Wow such savage remarks. |
He should be mourned by all Easterners regardless of ethnic origin including Delta and Edo states (atleast parts of it) |
Obj is a thorough bred slowpoke. |
Awolowo is a lying piece of trash. Some of my cousins born during the war didn't look malnourished. Its not everyone that starved to death. Some ppl were worst hit while some managed well enough. |
@ OneNaira, reading and comprehension can't be that hard. Is it? If after the senseless killings, civil war and loss of lives and properties Easterners, southerners haven't learned their lessons about living with these violent people that destroy lives @ the slightest excuse then what do they need to happen to them for them to realize that living the North is not worth it? |
Silly people. If the civil war and pogrons, religious violence couldn't teach them a lesson I wonder oo. |
Obasanjo hands down. The man was too sexy for Aso Rock. |
@Alj, respecting some1 does not mean u can't point out their sins. Yes Saro committed his sins against us in the East. He apologized in Enugu right in front of Ojukwu and Ohaneze. Are u ignorant of that? Saro did well for the Ogoni in the 90s but was still accused of murder by fellow Ogonis and was tried and wrongfully executed. His death taught us that its not good to gloat and benefit from injustices meted against others because it might come back to haunt you and it did happen to Wiwa. You are trying too hard to pit Easterners against eachother but it won't happen. We have gotten smarter. I also blame the condition of the Ogoni on Wiwa's blunders for the fact that he failed to realize that the Igbo were not his problem during the 60s. Whatever issue he had with them were so personal it had nothing to do with Igbo or Ogoni. He schooled in Igbo land and was even the school prefect @ a point. Whatever issue Easterners had with each other @ that time was so not worth letting Nigerians divide us. We the younger generation are learning that bitter lesson Alj. I blame Easterners like Azikiwe, Asika, Adaka, Wiwa and others who believed in One Nigeria for our predicament. |
Alj Harem, throwing Saro Wiwa's sins against the Igbo and Biafrans @ my face is just not going to work because he came back and apologized. The Ogoni don't even own any part of PH so what concerns us with Ikwerre, Igbo and Ijo ppl? Ogoni ppl did not take properties from Igbo ppl. Saro Wiwa is just 1 Ogoni man and his actions can't be used against us. We are not responsible for whatever he did. Kobani and Kogbara were both Ogoni and fought for Biafra just like my family stood for Biafra so please FALL BACK. I have had this discussion with Igbos who think the Ogoni as a people fought against Biafra. All Eastern minorities should not be branded anti-Biafra due to actions of Adaka an Ijaw Boro or Wiwa an Ogoni. As for ur Boko Haram loving Kanuri brothers allegedly getting killed @ the mosque, it your responsibility to seek justice for them not mine. I am not Kanuri neither did I even have knowledge of poor Kanuri people getting oppressed by the army who are majority Hausa-Fulani and Kanuri. If in your culture its okay to slaughter humans and move on then that's just ur problem. In my culture we speak up against injustice. Jews, Armenians are still seeking justice. Jews in particular have gone as far as hunting former Nazis physically so what is wrong about us. The men who killed, maimed and destroyed Ogoni land must be brought to book and made to pay. Igbos, Efik, Annang, Ijaw, also owe it to themselves to do the same. You don't think I'm Ogoni? LOL! No I am Tiv. |
Alj, stop spreading falsehood. |
In the 1960s over 80,000 Easterners and Mid-westerners (Igbos, Efiks, Ijo) were slaughtered across Northern and parts of Western Nigeria. Pregnant women had their womb cut open. Old men and women were forced into tanks and blown up. Many fled back to the East. Biafran war ensued after that and 3 million more were either massacred or starved to death by the soldiers representing the Federal Government of Nigeria. The injustice continued with the Federal government's sponsored mass robbery of Easterners leaving them with only 20 pounds. In all essence the Federal Government wanted to further kill them off and yes many died of hunger or committed suicide. During that war over 2000 Igbos were murdered in Asaba. Hundreds more were slaughtered in other parts of the Mid-west. In the 90s the Ogoni in particular were massacred in their thousands by the army and many fled as refugees to the US and other countries. Ken-Saro Wiwa the leader of the peaceful movement against oil exploration and environmental destruction of Ogoni land and 3 others were killed. During OBJ's regime 200 Ijaw civilians were massacred in Odi. Why haven't we made a concrete effort as a people to hunt down these criminals and have them charged and prosecuted? Why haven't we even tried to take matters in our own hands and seek justice for our people? I believe that its our responsibility as a people to say to those who have caused us so much harm and pain and to the world that enough is enough. If these criminals grow old, die and get away without facing justice for their crimes we risk creating a society where more people will be emboldened to commit similar crimes. Its our moral responsibility to seek justice for our dead. |
@Kobojunkie, what exactly do you want the President to do that he hasn't done? If you people want him to raze down the NW and even NE then say so or hold your peace. Also, please don't criticize him after that. I am mad that the sponsors are at large but yes I still see double-standard. |
When Obasanjo was in power for 8 years we witnessed deaths of thousands of Nigerians in the North due to religious violence and also genocides in the Niger-delta but no one called for his impeachment because of that or even planned a vote of no confidence but now with 1 of own Easterner and SS man in particular in power these have grown highly impatient. Its not like he can't do better but I see a double standard. |
Ogoni or Biafra. |
Living a primitive life that is not safe all in the name of maintaining culture is plain dunb. Those mud houses should be @ the museum please. |
Lmao @ Edoyad. Smh |
I am not impressed. It simply a personal choice. Is he still in power? Nope. He retired and chose to live in a mud house. Kini big deal? |
So instead of praying for prosperity, peace, good healthcare, security, productive leadership, end of almajiri, end of forced marriages, end of child rape in the name of marriage, end of polio, end of Boko haram, rise in education, these people are more worried about the governor becoming a muslim? Why is FG continuing to sponsor these silly trips that promote nothing but more backwardness? |
Smh |
Don't blame the SW please |
Lmbo @ Beaf |
Are all Hausas living in mud houses? He made a personal choice and I see nothing commendable nor reprehensible about it. Living in a mud house doesn't make u humble neither does living n modern house make u arrogant. What a cheap attempt to praise Hausa ppl over the action of one man. |
Oh I am well vested. I keep track brotha. I see certain things about Nigeria that needs to change and #1 is over concentration of economic activities in Lagos. Its time to diversify and keep things closer to home. If I were to live in Lagos I will just rent instead of buying or building properties in a state where I will always remain a stranger. |
@Jason, that's clearly none of your concern. I haven't asked about your background or have I? When I feel its necessary to state certain things about me you will know. |
@AljHarem, please go tend to your cattle. I don't think I need the opinion of a common almajiri. |
Why do people like Jason act like the world begins and ends in Lagos? Such companies should remain where they are and I guess expand if they want but let's practice "charity @ home". There are other cities like PH, Calabar, Warri, where Innoson can get exposure it needs. I'm not against Lagos but let's for once quit thinking Lagos is the land of milk and honey coz its not. innoson will provide employment to many people and discourage many from leaving their region to seek jobs in places as far as Lagos and the North. |
ROTFLMBAO!!!! Nothing but a glorified wheel barrow. Aigbofa please do better. |
