Politics › Re: Buhari Will Not Know Peace, If Niger Delta Knows No Peace – Tompolo by dazdilijae(m): 12:23pm On Jan 17, 2016 |
Everyone here is busy picking one side to support ( for or against FG/Tompolo) but no1 sees the political side to this saga. I feel it's beyond jus Tompolo. I see some unseen hand behind the scene pulling the strings I even see top military brass implicated in the renewed hostilities in the ND. I believe it's more political than criminal case. They are using Tompolo's court order to send a message than the country can be made a lawless state. I see a bait to truncated our democracy and who else to use of cause a known outlaw/ warlord. There is crisis in NASS about PMB"s budget, security circles are tensed as their bosses are called in for questioning, with no budget and less oil production the economic dwindles and the mass go against the govt. Even the solders would rebel when their pay/allowances are unpaid and going to the creeks to fight is 50per cent chances of dying. We heard rumours of military intervention jus b4 the elections, recently SLS spoke of the 1966 coup and how it's signs are re-emerging. The political class feel threatened @ the moment for their actions one time or the other, spiritual leaders are saying we should pray for the president. There is more to this than EFCC vs Tompolo We all need to pray for nigeria because I see the wicked forces who have held us down working very hard to cause war for their selfish reason. Please Pray for God's wisdom on the president so he doesn't fall prey to the wicked plans of our enemies. |
Politics › Re: Buhari: Senate’s Claim On Budget 2016 Is Laughable by dazdilijae(m): 10:03am On Jan 15, 2016*. Modified: 10:22am On Jan 15, 2016 |
tuale4u: We should commend d president 4 listening to us on nairaland and Nigeria masses in general for reducing aso rock feeding from 500million naira in d first version to 100Million naira in the new version.
This is better than in d past were president defend 1billion naira for Aso rock feeding
We should commend d president for reducing Car in presidency from 3.4billion in d first version to 340million in the new one. That is 90% drop.
I agree he was not well advised on how to go about it, but it was done with d interest of d masses. But we should focus on end point of the action and not on frivolities PDP are feeding d masses with.
We should understand that Buhari was not under any compulsion to reduce some of those extravagance. He could have ignored d criticism of d masses and leave the waste in d budget. But he listen to us and amended it.
Why is it not an issue in the House of Representative? The Budget was not only given to Senate. The budget was presented to Joint National Assembly. Not to senate alone. House of rep has no issue with d amendment. But criminal Saraki in d senate is trying to over blow it to protect himself from code of conduct tribunal because the supreme court decision is close by on the 5th of February. He is wasting his time. If Saraki thinks he can connive with PDP to blackmail the president into killing the anti-corruption drive of the president, he is making a big mistake .
The Budget has not be signed into law. It has not be approve. So it can be changed or ammended. The president saw an error and chose to correct. He may have been advised wrongly on how to do it, but the overall intention is noble. Nigerians should learn to praise noble things rather than destroying it with useless technicalities and partisanship.
PDP should not be taken seriously because they dont care a bit about Nigeria masses. They only care about protecting thier criminal members and looters.
Next time the president must ensure he prove read every document before making it public to avoid this kind of embarrassment in the future.
As far as i am concern, this whole noise on d budget is due to the fact that the President and Saraki are not in good terms. So senate President is making unneccessary noise about it.
There is no illegality in what d presidency did. No law was broken. He may have missed some protocol in doing it, no single law was broken.
As a member of Nigeria masses, I know when things is done for the interest of d masses. This case is clearly in d interest of d masses. I will rather focus on d nobility of the intention and action of the president, than focus on the technicality which is being overblown out of proportion in d senate by the senate president to protect himself from prosecution.
I have seen both version. They are almost 99% the same. The majoy difference is the reduction in Extravagance in the presidency in the new one.
THE BUDGET WAS SUBMITTED TO BOTH SENATE AND HOUSE OF REP. HOUSE OF REP SPEAKER SAID NOTHING IS MISSING WHY IS SENATE PRESIDENT MAKING ALL THE NOISE. Spin doctor you try but not good enough to brain wash anyone. he who goes to equity must go with clean hands. it's called politics the dirty game. Mr president should learn to be a politician not a military man some things are best discussed than fought. when you want to prove you ve absolute powers you must make sure you do everything according to law or get ambushed as has happened. I don't support the tactics of the senate but the president should just apogees to nigerians cos as simple as you see this act it is an impeachable offence and with the rift between the presidency and the senate (it president) he is in for a long thing. |
Politics › Re: Buhari Implicated In US Bribery Scandal. US Senator Sentenced To 13 Years by dazdilijae(m): 11:39pm On Jan 12, 2016 |
coolscott: [size=13pt]I was a bit surprised when I viewed the sentencing of a US senator (William Jefferson) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_J._Jefferson implicated in a bribery scandal in which his agreement to bribe our then vice president became revealed. You can still find the sentencing file hosted on the US Department of Justice's site.
What was really surprising was the citing of exhibits 36-87 revealing wire transfers from a Nigerian account in the name of Aisha Buhari to the account of ANJ Group LLC, identifying the American senator as the beneficiary.
This lends credit to the allegations of missing $2.8billion dollars under Buhari's watch in 1983
It also I believe explains why Buhari found it okay to serve under the Abacha administration and eventually say after Abacha passed away, that "Abacha never stole".
It is his public declaration that Abacha never stole combined with the fact that he served under Abacha that raised serious red flags in my mind about him. Why would anyone (especially one who served under Abacha) make such a declaration? It stands to reason that the only reason he would say that is that he had very strong reasons for which he would want us to believe that statement. And I make bold to say that those reasons are almost certainly self-protective.
As I write this, it occurs to me that the man (Buhari) does not really respect Nigerians at all. Or else how could he have declared such a feeble lie, expecting anyone to believe it?
Anyway, this is the link to the US Department of Justice-hosted sentencing implicating Aisha Buhari in the Criminal Fraud case of William Jefferson, now serving his term in the US:

freeze001: It is not a state office in the sense u have portrayed here. The EFCC is a federal government agency and a petition submitted at its remote office is deemed sufficient service to the entire organisation.
It is not the business of the petitioner to bother about whether it has reached Magu's table or not. The offices are for administrative convenience and do not suggest any kind of autonomy that limits its functions to any one state. In other words, it is a federal office only located in Rivers State. Don't mind the Olodo it's is like saying INEC in PH is a state office so does not have the same powers like Abuja or the REC reports to the state governor |

Hav u heard of such name Iyoyo among names of popular ex-militant leaders bfor e.g Tompolo, Boyloaf, Ateke Tom, Asari Dokubo, Afri? Did you hear of Tompolo before 2010? There are a lot of unknown war lords in the creeks waiting for an avenue to become the next Tom, Asari or Tompolo so be deserving yourself that cause you stay in PH, Uyo or Yenegoa you know shit about the creeks. I don't belief in biafra but I belief in a multi-party state. My take is the south south is PDP so same way APC is using state organs to fight opposition, the PDP might be using their militant to mak the country "ungovernable" jus like APC did 2 them but being smart by turning the game so the law is by them both ways after all APC disobeyed court orders so use that to break the law too and the APC govt is legally bound to suffer worst as no money, no stability, loss of power immediately tru military or in 2019 by election.
