TBills is better than Mutual Fund if you know that you can afford to keep money away for reasonable amount of time. Mutual Funds managers often invest in TBills among others.

Open a FBN or STANBICIBTC account, with at least N100k you begin to invest in FGN TBills.

Please I have assumed that your proposed investment amount is at least N100k.
Thank you sir

It's been a while I did TB. I migrated to the more risky commercial papers instead because of the low rate.

However, I was maximizing my TB and MMF in 2 ways. For TB I do majorly re-investment of the interest in the same auction. If it is pro-rated or they mistakenly did not investment the interest, I will just move it to another investment option which is could be MMF or savings bond which gives me better rate. I like MMF more because it gives me some form of liquidity. It allows me move money faster than the rest.

For MMF too I do choose reinvestment of interest when subscribing. So that when it's time instead of paying the interest and removing WHT. It is better reinvested. Then you will not have to pay any tax and you can withdraw at will depending on your asset manager. Then I also use MMF as a means of gathering my loose change (small money) to gain gain small weight before I put it in another vehicles that I see as more profitable and requires more capital.

As for, that's why I open as many accounts as I can and time permits me to. I have about 7 banks accounts. Not because I have money in them but because I don't want to be tied when I need them for issues like this.

Banks like First Bank, Stanbic IBTC and GT the far distant 3rd are more TB friendly from my personal past experience. Access is poor. Either primary or secondary market you should get better rates from them than access. From my own experience, access is only good in frivolous charges. Nothing more.

Then, there is standard Chartered Bank that also is seamless. Once you have their app. Activate the investment section of it where you can see their rates on TB, Bonds and several mutual funds. Their daily rates are displayed in the portal for you to confirmation except where they have non available or the network is bad.
Thank you sir

Oga sir, questions are better asked here for us to all learn and contribute even when the person it is directed to has limited knowledge. Other members with more knowledge can contribute.

However, if you still want to discuss with me, you can use the email on my profile.

Regards.
.

Sir, I will just like to know how best to maximise profit either through treasury bills or mutual funds.

Also, I took a break from treasury bills while the rates was low....Now I realise that the rates you get from secondary buy is way lower from the government rates from the primary auction(access bank particularly).....and they dont even know if i could put in for the primary auctions...I will like to know what banks you know and use for bills where one can put in for the primary auctions....and if there is a branch of access bank I could put in through.... Thank you sir.

Greedy and selfish drivers everywhere.....they have taken over the thread....Gone are the days of Ogunvic and Romeo of blessed memories...gingering drivers and encouraging partners.....then somehow mistakenly ruining investors....lol.....everyone had their share in the business....now it's all greedy drivers who bully everyone with a dissenting opinion...
Yes...jpworld sound harsh and depicts a lack of compassion... but some drivers response here is worse...It seems partners are meant to be father Christmas or something...like let's be open with each other...no one here is rich( except for bosses like Gazzuzz, Radautoworks, Carshopper, some silent billionaires and dru23 who still cant drive a car...lol)....everyone is looking for money....to be rich and comfortable....

Let's have the fear of God in whatever we do....we all have to do better.....#Uberpartnerslivesmatter

There was a big argument some time back where it was established that "partners" referred to the relationship between UBER and DRIVERS. I share with you the inaugural post as well from the originator. This is not for relationship between lessor and driver. A separate thread will be great for that as that is another can of worms ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dis PIKIN don come again. Leave my phone na grin
He or she is right though...however the thread is for both partners and drivers....ehailing drivers are called driver partners....while dru23 is just a partner since he cant drive....

We no even know what to believe anymore.
Within the space of 1year, you were struggling to pay 350k rent, moved from driving for a partner on rental to own a car .
At a point, you left Lagos and said you weren't coming back because of the stress and low earnings on e hailing.
But now, you're back, not only that, you are a partner collecting 25k weekly with another 6million naira fish farm investments.
The guy na comic relief....lol

I suppose you read my post very well, I said I have no experience in this line.
You didn't have to answer sarcastically. Something like "It's the rainy season and not the best time to invest" would have been better.
I would have appreciated your answer the more. undecided
No vex bro....but he has told you the truth in his own language...dont put your money in ehailing atleast for now....

My 2 million naira advice...

he wants to be driving it , from ikorodu to d island . he goes to the island everyday .
see bro...the only logical thing is to ask for a mutual termination...that way you get your 100k back....
The only right you have to the car is your weekly payments....so unless you plan to keep paying him while the car is parked in your house...
You cant tell him not to use his property and you cant seize his key either....but You can ask him for termination since he wants to use the car....or you tell him to deduct your weekly pay for the periods he has the car for....which wont happen...
So if you are not paying for obvious reasons...return his car....and ask for your 100k.....
After the lock down....you can sit down with him and renegotiate....You can even beat the price down by claiming the car is not Tokunbo...since it has been used....

shollywendy1:
Sir, what i believe is that, the owner is right to get his/her car in her/his custody at the period. It is not proper using the car as the continous driving, wearing and tearing of the car engine and other will surely devalue the car.
The toks condition of the car is what the driver is paying for weekly. As the remittance is on hold as a result of the general lockdown, business as well as the agreement too should be on hold.
Anything that make the owner to drive the car behind the driver will surely make the amount slashed on the HP agreement to be reduced as the value is reducing as he ( owner) drives it.
My opinion though i may be wrong
You are right....but the owner of the car can use the car...so far the man isn't paying his dues on the car....we know it isn't his fault at this point...but no one thought we would be in this situation...
But let's be honest....the owner of the car...or say hirer....wont be driving the car in this period....where will he be driving to....am sure he just wants to park the car in his compound...at least to be sure his car is safe...
But if he used the car....the hirer could renegotiate after the lock down base on the condition of the car then....
Am sure both the hirer and hiree....have their exit clause in the contracts signed...
so if he isn't pleased with the condition of the car...he can activate the clause....

peeps4u:
Truth be told, you got yourself in this mess by failing to return the car on time and even proposing to approach him for a reduced weekly remittance during the earlier days LASG announced closure of activities, things were already moving slow that time.
You shouldn't have waited for the hirer to ask for the car before woukd request from your him to bring the car or you still hold it. In this period of lockdown, the car is supposed to be with the hirer unless he allows you hold it.

He could even lay claim to the week you have the car with you without working unless he permits you to have the car with you till now.

God bless
exactly......nothing to add....

It is wrong for him to use it. The more he uses it, the more it devalues. I think it is better you park the car at his house and u have the key or vise versa or let him know why the car should be parked in his house without being touched.

If he doesn't agree, he should return your 150k.

It is wrong for him to use the car, he can collect the car and have it parked at his house but not to be used as it is not entirely his car so far it is still under contract.

My opinion.
How is it wrong for him to use his carhuh...Is the man paying him now amidst this lockdownhuh...so how exactly is it wrong for the owner of a car to use his own car...huh...
Since you cant pay up for obvious reasons.....Y cant the owner of the car use it...am sure his contract didn't envisage the issues we have now....but if it did...well...

3m kill am there. That's too outrageous bro.
lol...too outrageous...huh.....let me break it down for you just incase:
You need at least 1.5million naira to get a toks Toyota Corolla 2005 if you are bringing it in yourself...
If you are buying it here...you need at least 1.7million naira....

comprehensive insurance..... around 65000 (axamansard)
Tracker.....25 to 30k....
Car registration......45 to 50k....
miscellaneous.....5k
Total......around 130k......for the first year...
For the second year....
renewal.......around 15k......
comprehensive insurance.....around 65k.....axamansard.....
Total around 80k....

Sum total......if you bring it in yourself....around 1.7million...
If not.....then around 2million....

See....he is not even making up to 50 percent annually for his investment.....and the truth is he will not get back his money at the stipulated time....

So please before some peeps start cursing out investors....you need to fantom the amount of risk they are taking in investing their capitals in this venture....

3million naira might be high but not outrageous...people make more than triple of that investing in less risky businesses....

Agents have encroached the thread looking for ways to extort hardworking drivers.....
Listen, If you have any issue with Uber and co...Take them to court...they are not running...they have physical addresses....They have representatives....
Uber must pay for operational licenses.....engage them....Uber drivers registered with TIN....I suppose that is the governments share....
But if you need drivers to pay for some permits then you must provide them with riders...
Give them parks to pick riders from.....All taxis have designated parks... Uber has none....
there is no law prohibiting private car owners from giving people a lift....Unless you will need to draft one....
Will you arrest all Corolla drivers you see on the road for hackney....huh...or you will dictate to car owners where their riders can seat in their own cars...huh....
will you empower VIO to search people's phoneshuh
Unless a driver parks in your parks looking for riders then how exactly do you think you could enforce this...huh...
Without Uber apps , uber drivers cant work....so if you have any issue with Uber...go after them....
Create a government owned kind of ehailing apps...then require all kinds of permits to drive on it...
God help VIO officials , start harassing car owners and you will realise not everyone driving corollas are uber drivers.....he go too sweet....
