Gbawe:
Did those even tougher and more influential than you not make worse threats than this before the election? If I recall correctly they threatened to "ground" and "destroy" Nigeria if GEJ did not get a second term. What is the reality today? No one takes you lot seriously any more. Least of all not Buhari and he is showing this everyday by acting rather than talking emptily as you and your fellow braggarts are fond of doing.
I do not say this on my own powers but on the grounds that no other president has ever been arrested for all the crimes they committed in Nigeria which is far worst than his not even the present PMB as a dictator after he was thrown out of office in 1983 till date.
The fact that we talk so freely of his is because of the FOI bill he signed so he CAN NOT be arrested not even dreamt of cos it would destroy Nigeria trust me.
If you doubt me let the government try it bayelsa elections is just a smile in the wailing Nigeria would experience
PoliticsRe: Why I Refused To Honour Efcc’s Invitation – Tompolo by dazdilijae(m): 5:23pm On Dec 13, 2015
oluamid:
I understand the need to brag that he his untouchable and all. However, let me tell you some home truths.

The reason the Niger Delta agitations were previously successful is simple. They won the sympathy of other Nigerians, ie, other Nigerians were even fighting the FG on their behalf cos of the atrocities that were committed in the ND in the name of extracting oil.

However, that public goodwill is no longer there since Nigerians now know that the militants were only doing it for the money they can get in their accounts. Start another militancy and most Nigerians will demonize them giving the military the excuse they need to actually deal with the menace once and for all. I'll have you know that the people who will suffer at the end of the day will be ordinary Niger-Deltans who would become IDPs just like what is going on in the North East today.

Tompolo may seem untouchable today, but I assure you, he's not above the Nigerian constitution. All that is required is for the DSS to be interested in his case and he's as good as being behind bars. All this braggadocio is stunt pulling. Don't be fooled.

The question we should ask him is if truly there is any truth in what he's being accused of and not this deflecting to APC ish.

If you have nothing to hide I don't see why you can't answer EFCC invitation instead of claiming to be the Lord of the Manor.

PS: Please stop mentioning Buhari in the same sentence with Tompolo. Buhari is the President of Nigeria and that office demands every iota of respect. Please what position does mr Government hold?
Please don't get it twisted you so called other nigerians support didn't bring about the amnesty nor the call for peace so let that be known
The degradation has not stopped till date so the situation has not ended but for your infomation Tompolo is one of the few people holding back the resumption of hostilities and arresting him would be going back to 2006 when he's likes became commanders because the younger unknown group would take his place to try to be another Tompolo because the issues he used to raise are still on ground.
Buhari is a man before he is the president and unfortunately his like defaced the office of the President in abid to take over power not minding the consequences so please before you tell me respect wait for the next president cos this one total doesn't deserve it due to him and his party's out burst @ the same office.
I am not saying he is untouchable but that the rule of law should be followed the Govt can't disobey the law but expect it's citizens to obey it. The EFCC law allows for it to sue and be sued. So the EFCC can mot ignor his suit and then invite him using the power of the same law.

The creeks are still part of nigeria the last time I checked so the EFCC or govt should go and arrest him there after all they carried their duties there during bayelsa elections in the same creeks.

Buhari only asked the CBN to perform its function as the "lender of last resort."Or don't you know that the bail-out fund was given as a loan?
Does the CBN have monies of its own to loan out? Who's monies where loaned out? What constitutional provisions does the president ve to order the CBN to do so?

You illiterates keep regurgitating the same line over and over as if whatever you're spewing is correct.

FYI, a part of the bail out money was meant to be shared by all federating states and the other part is a loan from CBN to be paid back at low interest. Please get enlightened.
The part to be shared by federating states you ve said was it shared by all the states? What are the modalities for sharing such monies? Was it followed? Is it constitutional?
You claim to be educated and quick to call others illeterats when in actual sense the reverse is the case
Please shut your trap if you don't know how to respond. Mr. ITK

Though you are right, but bailout fund was released officially and it been announced by fg infact evrybody is aware of it, its almost accepted by 70% of Nigerians and stakeholders, paid with cheque and other laid down proceedures, but who knew about $2b or talk about it before it been released to d h@tless man, Dasuki werey? except d wereycious benefactors.
So it boils back to the fact that the call for arrest is unwarranted as you can't accuse someone of a crime you are also committing. Be it publicised or not, and how do you khow the percentage that accepted it?
Okonjo was following directive and that is it.

Bail out are loans given to state govt and repayment spread over a longer period . Get this clear.
Okonjo said the release was a loan so if PMB could order a loan out with appropriation the there is no grounds to call for arrest on the same action by the past admin

The Buhari bail-out funds (which was a loan) was publicised, the amount known and the purpose understood.
Can the same be said about the Jonathan/Okonjo/Emefiele licentous withdrawals?
You didn't answer if it was appropriated because that is the ground for expenditure not an order so if it is okey for Buhari to order that and get away with. It then no can hold the last administration for doing same

The law is for every1 big or small, minister or president.
PoliticsRe: Pictures From Shiites-Army Clash In Zaria, Many Feared Dead by dazdilijae(m):
GspotAngela:
Last Year, soldiers from the 176 Special Forces Battalion, the special operations element of the Brigade of Guards, killed three of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky's son. Few weeks ago, Boko Haram insurgents detonated a suicide bomb during their procession, killing several memebers of the Islamic Movement.

Let it be known, that the Shi'a in Nigeria have been victim of government and insurgent repression from the days of the regime of late General Sani Abacha. Today, they have been extra judicially killed again by the NA under a flimsy excuse of an attempted assasination of the COAS

The major violent clash the shi'a were involved in was between them and Izala Moslems in Nigeria few years ago which was precipitated by Shi'a practise of cursing Aisha(RA) and the companions of the Prophet(SWA), a practise that has been condemned by the Supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Sayyid Khomeni, in one of his fatwas.
Truly in all my years in the north and zaria these group of Muslims have been very peaceful and law abiding. The true story of this clash would be revealed in due course because I don't see what the leader would benefit from ordering the assassination of the COAS
Till this moment gun shots still heard in the air.( 6.40am)
However this clash leaves a lot to worry because the amount of gun shots heard can not be one sided knowing the NA in Zaria @least so it's obvious the shiite have been stock pilling arms and ammunition for God know what reason. We are in for difficult times in this country and May God help Naija.

[quote author=madjnr post=40954494. Both subordinates knew or ought to know that the orders they were obeying were illegal and should have refused to comply.[/quote]I have just one question foe you and please think properly before you answer it.
If buhari orders the former ministers arrest on account of the above won't he be shooting himself on the foot cos he also directed the disbursement of Bail out fund to states without National Assembly's appropriation.

Shiite in kano? Even in Zaria there are shiites in samaru and Zaria city but the people who had the clash with the NA was a particular group of followers so when a government arm is giving out news it should be specific unless there are untold stories the. PoliticsRe: Why I Refused To Honour Efcc’s Invitation – Tompolo by dazdilijae(m): 12:04am On Dec 13, 2015
When I read comments here it gives worries the kind of people we are as a country. I said in the other trend which claimed Tompolo was hinding in bayelsa that our Govt does nt play by the rules but expect the citizens 2 obey the rules. In develope countries not even the president breaks the law and goes free. He has clarified it here that his account was frozen and he sue the Govt for the action but rather than respond they are inviting him 2 Lag same way OBJ invited. Asari 2 Abj then the rest was story? The Gov should respond to his lawyers and follow the rule of law nt a different set of rules 4 different occasions.
The same FG is say Okonjo Iwella released Abachas loot without appropriation but forget it also released bail out fund without appropriation too. All this media justice is to divert attention to their lack of preparedness to the task @ hand but 2016 is some days away and the ball would start rolling then we would see who is whom the shielded thief called noise makers or the prosecuted thief in. Custody.
Since August EFCC didn't invite Tompolo after freezing his accounts but when APC now sees it can't win Bayelsa even with their so called federal might they are inviting Tompolo 4 land he sold to FG (hahahahahahahahahaha) I laugh in Ijaw. He has told ya all he is in Bayelsa so if the FG has guts as ya all trying to insinuate on this trend (New sheriff on the block, bla bla bla) it should go to bayelsa and arrest Tompolo or let's be clear on the matter come and rig the bayelsa elections for APC let's see
Non sense noise makers as their so called new sheriff would say.

Wisdom they say is profitable to the wise.
Which sane man would willingly walk into a trap? Nnamdi Kalu walked into their trap and they are showing they don't obey the law even when he was granted bail.
With Tompolo in the creeks the FG dares not try an arrest in the creeks cause the consequences is clear, the bayelsa elections ihas charged the environment so they can't afford a divided nigeria. If the Niger Delta starts then IPOB would over run Nigeria in a clean sleep. No nation not even USA can fight 3 ways with 1 being economic sabotage. A free man can better fight his case than a caged man.
His lawyers would discuss with the law while he prepares himself for eventualities cos it is clear there is a plot to subdue the Ijaw nation but our silence would soon be seen as patience nt cowardice

@snailspeed
The Nigerian educational system is bad, but it isn't as bad as we might want to paint it. The irony of the matter you raised and your accusations of the other lad is that you aren't actually as smart as you think you are. Next time, you should slow down on the insults and seek for understanding before you proceed to attack people's intelligence and expose your own ignorance.

Now to the topic, Channels TV obviously did not present the results in a clear enough manner for people who aren't too intelligent to understand, so neither you nor the people you insulted can be blamed here. Now a little explanation:

Total Valid Votes = 459,983
Total Rejected Votes = 21,351
Total Votes Cast = [Valid Votes] + [Rejected Votes] = 481,334

After elections, results in some areas were cancelled...
Total Cancelled Votes = 49,953

Now this 49,953 cancelled votes are a part of the Total Valid Votes (481,334). So using simple arithmetic approach, we should be subtracting the 49,953 from the Total Valid Votes and not adding it to arrive at 531,287 (like Channels TV has done). I hope I am clear enough?
If I m not mistaken INEC declared the following figures:

APC. - 264851
PDP. - 199480
Total valid votes -. 459983
Rejected votes. -. 21351
If you add APC + PDP votes alone you get more than the valid votes stated here.
Also the cancelled vote can only take place when actual voting has occured which requires accreditation so any way you look at it INEC has a faulty election result
I guess they saw it and decided to label it inconclusive
