Dayokanu

You Are an Old Soul
You are an experienced soul who appreciates tradition.
Mellow and wise, you like to be with others but also to be alone.
Down to earth, you are sensible and impatient.
A creature of habit, it takes you a while to warm up to new people.

You hate injustice, and you're very protective of family and friends
A bit demanding, you expect proper behavior from others.
Extremely independent you don't mind living or being alone.
But when you find love, you tend to want marriage right away.

Souls you are most compatible with: Warrior Soul and Visionary Soul

That means we are compatible, Lets start making marriage plans

Definitely the pronunciation are expected to vary.

Have you heard Ileke idi speaking her Ekiti language? Its worse than than Angelique Kidjos.

Even listen to Oku people from Sierra Leone when they speak their language which is a variation/dialect of Yoruba it sounds very different. Never mind the Cuba and Brazilians.

Its really civilisation that made our Yorubas in SW Nigeria similar, People are able to mix more and speak a more unified version of Yoruba.

Despite that self Me even as the best Yoruba speaker on Nairaland cant even understand some dialects in SW e.g Ijebu, Ekiti, Kogi(Okun) even Egba

Angelique Kidjo sings with a lot of Yoruba.

e.g the song Jenifa referred to is a popular Yoruba folklore where a girl that refused all suitors in her village thinking she was too pretty for them was married by Ori(head) Ori had to borrow other parts of the body to complete this fine boy image, when Olajumoke now realised that her new groom was a rolling head she wanted to run away and that song was used to call Ori.

another song. Babalawo by Angelique Kidjo

Yoruba folklore of a man who was told not to use his hand to eat for a while and he disobeyed his tummy bulged

of Babalawo mo wa bebe alugbinrin, won ni kin ma fi owo kan enu

The Yoruba we speak and write is influenced by the people who translated it which is English.

Also French speaking Yoruba would have the influence of the French language on it.

E.g the city Called Sabe in Yoruba is called Save in Benin Republic

e.g a Name like Sanjo in English Yoruba would be written as Sandjor in French Yoruba.

I can give you several Yoruba sounding names who play for Benin and Togo.

Find out about Razaq Omotoyyossi, Adekanmi Olufade, Jimoh Oyawole, Mouritala Ogunbiyi(Muritala), Babatounde Bello, Rachid Chitou(Rashid Shittu)

And you don dey chop like tif if you chop 2 finish. 500 ml Eva bottled water is N80. Total is N630. You can decide to add ponmo and assorted like 4 pieces at N50 each totalling N200. Grand Total will be N830. That's $5.93 at current exchange rate of N140/$1.

Sagamite:
And only pussi men make this kind of senseless and illogical statement. grin

Real responsible, brave men can hit women that choose to hit people. Don't do what you don't want done to you to others.
That statement is even insulting to women, That means they can not be held responsible for their actions.

They can hit people but cant be hit back.

If you dont want to be hit, then dont go ahead and hit ppl

Well I don't know about that. Did you hear of a single person that was killed or any building that was burnt down.
The point I am making which you seem to have missed is that the country is sliding towards a situation where the president would have to declare martial law with all that entails.
And make no mistake the number 1 responsibility of government is to provide security. But how can they do that effectively when riots, killings and massacres keep breaking out all over the place?
If something like this happens Would you say the best thing a president can do in such situation is to PRAY and FAST that the criminals come and confess.

A President thats unable to provide security and he is asking what he can do, How about he resign and not infect the whole country with his mumucious cluelessness

Neither has he done something that will make me not to vote for him. Like i said he may not be the God sent that his apologist have been shouting about but he's new on the scene,
You mean you are satisfied with the violence in the whole country and you believe he cant do anything about it other than to tell us to pray that criminals confess?

so let's make him a substancial president and see what he has to offer. Afterall OBJ was there for 8 years and we did nothing about it. How worse can a Nigeria president get.
Thereby wasting anther 4yrs as we watch the mumu show of GEJ
Politics › Re: Let's Give GEJ A Chance by dayokanu(m): 7:24pm On Feb 04, 2011
You mean when militants bomb the nations capital the best way to address it is to come n air and defend them?

Next thing go to redemption camp and pray that the criminals come out to confess?

Later share ECA and tell people to endure killing till he becomes president.

GEJ is too dumb to be President.

afam4eva:
It's obvious the guy was clueless when he become the president. He came our president by accident and really had no ideas. But i see the guy to be someone who's honest. He may not be the best person for the job but unfortunately the best are not contesting. That's why i feel we should just cut him a slack and see what he'll do.
You mean his honesty in looting the ECA account, or the honesty in telling us to pray for criminals to confess or the honesty in inviting MEND to dinner while exonerating them when they claimed responsibility?
Politics › Re: What If Those Who Believe In Jonathan Are Wrong? by dayokanu(m): 7:11pm On Feb 04, 2011
tensor777:
Maybe. But until these misguided young men stop taking the laws into their hands and stop destroying public and private property and stop killing and maiming innocent people there is very little any democratic government official can do except to react to the crises as they unfold.
Or maybe you expect the president to declare martial law with shoot at sight orders and detention without trial and even summary executions.
Then you would have a dictatorship as opposed to a democracy.
You mean in the UK where you reside or any country for that matter, when some people decide to take laws into their hands, the leaders fold their hands and pray the mob in its infinite mercies stop destroying ?

When there were riots in UK like 2 months ago did the PM declare martial laws to curb it?

Less turbulence? Late December did you hear about bomb blasts in bayelsa? did you hear about Independence Day Bomb blast?

What of the violence in Jos, Bauchi, Borno etc. What of the wanton looting of the ECA

Since its not in GEJ's tenure it started, it cant end in GEJ's tenure we should endure it.
