I am glad that we are able to come to some agreement here.

Most Africans before stepping on US soil are soo enthralled by the idea of a free world where everyone is a millionaire until they get discriminated against and most painfully by ppl of the same color

Naturally such ppl would just withdraw back into their comfort zone of fellow Africans.

The sad part is that this discrimination starts from early childhood, An immigrant 7yr old girl in elementary school is quickly made to know she isnt one of "them" cos of her accent and very nubian features. She thereby withdraws into her own group where she wont be discriminated against

Onlytruth,

I kind of agree with Aribisala,

The performance of Rochas is key to the APGA eastern succes just like ACN leveraged on fasholas.

Peter Obi hasnt been convincing though.

I like the early moves Rochas is making, If there can be a co-operation between the SE and SW, NOT A TAKEOVER. Retain your APGA, we retain our ACN

if the ACN govs perform well we can use that to encroach on the neighbouring NC like Kwara, Kogi and Benue while we

@dayokanu

I am a pragmatist when it comes to public policy and politics. Nigeria is very easy to navigate as a member of majority tribe. If I were from the minorities, then this would be tougher because they are different groups there.

If Ndigbo don't change soon, we would become minority in every sense of the word in Nigeria.
It is already happening.  cry That is why I get mad at national party adherents in Igboland.

Of course things can change tomorrow if PDP changes and appreciates our numerical strength and interests in Nigeria.
I don't see that happening soon. You remember that saying "no permanent friends in politics, only permanent interests".

BTW thanks for your support!  wink
But I dont agree with inviting those PDP castaway politicians back.

When APGA guys were struggling and fighting , they went to Abuja to enjoy the loot.

They shouldnt be rewarded for leaving the people when they needed them

Thats why I  support Tinubu regardless of whatever allegations they lay against him, he was the one who stood up and delivered the SW from the PDP monsters
Politics › Re: Will APGA Take Over South East? by dayokanu(m): 10:02pm On Jun 23, 2011
Onlytruth:
As a matter of fact what I expect is that political heavy weights in Igboland should capture APGA and take it away from Peter Obi and Victor Umeh.
Why are all of them running away from Obi and Umeh? huh huh
It is like coming to your family home and seeing it in run-down conditions, and instead of you fixing it, you abandon it and go to live with a neighbor. Meanwhile at the neighbors house, you are busy fixing it and building it. undecided

Well, a day will come when the neighbor will remind you that you are NOT the owner of the house and deal ruthlessly with you. cool

Only a fool invests in another man's house! undecided cry
Most of these heavyweights are already PDP boys and they were the same ones who sold out to Northerners in PDP, WHy dignify them with APGA leadership again?

Its like ACN now admitting OBJ, OGD, Akala, Omisore and thereby giving powers back to the same people who sold out.

Let them grow a new set of Political figures who would be the face of APGA not the old sell out crowd and PDP b1tch33s

E.g the most important Politician in the SW after Tinubu is probably fashola which is a complete newbreed and never heard of till 2007. Also see how much Aregbesola controls his state that made osun State to vote Ribadu regardless of GEJ/Buhari noise

Maybe By 2015 If they perform well Ajimobi, Amosun and fayemi would be the new power brokers and heavyweight of SW politics thereby throwing the OBJ led PDP maniacs into the dustbin of history.
Politics › Re: Will APGA Take Over South East? by dayokanu(m): 9:55pm On Jun 23, 2011
Onlytruth What brought about the recent transformation to you.

You have indeed seen the light.

Onlytruth:
The point is that if APGA wants to be taken seriously nationally, it must capture the East (by all means necessary), or it should be allowed to die a natural death, while Ndigbo would NEVER be respected nationally. FACT.
If you dont grow APGA you would be irrelevant in PDP politics.

See hausa ppl Smart ppl, Voted CPC at presidency, PDP at governorship. both ways they win. CPC wins they claim their region is the biggest stronghold for him, PDP wins they already have majority in PDP politicians.

The only way to go is to embrace your own regional party, Look what happened to SE despite their overwhelming PDP support.

Onlytruth:
The main intent of this article is to advise Ndigbo to grow APGA as their only political vehicle to attaining national relevance.
National party adherents in Igboland must understand that they are indirectly responsible for Igbo marginalization in today's Nigeria, whereby PDP is begging SW to receive a position that SE wanted desperately.

You are a phat phool!!! 62 goals form where? I count 45. Oh, I see you went to his Wikipedia page and foolishly added the goals he scored for the B team, DUNCE!!

45 goals and 14 assists in 122 appearances for a Barcelona forward is nothing to ring home about.

Pedro cannot lace Cesc's boots. He will only play ahead of him if Pep wants an extra forward.

Of course there will be some rotation but i guess this is how they'll line up more often than not.

Busquets

Xavi Cesc

Messi Iniesta

Villa
Dont bother your self, Barcelona would never play that formation, Only 2 of those are genuine scorers Messi and Villa.

Busquet is the DM and would always play ahead of Fabregas

Cesc isnt as creative as Xavi or Iniesta so cant bench any of them

Neither does he score as well as pedro, Messi.

So he would always sit on the bench as long as Xavi and Iniesta are fit enough or the Game isnt an important one.

Was Zlatan or Villa bought to bench warm? huh

The really expensive players are bought to start.
The point is that Barca dont have a money problem, Banks in Spain would always bail them out They bought Mascherano and Chrygynsky when they were not going to be starters.

They bought Zlatan and flung him 12 months later for a fraction. They would have no money spending 40m for Fab to sit on the bench

Cesc was playing regularly at a younger age than those players you mentioned. He needs a proper break to recuperate and return to form.
Younger age? Fab is 24, and he barely play in those competition. Its just like pepe reina complaining of fatigue from Spains summer

Barca doesn't put £40m players on the bench, it's not their style. Secondly, it is a bit daft to be chasing a bench warmer season after season in the press. In my view, it is simply a reminder to Cesc not to sign another deal, so that when they want him they'll get him cheap.

So you pay £40m for a player to play insignificant games?? Why not play Alcantara instead?
How much was paid for Chrygynsky and Mascherano never mind a club who has spend over 100m on a striking position in 24months A position which wasnt even problematic.

Barca has the money to pay only that they dont think Cesc deserves that much. They flung 65m at Zlatan, 40 at Villa, 22 at Chrygynsky etc

Obviously not, but it was more down to injury than anything else. Cesc hasn't had a summer off for years and the toll eventually showed last season.
Pls what has he been doing in the summer that Xavi, Villa, Iniesta and co havent been doing? Well sitting on the bench must be tiring these days.

@Dayokanu, never thought you'll resort to insulting anyone as an objective contributor to this forum but, If you live in Ejigbo/Alimosho axis you'll know my criticism has nothing to do with blocked drainages. A friend had to phone the guy in charge of works as to why the Isolo/ Ejigbo rd under construction since last year has not been concluded and the dude point to the FG not remitting their part of the counterpart funding. Beats me to see how Lagos will progress on these fronts when they've to go to PDP center for funds.
Where have I insulted you, Pls point it out in bold.

I used to live in Egbeda-Akowonjo and I know the area very well

Lets use the example you gave now. A federal road is jointly owned by the federal and State gov with joint responsibilities. If the federeal gov is refusing to do their own part, Now how is Fashola to blame for that?

Pls do us a favour Can you show us what Lagos income is and divide it by the population, Now compare it to any state in Nigeria and lets see the result.
