BusinessKuda Bank Scam Alert by davit(op): 2:26pm On Oct 06, 2021
I happened to have an account with Kuda Microfinance bank after all their adverts.

So last week I logged out of my account. The moment I tried logging again, it seems my account has been locked. All efforts to get it back proved abortive.
I ve sent mails to their email several times with no result. At some point their customer care line was not connecting. After about 2 days, I was able to reach them via phone only for them to keep asking me same questions each time my call went through.

Till now, I have no positive response from them. I have every reason to believe that Kuda is another fraud/scam loading. Forget about the adverts and what have you. Their customer service too sucks.

Guys out there, abeg avoid anything Kuda MFB.

Mod needs to push this to front page for those who may fall into their scam.

Car TalkRe: About Tinted Permits And Police Harrasment by davit: 7:14pm On Oct 04, 2021
Exactly. Only Naija tints are the target of NPF. But some over zealous officers too can try to harass you. Just stand your ground. No tint permit for factory tint again. Just drive your car without fear.
sucessdriven:
Thanks. I just learnt factory-fitted tints are exempted from permits because you can still see through those. Police target are those after market ones that are completely dark and you cant see anything inside.

Just reminded me of how I japa from Lagos Island hospital yesterday night. grin shocked
BAZ001:
Hospital pickup very dangerous, I dread and avoid it like plaque.
last time I picked a lady from hospital, I prayed till I drop her. Though her sister was seating in front with me.
She kept complaining of pains, from seating, to sleeping, then put her legs on chair, later put off your A/c pls, to reduce your speed.
She’s not so well but they had to discharge her cause doctors are on strike

Since then I dont do hospital again, wether you are a patient or worker.

So I had this rider today who doesn't speak English. She speaks dialectal French. Someone helped her book the trip from Ogba to Island. The journey was so hilarious. On so many occasions she would want to react to something on the road, but she would be talking like deaf person. Na so I dey respond too. On getting to Island, she was actually expecting a guy to pick her. In short, we had to start moving Broad Street to Marina several times before I was able to drop her. As at this time, she was trying to communicate but no way
I did Google translate for her on my phone, it was then I realised she can't speak native French. She is likely from Togo or Senegal. Menh, Wetin the eyes of ehailing drivers dey see no be small.

Propaganda
IFEBARBIE:
I've been thinking about the impending "Taliban" take over of Lagos and how we're unconsciously aiding it.

So, I picked an army major going to Bonny camp this morning. We got to ojota and saw those boys that rob people lurking around. He said "do I know who these are?" Yes I replied, "do you know we made them stronger?" How sir. "Good question, your influencers protested against sars and police brutality, right? While they were doing it they didn't carry the Hoodlums along and they misinterpreted it to mean end Police and they went round, led by hired mercineries and real armed robbers to burn and cart away semi automatic asualt rifles, you people hailed them" I'm not part of them o, I interjected, "let me finish, I saw online where you people were jubilating when a police officer is killed or their facilities razed. After the protest, the influencers went silent on the mess they created, some even left the country. The east declared war on security personnel, I lost colleagues" oh sorry sir, " you people should brace up for what you have caused. Lagos island that was rid of Keke and okada have now returned with full force. I pity you people that have no where to run to when the country implodes eventually, because it has become all man for himself" but sir, what's the way out?

"Good question. Choose between the evil and the lesser evil. The security agencies or the hoodlums. Don't patronize okadas or govt should mount CCTV to capture passengers faces patronizing them for arrest in their homes. Condemn hoodlum online and on air, change the narrative against them, close down 99.3fm for always being on the side of the evil. Police should form a team similar to sars to kill and take the battle to the Hoodlums. And finally, protect yourself.

Hmmmm, I've been pondering on it....

Bolt na scam. O. The other day I had an accident on a trip, and I didn't bother involving them.
childofgrace2k:
I'm finally back on the roads again hustling after absence for over 3 weeks. I had an accident on third mainland bridge ,thank God for life, nothing happened to the passenger and me. But vehicle was badly damaged, I needed to spend close to 200k on the vehicle ,I.e whole body painting and panel beating. Note that I bought two new headlights and some other body parts of the vehicle.

I was on a trip when the Accident happened so I made a report about the accident to BOLT ,thinking they have some kind of plans for accident issues during trips on their platform.

Bolt made it clear to me that nothing of such exist, that they only take care of reported missing items during trips. They blocked my account immediately and asked me to do another inspection when my Car is ready.

I asked if at least they will give me a free Inspection after I'm done with the body work of my Car, and their answer was that there won't be such, that I will be responsible for payment of the new inspection.

I regretted ever reporting the Accident to them in the first place. My inspection report was still valid for another 3 months ,but I needed to do another one yesterday.

Has anyone ever reported an accident to Bolt/Uber and what was there response?

Not only young ladies are problematic in this line of hustling. The female elderly ones too are something else.

I have been encountering some of them but the one I just dropped now Na wahala personified. She wa Ted to stop everywhere. Ok madam you should have indicated the stops on the app. She was like: that's how I do it.

Some drivers sha.
I was just praying for the trip to quickly end. Unfortunately she didn't know where she was going. Las las I helped find the place. On top of that, she still dey shout at me. I was going to caution her that I no be her personal driver. But just restrained myself considering her age.

Females on Ehailing..., no be small thing
PoliticsRe: Get Vaccinated Or Be Barred From Office, Osun Tells Civil Servants by davit: 12:42pm On Sep 20, 2021
Exactly my thought. Something is fishy about this compulsory vaccination!
malcom1X:
This is an experimental vaccine and have not been fully approved, whoever takes this vaccine is partaking in that experiment.

There is no long term data to prove that this vaccine works (the short term prove it doesn't work) so we don't know what might happen in the next 1 or 2 years to anyone that takes it.

The Vaccine makers are unwilling to accept any responsibility for any adverse events or deaths their products cause. Can Osun state government pay for this liability?

Why are northerners not lining up to take this Vaccine like they do during elections?

Because they don't trust it and they have a reason not to

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by davit:
Mostly Oniru Estate girls. I have this offline guy that I drop there in the evening. You know the estate doesn't allow cab enter once it is 10pm. So it is a good time to see offline to come out mostly farmcity or folixx.
BAZ001:

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by davit: 9:15am On Sep 17, 2021
Most don't. Some have even told me they don't care if I bring pick up to get them to their destination.

Another thing I noticed about these female riders is that when you take them offline especially the ones that flag you down by the road side, they comport themselves. Most time I deliberately don't put on AC and they don't complain, especially at night. Still didn't yesterday night.
pocohantas:
Females do. Even kids would notice and appreciate a neat/fine car. Women might not say anything to avoid being misunderstood, because any small thing, una go say person done dey fall for una.

Gentlelife50:
So bolt is now using style to charge more than 25% commission?
