The Buhari administration has perform very well in the aspect of Boko haram insurgency. The evil group crime rate is reducing.
He is working on reducing corruption through TSA, corporate penalty like MTN, the custom and import dependency and others I can't remember.
But he has a lot of work over his shoulders.
Boko haram was a northern conspiracy to distract the GEJ administration and was definitely going to reduce when the took over power( a fight on Boko haram is a fight on the north) Te so called TSA was initiated in 2013 and had over 100 Fed agencies on the pilot phase in 2015 GEJ ordered the remaining agencies to key in only to e voted out thus the continuation. so if this is why you say he is performivg well then please rethink.
On import dependence nothing has changed as every thing is still een imported jus that the cost has shifted to the common man to pay the charges as they are not produced locally

On my part i believe the administration is lacking in focus as every minister wants to prove himself rather than working as a team thurs making the govt look incoherent ut they do ve things to offer
The fight against corruption although looks selective at the momemt is good as you cant fight your house first cos when you go outside who would help you fight the enemy? More corrupt heads should roll even if its jus the opposition for now in that way the ones ruling also know their day of recorning would come
if the restructuring of the pulic service continues then we are on the right path
in all i say 5/10 for now

One thing that is so common now among the youths is that they blame the government for everything. For pete's sake, IKEDC is a private firm!! Can GTB, PWC, or Total staffers go on strike because they performed poorly in their company's performance appraisal? We need to change our ways of reasoning.

No serious investor would want to buy any of our refineries if they know they would be frustrated by silly unions like the Ajaokuta steel company issue. The major problem the country has is the citizens. IKEDC is a profit making organization and not a government agency. If you as a staff do not meet expected KPIs, then you should expect the worst. No room for inefficiency and ineffectiveness.
If it's a private profit making firm why did Fashola a minister of FGN say d public shld swallow a bitter pill by paying more? Why give credence to nonsense? He called for it so please refrain from insulting pple with. Ur ignorance

Look young man, I don't like folks who throw insults at any random cognomen on faceless fora. You would have still pass your own opinion without name callings.

That been said. No court of any jurisdiction have found yunusa guilty of the baseless accusations he was been accused of. What I and everybody have been reading online and offline is how yunusa the Muslim boy from the north "kidnapped/abducted" the innocent young christian bayelsa girl called ese from the south. Then I asked you, if this is not disrespect to yunusa's person then what is it? Yunusa has outrightly said he never abducted ESE rather she was the one that willingly followed him to kano. The girl is 14 as you all want everybody to believe. Then why are you not calling for the heads of ese's parents who failed to tell their 14yrs old child that it is very wrong to elope with boys to wherever?

Look young man, nobody is a fool and nobody believed the facade that ese's mother told journalists. Like I outrightly said. If you guys think nobody will stand up and speak/fight for yunusa, then you guys must be joking
i have just two questions for you.....
1. did the parents go to take the girl in Kano and what was the action of Yunusa to them?
2. Does the law allow for you to relocate a minor without the consent of the parents? if no what is it called in law?

I think a minimum of 11 members are needed to form a quorum in state houses of assembly. Only 10 members remain in Rivers state house as the other 11 had their mandates overturned by the courts. Technically speaking, the Rivers state house of assembly shouldn't even be sitting till after the re-runs are conducted.
The word is elected members what is the quorum for 10 members? As it stands now the assemble is made up of only duly elected members so only them can lawfully sit in the house as there can not be a vacuum.

PoliticsRe: PENGASSAN Shuts Another Agency In Petroleum by dazdilijae(op): 7:38am On Mar 02, 2016
Activities at the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority were on Monday grounded as workers of the agency embarked on a three-day warning strike.

The workers, numbering about 100, started the industrial action following the expiration of a 14 days ultimatum handed down to management led by the Director-General, NNRA, Prof. Lawrence Dim.

As early as 7:00am, the workers blocked the entrance to the office of the DG and other Directors and prevented them from entering the premises.

The workers of NNRA, a parastatal under the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, were protesting against alleged lopsided appointments, over-invoicing of contracts, victimisation of union members and non-implementation of Joint Consultative Council agreements.

Armed security operatives were drafted to maintain peace and order in the premises of the NNRA, while some senior directors were seen discussing the issue in hushed tones under the trees outside the agency’s premises.

Several calls and SMS to two telephone lines of the DG to react to the warning strike were not replied.

The chairman, Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, Ifreke Udeme, and his counterpart in National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, Solomon Alkali, in a joint statement read to journalists, directed all zonal workers of the NNRA nationwide to comply with the strike accordingly.

Udeme said, “Armed mobile policemen are being paraded in the office premises at the instance of the management. This is totally unacceptable by the union because the safety of such fire arms inside an office is not guaranteed going by the spate of accidental discharges in the Nigerian Police Force. Therefore, management is required to withdraw policemen with automatic rifles from the office and provide an office for them.

“Available facts indicate that management is involved in the habitual over-invoicing of contracts. We frown at the rate and volume the country is being defrauded by this act, contrary to expectations that the NNRA, in partnership with the PENGASSAN and NUPENG, will be at the forefront of in the anti-corruption campaign of the Federal Government.

“Facts also indicate that in January 2016, management conducted a recruitment exercise. This exercise, in our perception, did not follow due process and procedures as stated in the Public Service Rules, because there was no publication of the recruitment in any of the national dailies as required by law.”

PoliticsPENGASSAN Shuts Another Agency In Petroleum by dazdilijae(op): 4:10pm On Feb 29, 2016
Workers of the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) on Monday commenced a three-day warning strike over alleged poor conditions of service, maladministration, impunity and abuse of office by its management.
The action came at the expiration of a 14-day ultimatum by the NNRA Branch of the Petroleum & Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) to the management to resolve urgent industrial matters bordering on their working conditions.
The chairman of the NNRA PENGASSAN Branch, Ifreke Udeme, said the matters included alleged dictatorial tendencies of the Director General of the agency, Lawrence Dim, insensitive and lackadaisical attitude of management, selective training of staff since 2013 and non-release of the 2015 staff promotion letters.
Other matters include victimization of union officials by denying them training and allowances for participating in the 2014 industrial action, over-invoicing and non-completion of contracts, lopsided recruitment of staff without due process as well as the non-implementation of the joint consultative Council agreement on staff welfare.
Mr. Udeme told the protesting workers in Abuja that the workers had resolved to embark on the protest after the NNRA management failed to honour series of agreements reached on workers’ welfare issues and improved condition of service.
“There have been on-going discussions and agreements with management. But, we have observed that once such agreements were reached, management would take a different decision. A recent agreement by the Joint Consultative Council on staff allowances has not been implemented,” Mr. Udeme said.
He accused the management of unilaterally cutting salaries and allowances without consultation, while resolutions bordering on welfare of staff are never given due attention.

“The union has spoken on several occasions about the dangers of staff going out to conduct inspection without protective gadgets against radiation. The union is also concerned that contracts are awarded, but the items are never supplied, while staff recruitments are conducted without due process in line with the relevant public service rules,” the union leader explained.
The management of the agency as presently constituted, he explained, need urgent administrative restructuring, reconstitution and repositioning by government to enable it achieve its goals.
When contacted for his reaction to the allegation, the embattled Director General, Lawrence Dim, said in a text message that he would only talk after the protest was over and the office was opened.

if you had a brother who was killed in action last year because some people spent the money meant for arms and he couldn't get decent weapons to fight, would you say we should move on?

if it was discovered after office that buhari stole billions of dollars when in office, would you tell us to move on?

answer these questions honestly to yourself. and be guided by your conscience.

all the accused are pointing to Jonathan as the person who gave them the authority and signed for the release of money for diversion, and you say we should just move on?

you said we should build the nation, with what? after looting the treasury?
Please don't get things twisted my friend
1. No one said the alleged crime is right.
2. You can't ascertain if GEJ is culpable or not in the so called $2.1 arms deal
3. The so called arms deal is not the reason 4 the chibok girls missing. Didn't the FME write to Borno state on the safety n security of the school? as long as we don't "provoke" the former president to reveal the names of those we should hold responsible for turning Nigeria, a land of milk and honey into a wilderness.

and if buhari also robs us blind too, we will do well to clap for him, after all it's for our own good and we should let sleeping "goats lay".

that must be how they did it in America and the other western world.

CNN Investigates Why Buhari Dumped $182 Halliburton Bribe Scandal.
JANUARY 16, 2016 BY DURUEBUBE
Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari surely meant well for the Nigerian people. His integrity, discipline and avowed commitment to fight, name and shame corruption had never been in doubt since Nigerians have high hopes in his administration to ‘fight corruption among the elites’, in a bid to free Nigeria’s economy from Kleptomaniac. As it is a fad that “when you fight corruption, surely corruption will fight back,” aptly captures the trending conspiracy of few Nigerian Army Generals (retired) and former Heads of State who allegedly prompted Buhari to ‘let-off’ his earlier, intentional investigation of $182million Halliburton bribe scandal, so he may continually ‘govern Nigeria in peace’.
CNN iReport gathered that few weeks before Buhari made his maiden visit to United States, words reached him that few retired Army Generals who were erstwhile Heads of State were allegedly not happy with the planned moves by the no-nonsense disciplinarian to re-open the Halliburton scandal, with the sole intention to expose, disgrace and prosecute some of culpable generals and other highly-placed Nigerians whose hands may have been ‘soiled’ by the cookie-jar of corruption in Bonny Island Liquefied Natural Gas Project.
As such, after General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), a former Nigeria’s Head of State received a phone call from from General Olusegun Obasanjo, also a former Nigeria’s president where he brought the attention of IBB to the fact that they way Buhari was going about corruption-fight, he would eventually probe the majority of past administration, including IBB era. This position was echoed by another Nigerian Head of State, General Abdusalami Abubakar; which prompted a conspiracy theory to ‘place Buhari in order’. Abdusalami had visited IBB in his Minna Castle in Niger State, there it was concluded that IBB should stylishly pass on their position to Buhari to halt his earlier intended probe of his predecessors.
In a press statement issued by IBB through his media adviser, Prince Kassim Afegbua, it reportedly reads: “On General Buhari, it is not in IBB’s tradition to take up issues with his colleague former president. But, for the purpose of the record, we are conversant with General Buhari’s so-called holier-than-thou-attitude. He is a one-time minister of petroleum and we have good records of his tenure. Secondly, he also presided over Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) which records we also have. We challenge him to come out in clean hands in those two portfolios he headed. Or, we will help him to expose his records of performance during those periods. Those who live in glass houses do not throw stones. General Buhari should be properly guided.”
CNN iReport gathered when intelligence report reached Buhari on the position of these retired Army Generals and former Heads of State, and bearing in mind how mean they can fully engage him in ‘dirty-fight’ which may ridicule him in the eyes of Nigerians and expose his stewardship then as Minister of Petroleum in 1976 that led to the mysterious disappearance of a whooping US $2.8 Billion from Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC account in Midlands Bank, United Kingdom allegedly under his watchful eyes, Buhari quickly made a detour and issued a press statement through Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser, Media & Publicity claiming the investigation of Buhari administration would only be limited to his predecessor, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GEJ, the man who honorably handed peacefully to Buhari on May 28, 2015 at Eagle Square so Nigeria may remain united as an indivisible nation.
For the records, Buhari was appointed Minister of Petroleum in 1976 under the Murtala/Obasanjo administration. Not much is known about any scandals that occured during his tenure as Minister, but there are rumors of the mysterious disappearance of US$2.8 Billion from the NNPC account in Midlands Bank in the United Kingdom, during Buhari’s stewardship. Now that IBB has threatened to expose him, it lends a certain credibility to the rumors indicting Buhari of grand graft.
As if Jonathan knew that this would happen. In the last days of his administration as president in Aso Rock villa on May 27, 2015 during Federal Executive Council valedictory session witnessed by big-wigs of Peoples Democratic Party, he said “Some people are even calling for the probe of the government, but I think in Nigeria, there are a lot of many things that will be probed, very many things, even debts owed by states and debts owed by this country from 1960 up to this time. They say it is Jonathan’s administration that accrued these debts,” Jonathan said.
“I believe that anybody that is coming for probe must also ensure that this probe is extended beyond the Jonathan administration. Otherwise, to me, it will be a witch-hunt. If we are very sincere, it is not only the Jonathan administration that should be probed.”
CNN iReport investigation showed that Jonathan administration may have been singled-out as ‘corrupt government’ due to the fact that he was a minority-leader from Niger-Delta and obviously not a military, but a civilian leader. There are feelers from some Nigerians that this probe may not have happened if Jonathan had been a retired Army General.
For Folu Adewope, an undergraduate of University of Texas Arlington, UTA, her words: “This is obviously a witch-hunt, charade and selective humiliation with ethnic coloration under corruption-guise. I strongly believe this investigation would not have happened if Jonathan had hailed from the North and had been a retired Army General. Why can’t Buhari open the Halliburton scandal, and openly prosecute Obasanjo, Abdusalami, Atiku Abubakar, a former Nigeria’s Vice president and every other corrupt Nigerians named in the scandal. As Nigerians, we are interested in this case.”
Recently on his Facebook wall-page, Femi Adeshina, special aide to the president on media and publicity, said: “It would be a distraction for the President to begin digging into all former administrations, but for a proper take off of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, there is need to look into the immediate past government (Jonathan’s). We are interested in investigating Jonathan’s government to recover stolen funds”.
International Community watch in Disbelief
As at the time of going to the press, members of International Community, particularly the United States government is shocked that Buhari ought not to leave any stone unturned in fighting corruption no matter whose ox is gored. The Halliburton bribery scandal is seen by members of international community as a litmus test for Buhari to prove his desire effectively to combat corruption among the elites in Nigeria.
