaboration in the future; and,

• To help promote citizen diplomacy and increase mutual understanding and collaboration among the United States and Nigeria, resulting in a more peaceful and prosperous world.

.... Hi folks...i got a 4yrs multiple visa to canada last july. But i havent used it since i got my passport a day to wen i needed to be in toronto. So i didnt go. I just figured since its 4yrs multiple, other more opportune times will come for me to travel.

I am going to be in the US next month..throughout, so i just figured on my way bak, i will just pik a flight to toronto, spend a week, then come bak to lagos.

This Yul Edochie is a fool or he thinks we are fools.
So this gay guy gets his number, and starts calling him. Yul blocks 20 of his different lines. Now, do you knw what it means for you to decide to block someone's line? Maybe the person is calling u like 20 or 30times a day, then you block such a number. So for Yul to block 20 of his lines shows just how desperate the guy must have been.

By the way, why couldn't he even change his number? Fine, some people do not like changing their numbers, so after blocking the 2oth line, the gay guy changes tact and says he wants to do something for Yul's family. Why shd Yul even be listening to the gay guy at this point? Gay guy says He wants to procure visas for the Edochie's. Rubbish. So after blocking 20lines, Yul still stays long enough on his call long for the guy to make the visa proposal.

Well, no problem, only problem was- Yul fell for it. Visa? Visa that you cannot even use to deceive a small unilag girl, ensnared Yul? So someone staying Canada can do Canadian visa for a Nigerian living in Nigeria? Yul is so desperate for his family to go to Canada that it is a stalker there that would procure visas for him.

Well, Yul tells his wife. So someone stalking you over a period of time makes an offer of candian visa and you even discuss it with your wife. And your wife consented? That your wife can even kill you. Then you now gave a man, a total stranger, a stalker for that matter, your wife�s number? A man you don't know, whose lifestyle you do not approve of. So they (gay and wife) will keep in touch all through the visa acquisistion period? Visa acquisition where? At VFS in Oregun or Canadian High in Victoria Island? Or canda?

And you, Yul are not interested in a canadian visa but your wife sends your (Yul's) documents to him,gay guy, why? It should be Mrs Yul�s documents that shd be all over the internet not yours. I hav a return ticket for Lagos-Frankfurt-New York end of this month. I suddenly remembered i want to make a stop in Toronto, on the return leg since i hv a valid canadian visa.

I stumbled on a post here about low turnout for the Benue pdp rally in Gboko and couldnt believe what i was reading.

This report by dailypost is blatant falsehood and no serious person should take this paper serious.

For the records, this was the most attended pdp flagoff ever in Benue and this is the 5th flagoff. Governor Suswam was in attendance, Senator mark was in attendance, Jonah Jang the plateau pdp governor was in attendance, yussuf agabi(nassarawa pdp guber flagbearer was in attendance, so was the Niger state governor, Babangida Aliyu ably represented by Aminu Isah Kontagora, himself a former governor of benue state. Gyang Pwajok,the Plateau pdp guber standard bearer was there and so were many cabinet ministers including the minister of interior, Abba moro.

The PDP guber candidate Rt Hon Prince Terhemen Tarzoor, a former speaker of the Benue state House Of Assembly led the charge

Suswam was never booed. He was hailed and his speech erupted in wild applause because he told the crowd made up of mostly youths what they wanted to hear- that he became governor at 43 and promised himself he was never going to hand over to any one older than him. That is why he is in turn handing over to a 42year old. Because he was doing this, there was hope many in the crowd that they can also become governor one day because Tarzoor, himself born in the 70's would in turn hand over to someone born in the 80's.

The crowd was ecstatic. No one mentioned salaries, so one abused the governor or Tarzoor, himself a popular figure in Gboko.there are video clips too of when the governor was speaking.

APc sympathetic media are doing their party more harm than good by giving their supporters fake reports and fake hopes, making them think they have plenty of groundswell support and that pdp is unpopular when the contrary is the case. When they lose elections, they are now so surprised and angry they resort to violence.

I am recently married..if one year six months is recent. I dated my wife for a few years before marrying her, last year. She is not born again per se, but very churchy and religious. She always says that they (who ever they are, I don't know) have always told her that she has a calling for God....fine

She likes going to church and always likes pastors 'wey dey see road' meaning pastors who often prophesy...prophets and the like.

Now that we haven't had a child yet, she often goes to church- quite a few different churches if i might add or sees different pastors often on the recommendation of family members or friends...and all of them keep giving her prophecies, bulk of which are not good.

"Its someone in your husband's family, thats responsible, its your husband's step mother, (whom she has never met). Now only recently, by yet another pastor: "its one girl ur husband dated and didnt marry that is the cause of ur predicament...."

"Your first issue going to be a boy but that scorned girl has bewitched you and locked your womb, and untll you and your husband come for deliverance, you can't conceive.

And to the best of my knowledge there is no girl i promised marriage up to that serious level that i disappointed...yet she says two different pastors have said the same thing.

I feel all these are works of charlatans and I tell her if i was to consult prophets too...they will tell me its her own mother, her uncle or her family member that is the cause.

I feel if she keeps listening to all these so called pastors, they will develop a siege mentality in her that will make her start looking at everyone around us with suspicion.

The same pastor that told her about me disappointing a girl also said there's some one in our compound that doesnt like her(my wife) and she should start being careful how or where she (my wife) spreads her clothes...A compound of few people and 6 flats..3flats of which are empty at the moment with only 7 other grown ups, 3 other wives inclusive.

We have a problem with one of the families just a lady with a bad character, but who cant and wont go to any diabolical route to do us bad...I told my wife that so because of what that pastor told her now, she will start thinking this woman wants to harm her?

That's the sort of siege mentality these prophesies can engender in her.

So question now is- how should i handle this? Should I stop her from seeing these pastors? Or stop her from going to church? Since i always encourage her to go though am not the church type myself...Or go for deliverance to one of these her 'obviously' fake pastors or pastors with inaccurate prophecies.
