Gender equality i stand for is men seeing women as a part of them,as human beings and not slaves/2nd class citizen as it used to be, ow can it be soo equal role-wise when men cant conceive, deliver babies, bossom feed!)
Are women able to impregnate themselves?

How many nigerian men can cook, wash dishes, pick kids from school,do laundry, bathe their kids and so on?at least not from the lil i read here on NL,but d finance has to be 50-50?.I gew up knowing my father to be in charge when it comes to finances,my mother was a helping mate and contributes when need be(more lyk additional things), n so my dad earns so much respect from my mum n the children, i expect my marriage to be lyk that too and anything less is a No FOR ME, I definately wont be selfish with my money, but oga must do his duty and not wait for me, my dad has no idea ow my mum's salary is spent, but my mum spends it mostly on we kids n kitchen stuffs, Men,take up your responsibility,be in charge(not be a semi-god o
Its either its 50-50 or Male is superior. Choose one

Family › Re: Are Girls More Difficult To Train Than Boys? by dayokanu(m): 11:06pm On Jan 12, 2011
queensmith:
and then you think girls are harder to deal with? how is stubbornness suddenly the easy trait?
No boys dont necessarily have more energy than girls, they both have equal amounts of energy just tend to expend it differently. i.e a boy will run around, a girl will read a book!
How is this Stubborness to start with? You discipline both of them, they take to it, the boy gets over it much quicker and he is ready to play, The girl goes about sulking (probably due to their emotional traits)

A 12yo boy, is having wet dreams, sneaking po/rn/ogra/phy, peeping into girls shower rooms sniffing bras and ma/sturba/ting chronically.
I think this is much more bothersome and an issue that needs to be approached before a developing girl who is sulking because her bosoms are smaller than her classmates? and thats if they are even small! Young girls don't think about sex, sex is brought to them, at 14 boys irritated the hell out of me though i had my first crush at 10. I never imagined having sex with anybody until i was 16!
Boys are much more se/xually motivated and have less control over their hormones. example;
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-582578.0.html

You need to educate your daughter as much as you need ot educate your son! in fact you should even educate the boy more! since he is still very much capable of molesting girls (something alot of young boys do) engaging in inappropriate se/xual acts, catching a veneral disease (another thing that happens to alot of them) and impregnanting a series of girls.
Talking to a girl as a woman, is much easier than talking to a boy, its just a little uncomfortable and thats why parents chose to ignore it and instead complain that raising girls are hard while thier male sons are busy wreaking havoc about the estate
The fact is that a girl matures sexually faster than a boy, Its very common to see boys of 12-14 who dont even care about their looks, In Naija you would see them playing ball, getting dirty, and not caring about their appearance. All they care about at this age is play. But girls at that age are already thinking about bfs.

Most boys have a gf like 4yrs later than their female agemates.

!wooooooort? wooooooort? seriously? boys dont get into dirty vices? please be specific about the vices btw i want to break those down to!
17-21 a boy reflects the training (or lack of) hes recieved as a child. In the uk you get problems like drug dealing, knife crime, assault e.t.c these are the things the boys get up to
with girls you have underage pregnancy . . . . , . , . ( i cant seem to think of anything else) WOW so people are trying to tell me a girl getting pregnant is worse than a boy dealing drugs? o dear!
You know drugs is not exclusive to one sex, Women abuse drugs too and we have many female crackheads too. So this vice goes both ways to both sexes.

In Nigeria you get them trying out this 'yahoo' thing basically committing fraud, alot of them join questionable gangs or violent cults committing murder, rioting, stealing, blackmailing even ra/pe and all sorts its not unheard of for some to leave home with the impression they are attending school for many years and actually never be enrolled in one (though this happens with girls to, but i personally dont no any). People fail to understand that boys are much more impressionable than girls, and much more sensitive to the environment you can have one girl in a house full of love-peddlers and never delve into it. At my age I know soo many virgins its almost unbelievable with the fact that everytime i meet up with my friends we have very graphic conversations about sex! Still girls are good at standing thier ground, whilst you will barely meet a male who is capable of controlling himself or sticking to beleifs, in an antagonistic environment! Thats why even the most religious man in the world changes once they land in england!
Are you trying to say Boys are more impressionable than girls? You are being funny right? Barely meet a guy sticking to his beliefs? Come on!!! While in school, I have met several "Brothers" who lived in the same room with gamblers and womanizers but cant just get corrupted.

If by the age of 22 one is not obsessing over their life then, houston we have a problem!
Theres absolutely nothing wrong with obsessing over your life, better to obsess at 22 than obsess at 32! like most men do when they encounter problems they were previously too immature to deal with! Having too much of a laid back approach to life doesnt make you a better child at all! And it definitely doesnt make one more easier to raise.

Again this really doesnt make you a harder child to raise, it simply brings attention to the fact that our society is full of misogynistic beliefs that need to be dispelled.
What is great about not accepting a female that has wronged whilst being accepting of the man?
Its about how crime is viewed, Prostitution is just vile in our part of the world. If 3 girls come out One said she has smoked weed, One said she was an armed robber and the 3rd says she was a pr05titute in a brothel. I think the 3rd one would be viewed as worse or what do you think?

Dayokanu,

regarding love-peddlers, a sizeable number of our undergraduates love-peddler themselves. Some female bank workers are actively in it. That's no secrete anymore. I guess there are more "respectable love-peddlers" out there than those who have " taken a curtain" in hotels.
A lady (married or single) bleeping her boss (to keep job, get promotion or money) counts as prostitution in my book.

So prostitution is an acceptable thing these days EVEN IF ONLY SUBCONSCIOUSLY.
I have seen men come on TV to say they were ex-armed robbers yet to see any woman in Nigeria publicly declare that I was once a prostitute, i used to stay on Allen or at Ayilara cheesy

Family › Re: Are Girls More Difficult To Train Than Boys? by dayokanu(m): 8:33pm On Jan 12, 2011
I think Girls are more difficult.

As Toddlers, If you shout at a boy or even beat him, In 30mins time bring out a ball and he has forgotten about what you did 30mins ago. But do same to a girl and she would sulk all day long and refuse any entreaty
Boys have energy and all they look for is an avenue to play and burn the energy. The best girls at this age are even the "tomboys"

By the time they are teenagers thats when the problem of girls start. While a 12-14yr old boys major problem is xbox and PS3 a girl of that age is already thinking about her sexuality and BF. A girl of 13 is already worried that her bo-0bs are small, She doesnt have a bf, She is fat, Her friends are not friendly etc at that point she starts having secrets, Secret callers, toasters, bfs etc.

At 17-21yrs is the point a boy child is most difficult because he is growing to an adult and has a lot of pressure from the environment. At 17-21yrs The same happens to a girl and they start getting into dirty vices.

By the time a guy is 22 and above, they are over the pressure thing and have a mind of theirs. They tend to mend fences that was broken during the friction time with their parents while this time A girl is now a major problem obsessing her life with who she would marry and what have you.

Also it needs to be said that in our society, a man gone bad is easier to rehabilitate and accept back into the society than a woman.

The worst vice probably a guy can do is to become an armed robber I have heard of men even Pastor who claim they were ex armed robbers.

How many women in our society would say they were ex-pr05titutes and would be accepted back into the society like Nothing happened?

Now let me ask one simple question.

Which one are you for Gender Equality in everything including finances or Male superiority in Everything including finance.

You cant say When it comes to finance Men are to be superior but when it comes to other things they are equal?

Why the hypocrisy in most women BTW?

The decade was from 2000 to 2010.

Can anyone tell us Arsene Wengers achievements in this period that made him better than other coaches I would give 4 Examples

Mourinho, Gourdiola, Ferguson and Benitez.

I would appreciate if this is about Sporting achievements and not that "Benitez changed the jersey of Inter Milan from Blue to white" or "Mourinho changed the Team bus of Chelsea from Molue to Faragon" type of arguments here.

Now Gunners prove that some of you are intelligent by throwing your hat in the ring

@ Dayo, Likeme, Genuis et al

Let's not get sentimental her cos IMO that's what spoils relationships. We are know that at least 70% of the time, guys tend to forget the girl that was there for him through thick and thin . . . especially when they finally realize they can make it on their own.

The main thing to focus on here is if it's right for a woman to keep sponsoring a guy at her own detriment in the name of love . . . . The answer is clearly NO. Is it right for the guy to keep accepting her handouts knowing she was overdrawing her account? NO!

As of now, they are both in a relationship so it's about their individual needs. She has to protect hers first before thinking of a boyfriend. Besides what message is she passing across to him? That it's okay for him to laze around since she can pick up the bills?

I say again, there's something fundamentally wrong with a man who relies on his gf (not fiancee or wife) for his source of livelihood. Must he have a girlfriend? If he know he's broke he should focus on taking care of himself and leave girls alone. When's he's financially stable, he can look for a girlfriend. At least then he'll be able to contribute his part in the relationship and his respect will be intact.
My own question is simple, Would your response have been the same if it was the girl taking money from the guy?
