Travel › Re: Nothing Wey Person No Go See For This Hospitality Business by dawnomike(m): 6:29am On May 24
Kalulu44:
Around 8:30pm today, I was doing routine patrol at the Guest House I am watching over.
After going round the guest house, I decided to go out and check too.
While going to the next gate/house beside the guest house which is still owned by my boss younger brother and still being watched by me.
.
I noticed 3 ladies sitting at the fence of the house. Looked at them and noticed the faces are strange from the regular street people that always sits there.
I approached them and politely ask them who are they and what they're looking for?
They said they're waiting for their friend who lives opposite the guest house to come back from work.
I told them, no problem. But that there's a certain time I can allow them stay there.
They nodded and continue their gist, while going I over heard them saying they'll so deal with him when he comes out.
Bcus it was Yoruba they were communicating with, I couldn't decipher if it's a female or male they want to deal with.
"A'ma fe se' le'se to ba de"
So that Yoruba words didn't state whether it's a male or female.
.
So I was just saying in mind what offense has this said lady donevthat 3 ladies are waiting to deal with her. I just did my own patrol and went back to my office inside the guest house.
Guys you see eh! If devil wants to deal with you, he can just use anything as excuse to drag you out for embarrassment.
.
Meanwhile, our 5 apartment are fully occupied. With all paying 15k each for day break except the front apartment that cost 40k for double apartment.
At our bar, we have all types of drinks from soft to alcohol and wine and spirits.
We have as chops fried meat, chin chin of different flavors, plantain chips, Burns and doghnut, and including cashew nuts and groundnuts.
None of this chops interest one of our lodgers, and he decided to go to an Aboki along the street to go buy the same plantain chips we have.
Just bcus ours is #500 and Aboki own is #200, he decided to patronize Aboki.
.
I opened the gate for him and he went out while I close it and went back to my duty post. Not even up to 10 seconds I heard serious shouting outside. I quickly opened the gate and went outside to see what's going on.
Lol and behold, it was one of those 3 ladies who held the man by the shirt and shouting untop of his head, "asewo osi" awon omo yin oti jeun ni'le, e gbe obinrin kakiri"
Meaning, stupid womanizer, your children haven't eaten at home and you are here frolicking with a woman.
.
The other ladies she came with were putting fire on their own, "Baba Kamoru, agbaya niyin sha" "E'ni oju ti rara rara, awon omo yin wa nle ti ebi fe pawon, eyin e se sina kakari"
All this while, our "Oga ade" was just speechless and couldn't find his voice to say anything.
Some senior men in the area came to calm them down, that was when the woman provoke and said before she let go, she wants to see the woman he lodged.
And like play like play, she was dragging "Oga Ade" back to our guest house.
.
The simp of a man didn't even resist, and was just following like a goat been taking to the slaughter slab.
I quickly bypass them and mount my gate, all these while people are telling the man to beg his wife and also telling the woman to allow them settle it at home. That they're just embarrassing themselves.
I stopped the lady and the man been drag at the gate.
The woman started yelling at me, that why am I stopping them from entering, that she wants to deal with the useless woman that's sleeping with another man's husband.
.
I politely told them there's no way I can allow them come in, especially with their noise. That they'll disturb other guests.
Omoh the other ladies she came with, tries to force their way in. That was when I brought out the matchete my direct security boss gave me.
I told them if anybody do anyhow, she will see anyhow.
They shifted away from the gate, I went outside too and lock the gate from outside.
I told everybody including onlookers that I don't want to see anybody around the premises.
.
They didn't listen to me, so I called my direct boss who's just 10 min away from where we were and told him everything. He responded he's coming right away. He rode his bike immediately down there, while entering the street, he shot a bullet into the air.
You need to see how people were running helter skelter, I was laughing my head off cus I 100% knew it was my boss.
Another laughable thing was, we didn't see or know where Mr Husband ran to cus the gate to the guest house was already locked by me.
Same with iyawo and her bodyguards 😀😀😀😀😀.
.
It was when the street people who knows my boss finally knew it was him that shot the gun that they started coming out.
Mehn! This is a scenario that has been making me laugh since.
After my boss restored order, he left me to handle the remaining situation after telling me what to do in case they come again.
.
It was around 9:45pm that "Oga Ade" sneeked into the guest house, picked his things and drove away with his bike, leaving the said lady behind.
Meanwhile when the whole brouhaha was going on, one of the guy's working with us has gone to tell the lady the man brought what's going on outside, and he relocated her to one of the staff room.
.
When I later got to know, I asked him why he did so. He said he thought the ladies will overpowered me at the gate and gain entrance. So he said he should save the the lady from hurt. I no fit laugh honestly.
The lady is now back to their apartment, but now alone and visibly shaking.
Omoh eh! Naija and different type of drama no dey ever finish.
My boss just sent me a WhatsApp msg asking if everything is ok and calm, I replied yes.
You did your job perfectly well... and you write well also

Please, do you reside in Lagos? Let's talk if you do. You deserve a better job my brother
Romance › Re: I Cleaned My Girlfriend’s House And Instantly Wanted To Break Up by dawnomike(m): 12:32pm On May 23
oarowosola:
I l

But each time I visited her place, the environment remained the same. One particular day, after she stepped out, I decided to clean the entire house myself just to prove a point. While sweeping, I found sugar inside the couch, rotting cashew scattered around, and several things that clearly caused unpleasant odors. I cleaned the parlour, arranged the bedroom, organized her bags, and put everything in order. When she came back, she thanked me, but I remember telling her that it shouldn’t get to the point where her boyfriend had to clean her entire house before it became livable. I told her clearly that if I visited again and the place was still in that condition, it would probably be the last time I came there.

Unfortunately, nothing changed. On another visit, the smell in the house was so terrible that I kept trying to trace where it was coming from. Eventually, I discovered a sack beside the couch she had been sitting on. Something inside it had gone bad, and the odor was unbearable. I carried it outside myself because I couldn’t understand how someone could stay in that environment comfortably. Later, when she went to make yam and eggs, I followed her into the kitchen and found another terrible smell coming from plates that had clearly been sitting there for days. Instead of cleaning the sink first, she simply pushed the dirty dishes aside and placed the yam directly on the dirty sink to peel it. In that moment, I felt completely traumatized and emotionally checked out.

Beyond cleanliness, I also started feeling unappreciated in the relationship. On her birthday, I called her early in the morning, posted her on my WhatsApp status, and celebrated her the best way I could at the time, even though I was broke. Yet she still complained that I didn’t make her birthday special enough. Meanwhile, on my own birthday, there was no call in the morning, no thoughtful gesture, nothing until later at night when she casually said she forgot because she had been going through a lot. What hurt me more was that I had actually bought her gifts for her birthday, including a designer bag and matching slippers I personally made for her. It wasn’t really about material things; it was the imbalance in effort and thoughtfulness.

I also noticed the same imbalance in everyday life. Whenever she visited my place, I was usually the one cooking, cleaning, and taking care of things even while working from home as a shoemaker. Most times she would just sit pressing her phone while I handled everything. She barely cooked for me throughout the relationship, and eventually I stopped going out of my way because I started feeling taken for granted.

Money became another issue. She would borrow money and either delay repayment or never complete it. As a shoemaker, the money I receive for jobs is not pure profit because most of it goes back into materials and production. Yet I still found myself lending her large amounts from jobs I was supposed to complete quickly. Even when she paid back partially, it felt emotionless, almost like she didn’t recognize the inconvenience it caused me.

The final straw happened recently when she visited me during a very busy work period. She suggested we spend the night in a hotel even though my house was already comfortable, and I agreed. I paid for the room, and when food was ordered later that night, I still ended up paying almost everything despite already spending heavily on the hotel. The next day, after returning from the market exhausted from buying materials for work, I expected to at least meet food at home since all the ingredients were available. Instead, I walked into a kitchen with bread wrappers and milk sachets scattered around while she had already eaten without cleaning up after herself. I still ended up cooking for myself.

The following morning, after she made food during the night, she left the kitchen in complete disorder again. Pots, plates, and leftovers were everywhere while I woke up early to continue

Eventually, I accepted the truth that we are simply not compatible. I don’t hate her, and I’m not trying to paint myself as perfect. I just know that I can no longer continue in a relationship where I constantly feel emotionally exhausted, unappreciated, and burdened. I’ve reached a point where I no longer want to argue, explain, or force things to work. I’ve already made up my mind that the relationship is over, and at this point, I just want to walk away peacefully and move on with my life.

What do you think? Be nice please
My brother, pls leave out her matter and post your beautiful hand-made shoes for us to patronize your business.

Use your precious time to goan buy your footwears materials rather than worrying about a lady that ain't a wife material.

Career › Re: Should My Cousin Quit For Her Remote Job? by dawnomike(m): 5:53pm On May 21
SpencerForbes:
I need some solid advice for my junior cousin who just finished her NYSC. She recently took up a physical job around Lekki and Ikoyi, but the reality on the ground right now is looking highly unsustainable. I want to make sure I'm guiding her right without giving her rash advice, so I want to hear what you guys think.

Here is the breakdown of the situation. Her salary is ₦100,000 monthly, but transport alone is costing her ₦2,500 daily. That sums up to roughly ₦65,000 a month just to move back and forth, leaving her with a measly ₦35,000 for feeding, upkeep, and every other thing.

To make matters worse, she used to cope by sleeping over at her company's Ikoyi branch changing room during the week just to cut down on costs and the grueling traffic. However, a security guard recently reported the situation, and management has banned them from staying over. Now she has to face the full cost and stress of the daily commute, which is practically impossible with what she earns.

The biggest issue right now is that she actually has a remote job on the side. But because this physical job is so demanding and time-consuming, she is struggling to meet up with her remote tasks and might end up losing it.

Personally, I feel staying at this physical job is just wasting her time and energy for ₦35k take-home, especially when it’s actively ruining a remote opportunity that probably has better growth potential and zero transport costs.

I want to know your honest thoughts on this. Should she just resign immediately and focus 100% on scaling the remote job, or how best should a fresh graduate handle this kind of Lagos workforce reality?
In my opinion, let her focus on her remote job. The stress and struggles of lagos is not worth it for a take home of 35k after transportation.

Let her put in all her effort on the remote job. As she is doing this, let her use her spare time to learn some skills like social media/digital marketing.

By the way, what did she study in school... Who knows, we might have a better job offer for her here... #Cheers

Family › Re: My Pregnant Wife Disappeared In The Middle Of The Night After A Misunderstanding by dawnomike(m): 8:18am On May 21
Ehinjuola:
Please, I need sincere advice because my mind is not at rest anymore. What started as a normal family visit has suddenly turned into something I never imagined in my life.
My wife and I went to her family house to discuss our forthcoming engagement and other marriage arrangements since she is already pregnant. The discussion took longer than expected, and before we knew it, it was already late in the evening. To make matters worse, rain started falling heavily, and getting transportation back home became very difficult.

I was outside in the rain, moving around and searching for a vehicle that could convey us and my uncle, who accompanied me, back home safely. Throughout that stressful moment, my wife didn’t even seem concerned. She stayed where she was without making any effort to assist or even show worry about the situation. Surprisingly, her mother later came out to meet me at the roadside, praying and hoping we would find a vehicle soon. Even her father’s younger brother joined me in searching for transportation.

After almost one hour, we finally got a cab. While we were inside the vehicle, my wife tried to start a conversation, but I was already upset and disappointed, so I kept quiet. After dropping my uncle close to his destination, we continued our journey home in silence.

At some point on the road, I finally spoke out in anger. I asked her why she behaved so unconcerned despite the fact that we came to her family house for something very important concerning our future together. Instead of calming things down, she became angry too and started saying hurtful words back at me.

As we were walking home, she suddenly said she wanted to ease herself by the roadside. Because I was still angry, I continued walking slowly ahead without paying much attention. After a few minutes, I looked back and realized she was no longer behind me.
I immediately returned to the exact spot where she said she wanted to ease herself, but I couldn’t find her anywhere.
Since that night, my wife has been missing for 4 days.

I have contacted her mother several times, but she told me not to report the matter to her father yet. According to her, she believes her daughter is safe and will eventually return home. But honestly, I’m becoming very suspicious and confused. Part of me feels she may know where my wife is hiding, but I can’t say for sure.

What keeps disturbing me the most is this: Where did my pregnant wife sleep that night? Who is she with? Is she safe? And why would she disappear without contacting anyone for 4 days?

Right now, I’m emotionally exhausted and scared. I truly love my wife despite our misunderstanding, and I never imagined something like this would happen over an argument.

Please, experienced married men and women on this forum, what should I do at this point? Should I involve her father and report this officially, or should I still keep waiting and hope she comes back on her own?
The earlier you reported this to the police, the better for you!!!
Remember, you are the last to see her..pls, go and report the matter

My wife divorced me after I confessed to her that I cheated once in 5 yrs of marriage. I was faithful for the 5 years we were married until she traveled and a friend disturbed me that she wanted to know my place. She came and tempted me until I fell that was it. My wife came but my conscience disturbed me for about a week until she asked me what was wrong and said I can tell her anything. I opened up and that was it.

I would have kept that secret till death but she left. I have long remarried but I still regretted telling the truth. The truth did not set me free as I expected. Please guys and girls there are somethings your spouse MUST NEVER KNOW.

Goodman024:
Good evening, everyone. Hope y'all had a great day.
I have a question please. I just want to know if am the one not seeing this as I should or something.
So the thing is that my pregnant wife, currently in her 2nd trimester is making it look like I don't assist her enough even though I do help very often, even before she got pregnant. I don't see any big deal in it at all, I cook sometimes, do the whole house cleaning every now and then, and even help her wash her clothes sometimes. But I would say these days I haven't been helping out alot due to work schedule, not that I don't help at all, I still help whenever I can.
But in her own words, it's as if she wants me to do 80% of everything because of her condition. I didn't overreact or anything when she said it, but I was like what sort of talk is that.
I just want to know if she's right and I'm the one not seeing things as I should.
Kindly share your opinion pls.
All I can say is that; try to be a patient with her as possible. This phase will pass!!!

Thank your star she has not started telling you to buy her Amala by 3am grin

A viral video circulating online shows a shocking moment when a giant snake was discovered on a church roof during a worship service.

The incident reportedly happened while worshippers were singing and praising God inside the church. The snake was later seen on the roof of the building.

Its appearance immediately caused fear and panic among members, who were seen staring upward in disbelief and hoping it would leave.

Family › Re: Did I Go Too Far? by dawnomike(m): 6:56am On May 18
Gagare1:
I hope it will be a short read.

So, there is this person I met during my undergrad years who was into youth ministry in the campus. He is a family man. I was introduced to him by a family that I consider my spiritual parents, and being the passionate type about the Christian faith, I trusted him and we started doing Bible study and other campus outreach programs. Our friendship grew well enough that sometimes I visit his house during the weekend (along with other youths he relates with) for Bible studies and what not. With time, I got to trust him enough to allow him into my personal space, which is not something I do easily because I am an introvert (until I trust you, then I sanguinize rapidly).

Fast forward to about two years later, I entered my first relationship with a lady and I hoped to marry her, so I introduced her to him. Gbam! Things started changing between us. Whenever she and I had issues (mainly bordering around her closeness with guys and her dislike of other ladies, even my own relatives) he seemed to take her side, always blaming me for being rigid. Now, he might be right that I am rigid, because we clearly disagreed on certain issues like him claiming to have more authority over me than my own parents because he is my spiritual leader, which I firmly disagreed. Or him saying a good man will forgive a cheating wife, for which I replied "she will go to her father's house and NOBODY can make me take her back". And many other instances.

Now, as time went by I got fed up with her flirting with random guys, and her lack of commitment to the relationship, treating me like an option. So when I graduated and left her on campus, I decided to gradually end the relationship by telling her to simply go ahead and commit to any guy she feels an attraction to, since I will no longer be around. Any reasonable person would have understood what it meant. As God will have it, about two months later, I met the lady that will later become my wife. But I didn't even try to woo her until after about six months when I was on NYSC camp. So everything was done via phone. First, I called my ex and officially ended the relationship, then call the new lady and professed my love.

Despite almost a full year of separation, all hell broke loosed after that call. My ex reported me to that mutual friend, who immediately went ballistic on me. He threatened to take unpleasant measures against me if I don't retract my words and come to the table. Table? To eat what? Tuwo ko Gurasa? I maintained my stance, telling him, "When I return from camp I will come to see you, but don't expect any change in my decision, I will only come to officially tell about it". And that was what I did. And for about two years, we were estranged.

However, when it was time for me to marry, I thought it will be good for me to honour him for the five years we spent together as friends on campus, at least he was kind of a guardian in a way. So I personally travelled interstate to meet him and address any grievance, even offering him the honor of being the guest preacher on my wedding. Now, I had to bypass a host of ordained ministers who were colleagues of my Dad, to choose him. In fact, some of them even told my Dad that they hoped he would have chosen them to minister at his youngest son's wedding, but I made my choice, and my Dad respected it. Of course, he chose his own friend to do solemnization.
Everything went smoothly.

About two years later, my wife and I decided to visit his family for Easter, we went with our daughter who was barely a year old. We spent two days. After about a year we visited again, but this time we returned with a clear decision to end any close relationship with him, choosing to simply treat him as an acquaintance and no longer a family friend. But why the drastic measure?

Here it is:
During the second visit, in the course of our discussion, only the two of us, he admitted jokingly that on their way back from our wedding, where he preached, they were discussing about how I chose not to marry a lady that matches my educational level and age, but instead went to marry a small girl with lesser education because I want to control her. But I will be shocked with what I will get, because that small girl will surprise me (i.e. deal with me).
Literally laying a curse on the very wedding he preached on. That was it!

Ever since we returned, for more than three years now, I give him cold feet. He has tried many times to get us to visit but I always find a way to avoid it. I simply don't feel my family is safe around them. The trust is no longer there.

On more than two occasions, he called my wife telling her to ask me what his offense was, that I am ignoring him. For me, it is a matter of family security.

By the way, the age gap between my wife and I is 5 years only. But she has a small body, so people think she is a small girl. I love that woman too much to risk loosing my guard, not for anyone, much less someone who cursed us while we smiled at each other.

I am open to mature advise.

Did I really go too far by redefining our relationship with him?
I love the MAN you are!!! You are doing the right thing here by protecting your beloved family.

“I’m a hustler, and I didn’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community. I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary,” he said.

Cubana Chief Priest had announced his political ambition earlier this year, advocating for what he described as cleaner and issue-based political participation driven by young Nigerians.

Following his defeat, reactions trailed the outcome on social media, with some users mocking the businessman and suggesting he may have underestimated the dynamics of Nigerian politics.

However, Ossai Ovie Success defended him against online criticism.

“Why are people mocking Cubana Chief Priest? Not nice… it’s ok to try and try again,” he wrote on Facebook.

“He lost an election and so what? I am disappointed,” he added.

You went hunting the whole day and caught nothing. Your children are hungry at home. But on your way back, you found this antelope about to deliver a baby.

Will you kill it or save her life for with her unborn baby?
As cruel as it may sound, just know that a Lion will not spare it because of it's baby.
In a much as you do no wrong to no man, you and your family's survival comes first!!!
