J Peppermaster: Years in the Cooler: How Long Must Ibusa Wait for Youth
The Obuzo-in-Council and by extension, the Ibusa leadership must prioritize the restoration of the Ibusa Youth Council. It is concerning by that the Youth Council has remained "in the cooler" for so long; since its dissolution, proactive steps should have been taken to reconstitute this vital body. We must ask ourselves: why the delay, and how much longer must we wait?
Nature abhors a vacuum. In modern governance, no community administration is complete without the active participation of its youth. Administrative voids are dangerous; for Ibusa to function without an institution as sensitive as the Youth Council demands urgent reconsideration.
The youth are more than just a demographic; they are the "mechanical system" of our society and the generational successors to our elders. We cannot allow a void to form between the present and the coming generations. While institutional challenges often arise quickly in Ibusa, restoration is frequently bogged down by years of delay. This trend must change.
We must encourage the Youth Council to reconstitute and resume its functions immediately. Growth requires a grace period: our youth must be empowered to lead, allowed the space to learn from mistakes, and supported as they refine the Council into a resilient, long-standing institution.
The Ibusa community must not remain indifferent to this absence. We must take decisive steps to bring the Youth Council back to life.

adamkkk: I have this friend that got married on time. It was because the woman was pregnant as at the time and the guy was still in school(200level). So he dropped out of school to become a full time husband. That was the excuse he gave back then.
The woman got him the first child and then the second. My friend was living minimal to support the woman, he even rented a shop for her and spent so much on her(I don't want to talk too much).
One day another married man far older than my friend, approached him and advised him to tell his wife to stay away from his family. Apparently, the woman was dating the other man and when the other man decided not to continue the relationship anymore, the woman(my friend's wife) started threatening him and his wife and was acting jealous. It was that same period that it became known that the woman was dating other men and has been promiscuous for years even though they don't help her with money. It was devastating.
My friend gave alot to that marriage and just like that, he was betrayed. So after everyday quarrel, she left the house.
It been like over 8 months now and my friend has moved on, i assumed so because he was with another girl that nearly caused issues between us
All of a sudden, he wanted the wife back. I advised her against the idea, but she was bent on doing just that. Some people were telling him to take her back like that. The matter tire me sef. So whenever the discussion came up, i would jejely avoid contributing to the talk.
So to the shock of everyone, he brought her and her load back. I don't want to say what on my mind and what am suspecting and at the same time, i could be wrong.
What do you make of the situation and is there a probable expectations in the future ?
Please let me know. You are doing well by staying out of their matter in peace... |

Nigerian singer Teniola Apata, aka Teni Makaniki, has said the assassination of her father, the late Brig. Gen. Simeon Apata (retd.) in her presence greatly affected her. Speaking in an interview with media personality Taymesan, Teni disclosed that she was two years old when gunmen stormed their Lagos home and murdered her father in the presence of the family. The ‘Uyo Meyo’ crooner added that this affected her growing up as she has since developed trust issues. In the interview, shared Sunday by the host Taymesan on Instagram, Teni said, “Growing up with my father passing at such a young age, the trauma of losing my father at a young age affected me. “You know, him being assassinated in the presence of all of us and all that stuff. I was 2 at the time. “Him passing away robbed me of a father figure. It sort of made me have trust issues growing up. Because they [gunmen] came into our house purposely to kill him.” The late Brig. Crime › Re: How A Keke Rider Ran Away With My Goods by dawnomike(m): 6:52pm On Mar 27 |
segaloo: It was a bright and bustling afternoon in the heart of the city of kano. I had just finished shopping for some important items for an upcoming event.
I decided to take a Keke to avoid the hassle of carrying the goods on foot. I spotted a Keke rider waiting nearby and approached him. I loaded my bags carefully into the back of the Keke, making sure nothing was left but then, something strange happened. Instead of him to make U-turn and took me he sped away, leaving me stranded and shocked.
I called out to him, but he was already gone, disappearing with my goods my hard-earned purchases were gone in an instant.
I reported the incident to the keke local union and shared the rider’s description with the Keke operators union. Though I never got my goods back up till now. The experience taught me a valuable lesson about trusting strangers, even in familiar places.
From that day on, I always made sure to verify the identity of any rider and never left my belongings unattended. It was a harsh reminder that sometimes, even the most ordinary errands can take an unexpected turn.

Romance › Re: This Girl Is A Devil. She Stole My 1.4mil by dawnomike(m): 6:48pm On Mar 27 |
Prophit: Guys, there is this fine girl, she recently finished youth service. A university graduate, but trust me, nothing upstairs ( or so I thought)
Guys, she can speak very good English and she is extremely pretty. We had a thing or 2 during that COVID period but I didn't let it metamorphos into a relationship.
For the purpose of this gist, let's call that girl Amaka.
So there is this social media management contract I have been chasing since late last year.
I know the chairman of the company, so I thought getting the contract will be a walk in the park. (Guys I was wrong)
The chairman no send me o. I have his phone number, we chat on WhatsApp, we are close, we hang out, yet he kept stalling the contract.
(Lest I forget, let's call the chairman Alhaji)
So I saw a video on Instagram where one guy advised that as a guy if you are chasing a contract from a fellow man, it's best to use a female.
Suddenly it was like a light bulb came on in my head. I quickly rushed to canva, designed a proposal, put Amaka's name.
I called Amaka, explained everything to her. I agreed to give her a one time payment of 200k.
I used like 1 week to prep her for the meeting.
When I realized she was good to go, I directed her to the man's office when I knew he would be around.
Guys, Amaka met Alhaji, she didn't even talk too much. Alhaji awarded the contract immediately.
I gave Amaka a friend's company account to collect payment. (The man was supposed to pay 6 months upfront)
Na so Amaka go drop her account number oo.
I just dey call my guy every 5 minutes weda money don land. The guy later come dey vex sef say I don too cal am say make I relax .
"My gee calm down, on how money land, I go let you know."
Let me be honest, I felt this guy was trying to be smart.
I don already make plans to use that money go buy itel power tank, infact I don dress up, na alert I just dey wait for.
Around 3pm, I knew something was off. Alhaji doesn't do any kind of financial transactions after 2 pm.
He says after 2pm he is most likely stressed, hungry etc. And he can't trust any decision he makes after that time.
So yeah! If the money didn't enter since morning, something was definitely wrong.
I called Amaka to ask if Alhaji changed his mind.
She said nooooo.
The nooo was sounding like something was in her mouth.
She tried saying something, but I didn't hear well because of the food in her mouth.
When she finally swallowed the food and answered, what I heard was "he has paid o."
I began to boil within me. I was ready to teach my friend some lesson. How could he lie to me like that...
Just as I was thinking of a thousand ways to reprimand my friend, I heard Amaka.
"Prophit, I think I can do that Job o. Why don't I pay you the 200k instead and take the contract?"
I didn't understand what she meant by pay me 200k. So I told her let her wait let me call my friend for the money first.
That was when she told me that she had dropped her account number and that the money was sitting in her account.
I asked her where she was, she said Kilimanjaro.
I asked her if someone took her there because me I know she can't take herself there.
She said that she went by herself to relax and see how she can start working on Alhajis social media pages.
That was when it dawned on me that I have been played.
I told her I was going to pay her 400k. She could use the money to buy some new clothes or something.
The girl told me that she really needs the contract. She has been looking for a job since, and God has finally given her one.
Please which God gave her the job? Shey this girl dey whine me ni?
720k go just evaporate from my hand like that?
Wetin be 720k sef? Na 1.4 mil dey go so ooo. Because the man go still renew another 6 months when this first one expires.
Chai!!!!
I have been thinking of what to do since yesterday. I asked a lawyer and he said since we didn't have any recorded agreement whether written or recorded audio in the presence of a witness, there is nothing I can do.
Chai!!!!!!!
Amaka
Amakaaaaaaaaaaa. If this ya story is true, that means Amaka was never dull as you thought afterall. Maybe she went extraaaaa Mileeeee to get the contract awarded as you don sabi say the Alhaji like women!!! Collect 400k in peace and leave with the lesson |
