People...open your eyes and read! The security personnel were approved since 2009 by Late Umaru Y'aradua. Una no go die on top Jonathan matter o!
I do hope the disgusting practice of assigning security personnel paid by public funds to serve as body guards for private individuals is discontinued quickly. It is disgraceful!
Approved by Yaradua but sustained by Jonathan.

PoliticsRe: Cash Crunch Hits APC As Buhari Advises Party To Look Inward For Funding by Dbakre1: 2:13pm On Jan 17, 2016
it is good to criticize politicians and their activities for better Nigeria, it is also good to acknowledge if a few people are taking some right steps.
since no political party can survive without funding, it becomes imperative that leaders of a party fashion out how this can be realized, without any illegal acts...part of such consultations, I guess, was the visit Oyegun and co. to a member of their party, who happens to be the President. we need not be told that the APC is aware they're being watched, especially with the situation at hand now.
Members will contribute Nationwide, both in term of Membership commitments and voluntary donations. Political Office holders, including Buhari himself, APC Governors and their legislators will contribute individually too. Also, friends and sympathisers of the APC Government at all level will give them money.
All they need to do is coordinate fund raising events.

I know this area very well, and don't think the flood is as a result of any leakage. What we are witnessing is nature in its true sense as most of the area were sand-filled and converted to residential areas. The place was naturally meant to be a river. I pray tsunami will not visit lekki inhabitants someday.

doctokwus:
Just like in every sensitive aspect of our national life,it takes a man of strong will to abolish d programme.
Apart from d abuse and inherent corruption in d programme( fictitious names, over bloated figures of beneficiaries etc),some genuine ex militants where not captured while many ss youths and even non youths, saw it as another government largesse to which they are all entitled.
It thus bred almost another ministry or agency of its own and d result is what we have today: as more monies were paid to more beneficiaries, instead of militancy in d creeks decreasing, it has been on d increase.
It must stop for this nation to move forward.
I suggest that rather such funds b invested in infrastructural development of d region, aggressive environmental protection schemes, bursaries to genuine undergraduates from d region, but most importantly guaranteed and genuine credit loan schemes with standard and full proof measures of repayment. When more people from d region have access to loans with a good infrastural base, they would b more productive and in d long run actually go against d present system that "dashes out" money to a few, neglects d vast majority, while enormously corruptly enriching a tiny fraction.
Buhari must end it.
VERY MUCH ON POINT, MAY GOD BE WITH YOU TRUE NIGERIAN.

They were told but refused to be sensible. Even Tony Okoroji, former PMAN president condemned the appointment but they didn't listen.

With all the terrible things he told the world about gej prior, even if he came back to PDP, it was very unwise to have made him image maker. Thinking people didn't take him seriously. How can you take an adult who gleefully tells the world how much sexx he had with another man's wife seriously?

Jona was very naive and the hawks around him sucked him (and the nations treasury) dry. They knew the game was up but decided to make as much as they could from him before jega put the final nail in the coffin.

PoliticsRe: Election Results With Pictures by Dbakre1: 2:02pm On Mar 29, 2015
The voting pattern in Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections across the country showed a close race between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in some states, while there were wide margins between the two parties in several other states across geo-polical zones. Early results from some polling units also showed a lot of surprises as some prominent politicians could not deliver their polling units and in some cases, wards to their respective parties. Counting was ongoing in several polling units in the early hours on Sunday.

In Kano, Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau, PDP gubernatorial candidate, Salihu Sagir Takai, Senator Bashir Lado, and Presidential aide, Hajia Baraka Sani, could not deliver their Kawaji ward as APC won the presidential and National Assembly elections there. In the presidential election, APC scored 514 while PDP got 15 votes. APC got 442 votes in the Senatorial election while PDP got 84. In the House of Representatives election in the ward, APC got 474 while PDP got 47. Also, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali, lost his polling unit to APC. While PDP scored 18, APC scored 137 in his polling unit in Nasarawa local government. In Race Course polling unit 067, APC scored 292 votes, PDP got 13, while in Hotoro South Ward 6, APC scored 249, PDP 6. It was also gathered last night that Governor Rabiu Kwakwanso was in early lead in his constituency in Madobi local government where he is contesting for Kano Central Senatorial District.

In Gidan Ja'oje Ward Gidan Kara in Wamakko local government area of Sokoto State, Governor Wamakko‘s ward, APC won the presidential election recording 534 votes as against PDP’s 6 votes. The party also recorded 524 votes in the Senatorial election while PDP got 9 votes. In that same ward, APC got 513 votes in the House of Representatives election while PDP got 13.

In Edo State, President Jonathan was clearly leading his APC rival Gen. Buhari. PDP was leading in Edo South and Edo Central Senatorial Districts. In Edo North Senatorial District, home to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, APC and PDP were running neck-to-neck. Collation of results was ongoing in the early hours of Sunday.

In APC, candidate Muhammadu Buhari’s Sarikin-Yara polling unit in Katsina state, APC scored 499 votes while PDP scored 0 in the presidential election.
Three votes were voided. For the Senate at that polling unit, APC got 478, PDP 18, PDM 3, while three votes were voided. APC scored 500, PDP scored 1, and APGA 1 in the House of Representatives election in that polling unit.
Vice President Namadi Sambo also delivered his new polling unit, Swimming Pool Road/ Police Gate (011) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Presidential and National Assembly election.

The presiding officer of the polling station, Mr. Olorunfemi Raphael, who announced the result said the PDP polled 105 in the presidential election in the polling unit while APC polled 20 votes.

Although Sambo's polling unit used to be at the Camp road polling unit 5, no reason was given for his decision to vote at the Swimming Pool Road/ Police Gate (011) polling unit.

He was initially expected to vote at Camp Road polling unit 6, but it was later moved to the Police gate where he and his wife, Amina voted.
