Hima: I'm sorry I don't know how this work so I have a question: is the position of a president won by percentage of states that voted in his favour or percentage of people that voted in his favour? Concidering dat some states might have larger number of population than others.

In this Nigerian scenario the most populated region are in the North West and South West. Below are the top 5 most populated states in Nigeria 3 from NorthWest , 2 from SOuthWest.

A candidate can still win in majority of the states and yet loose the elections.Besides like I told you before stop including lagos in list of states the APC is going to win.Lagos is far too cosmopolitan and has very high concentration of non-indines.The people of SS/SE/MB in lagos will not vote in APC.

Lagos is the most ACN state in Nigeria thats the only state in the SW that has never been ruled by PDP even for a day and one of the few in Nigeria

PointB: Perhaps you didn't read me right. I did not ask that Rochas should go for the Vice President position. My suggestion is that CPC should give him the nod for as Presidential Candidate. That is the only way they can pull the rug off the incumbent's feet. And since the Vice Presidency is the power house of government by your estimation, that position should be reserved for the Northern candidate. Fashola and Oshimole should go to the senate to help strengthen the legislative arm of government. That is where their input is required for now.

I think Rochas/Ribadu ticket is more like it. They both bring fiery developmental passion and vision to the table. Exactly what Nigeria need. And Nigerians will certainly warm up to it.
