Nigerians want to eat omelettes without breaking one single egg. Free education, free parking, subsidized fuel, subsidized power, free everything. It doesn't work that way. We need to raise taxes to fund our needs as it is done elsewhere in the world. I believe we have a revenue problem in Nigeria and if we can put our massive GDP to work and generate at least 15% of GDP per year in taxes, we would have solved half our problems. Plugging loopholes is a part of it but no where near enough. We must at least triple our revenues to stand any chance at economic recovery. I will support any candidate with an aggressive revenue generation manifesto, including removing subsidies and directing it to funding education and other social amenities that will benefit the poorer masses more.

I agree 100%. Hence why the record, plans and economic ideology of all the 2023 candidates should be forensically scrutinised. But if we choose to discuss things that have zero impact on our quality of life then we are only doing ourselves.

You cannot fool all the people the same time.

On this, by better collaboration between State and Federal Governments you will see that the data is not available only if the car is unregistered, stolen or documents are incomplete. Lagos is using all available resources and filling in the gaps where required to accelerate digitalisation and if other state governments also choose to do so you will be amazed at what can be achieved. Good Governance is not magic, you just need the WILL and VISION.

Distribution hubs are rarely if ever In the Centre of large cities, they are almost always located in the outskirts of the city they serve. In the Uk for example, many of the logistic warehouses and distribution centers are on the motorways so that trucks can easily get to them without traffic.

Anyone who has been abroad driving on highways will have seen large distribution centers/ warehouses in the middle of nowhere.

Below are distribution centers for IKEA, Morrison and Tesco in the Uk, you can see they are in the middle of nowhere. The last pic is IKEA USA west coast distribution center in in the middle of the California desert. Apart from the issue of traffic and access, you require large acreage for distribution centers and land is cheaper in the outskirts.

Tinubu had always been an advocate of State Autonomy, Restructuring, State Police, in general more more power to the State for example earlier this year when Lagos supported Wike in he's battle against FG for states to collect VAT. Lagos started power project when Tinubu was governor but the project was curtailed by the FG. With Tinubu as president and APC as the majority in National Assembly we can start to move towards a Nigeria that enables all States to explore their developmental rather than wait for handouts from FG, a true federal structure.

I dont know what Atiku plans to do or what he stands for.

Unless he plans to be a dictator, Peter Obi will be a lame duck president because in the National Assembly he will not have the numbers needed to be make the constitutional changes that are required to make Nigeria work. Just the facts.
