Leave me alone - dayoKANU |
Gbawe, Demdem and eguerilla Thanks for putting to shame those mor0nic PDP posters |
owanchief: ACN should just keep quiet they are just to good to defend themselves ,where is ACN when fashola increase school fees when their counterpart is given free education in imo state...so let them keep quiet cos we are looking forward to decide there future .Then can you just move to Imo state and enjoy this free education? |
salaksmana: So because of that Baptist will also name there school after somebody, a baptist church member is a Baptist, a redeem member is a redeemer that's why we have Redeemer's university, Ede, according to that your illogical arguement they would have name it Akindayomi university. Do your research very well Baptist universities in other countries are Baptist Universities plus the town eg Baptist university of the Americas or the town plus Baptist university eg Dallas Baptist university. Yes Bowen university was originally named Baptist university, Iwo, you want me to start looking for pictures from 2001, I don't have the time. Don't even bother to ask any staff or student as they won't know this only few of them that cares about history and founding staff also will know because the school was renamed in 2001 even before it starts academic operation in Nov 2, 2002. If truly wants to know then take the pain to come to Iwo and I will show you evidences. No evidence that the school was originally named baptist University Not even on the school website? But the founders came to your bedroom to inform you of the name Change? |
He should wait till the girl kills him |
airmark: ^^^^^And that is a lie from the pit of Hell Do we have an Anglican University? Rather we have it named after someone Ajayi Crowther Same with catholic Madonna, Seventh Day - Babcock, CAC-Joseph Ayo Babalola etc The school was never named Baptist University let them bring out any fact that supports their claim |
salaksmana: I can see in your signature, you're on dope. Now summarize the gibberish you posted up there and how it relates to Aregbesola or to TAWUN |
Yaya Kasua |
salaksmana: Were you also told in your church that Bowen university sometimes ago start allowing muslims students that wish to go for jumat to go and returned at a specific time (but later stop it when the issue was resolved) because there was pressure by Tawun that there should be a mosque in the school, been a baptist does'nt mean you will know everything, I'm a Baptist, I lived in Iwo and I worked in Bowen for a year (IT) sir Bowen was originally called Baptist university, even Tawun won't defend what a baptist like you is defending. Can you summarize the main gist of your post cos it sounds like gibberish at its best |
I would not be suprised if you don't know that Bowen university was formerly called Baptist University, as some students and staff don't even know. I was born and raised in Iwo, in 2001 the sign post of the school Baptist University was placed in front of the school and all entry and exits to the town, some documents were printed with Baptist university on it, pressure came from this group that they won't allow it except the name is changed, they agree to change the name. You made reference to a site that was developed few years ago and you want them to write it there that we change our name because of some religious extremist. Come to Iwo if you must know, ask those that have been in the town before or since 2000 they will tell you. Tawun won't even deny this as they are happy till date that they force the name to be changed. Dayokanu was told but I saw it myself.
In 2001, the name hasnt been decided since it was still getting approval from govt. the moment the University started, it was named bowen University I am a baptist and I know this wella. they give us reports every week in church. Its from our money that the school was built and we know all that happened not all these lies you are propagating. I have at least 2 family members who have graduated from Bowen since then |
Wetin dey happen for here |
abes: shocked @ bold, please give us link or anything to prove it.Thats the work of PDP propaganda. No fact just lies. I am baptist and it was our tithes that built Bowen and we were told from the beginning that the name would be Bowen University |
hooged: Jokes and sentiment apart I've never witness road construction/rehabilitation like this in osunstate , u hardly found pot hole in 5 major town named ede, ilesha ,osogbo, ileife and iwo (project phase 1) phase to follow...aregbe is working plsssss don't disturbWell said |
james1: Imagine this nonsense,50b from world bank and this aregbesola guy think Osun people are kindagathen students?Dont you think you need some education? |
Beaf: Is it PDP or Aregbesola that decided to bulldoze 170 schools (168 Christian) so he can rename them by pretext?Egbon mi razist you are not making sense as usual Buldoze schools that are old is the way to go, What sense does it make to renovate a school built 100yrs ago by Missionaries? When did Aregbesola mandate Hijab for anyone? U.S. to defend Muslim girl wearing scarf in school |
Who said it's Aregbe that rename the school, sir do your findings very well, if you will have to search google search, Bowen was formely called Baptist university, I can't continue arguing with you, you are arguing base on political sentiments and not facts.
What are the facts and what are sentiments? Can you tell us with those same facts the dates the University name was changed to Bowen university Bring the facts and lets discuss |
We dont want an OBJ stooge at the World bank |
Why cant Retardeen and PDP help her to rig the elections |
The land was donated to Bowen university, when? How? Where? Sir the land on which Bowen is operating has been the property of Baptist College, Iwo years ago, thank God you acknowledge the fact that there was trouble about hijab yet you said Tawun are nothing to worry about, everything has been calm before there arrival, even intra-conflict do occur between them and muslims but sentiments won't allow us to say the truth.
There has been problem over Hijab in many states So is it TAWUN thats causing the problem in those states too? |
Baptist College has been in Iwo forever, My dad went to Baptist College as far back as 1960's So whats the point |
1. So he must also RENAME them. If you know Iwo very well then you will know Baptist High School, you know the number of buildings in that school, so he will demolish all of it, another allegation, waste of public fund. 2. We don't want to wait till that time. Comes, and please how will all students of both primary and secondary schools be wearing the SAME uniform. 3. Confirm please. 4. We are not talking about PDP killing ACN, we are talking about Aregbe's behaviour and extremism. 5. My brother you might be a baptist and you won't know this fact if you don't go to church regularly, but I doubt if you are a Baptist, Bowen university was originally called Baptist university and the sign post has already been placed, some documents has also been printed, they decided to name it Bowen (Thomas Jefferson Bowen) not because they want to originally but to allow peace reign, to make the school stay in Iwo rather than moving it to Ogbomoso or other bidders and in order to retain the abbreviation BUI. Who said Aregbe is the cause, you said Tawun is nothing to worry about, so I asked you some questions about them.
You are soo incoherent its shocking Regarding the issue of Hijab, Would xtian students be mandated to wear hijab? if not then whats the problem? I posted an article on how Moslem students in the US are allowed to wear hijab, thats a country that has less than 10% Moslem population, So whats the problem here? No Aregbesola can force students to wear Hijab against their will Where are evidence of Aregbesolas extremism? How is the scuffle between Moslems and other religions related to Aregbesola? Almost in every state in the country there are skirmishes between Moslems and other religion So its mischievious to blame this on Aregbesola Regarding Bowen university, What exactly is your point? The school has been named Bowen University since inception in 2002 When Aregbesola was still a commisioner in lagos, So how does the naming of Bowen concern Aregbesola? |
lagerwhenindoubt: @dayokanu While the influence on Religion in Social matters is undeniable - we must recognize that we are Nigerians first before Muslim/Christian. If Aregbesola refuses to recognize that Constitution comes before Religion (whether you like it or not)he lays the foundation for Religious friction between Muslims and Christians in his state and other states. Hijab is important as long as it does not build the wrong perception (especially social/psychological discomfort) among students of different religions who grew up together in an environment of peace/tolerance. Even among muslims, wearing the Hijab is a personal choice not a constitutional or religious obligation. By enforcing the wearing of Hijab even for Muslim students (especially by the Muslim Police) confirms the fears of ordinary citizens that they are gradually being alienated, targeted for mistreatment and extermination due to their religion. Do not make a mistake, What Aregbs is aggressively channeling his energies into does not bring about peaceful co-existence. It brings about distrust and violence. No one can enforce Hijab on any student except the parents. If a Moslem student decide not to wear hijab and she is supported by her parents, A million Aregbesola can not change that. likewise Aregbesola can not force a Xtian student to wear hijab simple. Find below an aricle on Hijab even in the US U.S. to defend Muslim girl wearing scarf in school |
