I want to dissagree with you that its not a good way to encourage Muslim candidates that score high marks. For cry out loud what these students need now is not pilgrimage. There's still lot of time ahead of them to embark on holy prilgrimage. But for now, whatever thing the board wish to encourage them with should be what will further help their studies. They could have used the worth of the money meant for the pilgrimage to give them scholarship probably to final year. Its a nice move to identify with the students quite alright, howbeit, it will add little or no academic value to their career , neither will it enhance academic pursuit not the quest and hunger to achieve more greater achievement in the respective course of Choice.
