onila: Confirmed: IvoryCoast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria & Tunisia will be seeded on Tuesday. Is the new ranking now out ![]() |
@Evestar, Now that your team is unpreceedentedly out! What do you think? |
Quite unfortunate and bad that Everstar's Cape Verde lost out! I think its gradually becoming a sure thing that Nigeria will face a north African team since Egypt and Tunisia are not going to be seeded. |
lexyman: It so sad for the Cape Verde team! Hope the Tunisia coach will come back after tendering his resignation letter .So he earlier resigned I was not really aware sha but hope we don't get paired with Tunisia sha... Ethiopia or Cameroun will do! |
Boneda: So this is how the qualifiers are now done in africa. Soon teams dat finished bottom of their group will start looking 4 ineligible players in other teams. Shame on cafTo be sincere man, we can't blame CAF here, same fate befell Togo in the just concluded round making Cameroun to progress. |
modextus: i soo wanted to see those guys at the world cup ehmmm..chai...God forbid bad tin o, if na Naija..... Oh my! my! Nigerians no go forgive Keshi o... abegiii make Naija be warned o |
onila: whats ineligible player?the player is yet to finish the 4-match ban he was serving... i guess the blame is on the technical crew of the team... ![]() |

Quite unfortunate and sad Cape Verde is out See here: https://www.nairaland.com/1436505/tunisia-replace-cape-verde-world#18071676 |
The Cape Verde Islands have lost their place in the last round of African World Cup qualifiers after fielding an ineligible player, FIFA said on Thursday. |
The number of teams from continent i guess is zoned based on continental successes over the years in the world cup. Although i am not so sure, but i think if an African nation can win the world cup, the slots for Africa will increase. |
achimotan: Trust me we might not be in good shape at the moment but if God willing we qualify for Brazil, we would not disgrace ourselves.Very sure man! Not even yourself but Africa at large. Thats why i want the likes of Nigeria, Cote D'Ivoire and Ghana in Brazil. |
achimotan: And from your post i presumed you watched the match. Which 2 penalties are you talking about?FYI there was only one penalty goal in that match even though we won 2-0In as much i want Ghana to be in Brazil next year and i don't have form of bitterness or hatred for our Ghanian brothers & sisters, i will not shy away from the #fact that is conspicuous to us all that Ghana's football has dropped in recent time. Particularly in the 2013 AFCON, Ghana was a shadow of herself and only struggled to get to where they were shown the exit door by the Etalons. |
Evestar200: am a nigeria,,if they is anything other Africa country i will like to support and see in the world cup, that will be cape verde cuz they have prove to other countries that have come to be among the power house football nation in africa,,this is a country that register their federation into FIFA in 2011 and they have done what other countries who have register since 60,40 and 30yrs ago cant do,,so want Cape verde and Cameroun tie cuz Cape verde knws How to handle CamerounAnalysis on point! The Blue Sharks are dangerous in play but my major concern is that they don't have that ego or perhaps that name that can pound teams in the World Cup. What i am insinuating here is that we need to efficiently utilize the African spots for the Brazil mundial. However, i wish the best team go through if they are eventually paired. |
Its quite unfortunate these ones are doing the right thing in the wrong way. |
franxalive: true talk man...'cos mido is yet to cum to dt mind set dat our current REDHOT EAGLES fears no foe...even if dem play us 22+pharoh against our 11...we'll still douce dem flames!#Gbam! ![]() |
Sybellah: lol man, too bad i aint exaggerating, it is that badaww... never knew this tho... did CIV change their coaching crew? or are you judging from their unpreceedented exit in the quarter-finals of the 2013 AFCON? Because from what i know, CIV had a clean and nice performances during this WCQ. |
Sybellah: err...abeg dun count CIV too fastLols, notwithstanding Sybellah, i still believe CIV is a football power house in Africa. I just hope they get better coz African representatives in Brazil next year without Cote d'Ivoire are not complete. Same thing goes to Ghana and Nigeria. |
sagytarius™:.How did you reach your conclusion friend? Do you know a State commissioner of police does not have the power to dismiss any officer? Such power can only be utilised by the IG. |
