The logo and mascot for the 2013 NUGA games have now been unveiled.

After the long wait for the real date for the commencement of the 24th edition of the Nigerian University Games (NUGA), the vice chancellor of the host university, Prof. Bamitale Omole said in a press conference with newsmen at the ceremony held to unveil the logo and mascot of the games that the games will now come up starting from October 2, 2013.

He added at the Obafemi Awolowo University guest house in Lagos that the school is well equipped and necessary infrastructures are already in place to ensure the successful hosting of the games. He also appreciated the government and private bodies for their support for the games.

It will be recalled that the games should have come up year 2012 but due to the 50th anniversary of the citadel of learning, it was postponed.
