Dami12345:

Really. Are you so inhuman to deny a dying man his last request?.
The reason is simple, its so that the dying man may not have so much bad emotion against his killers that way they dont have karma visit them.

Also so that he will go gently into the night and not fight all the way.
You do know most of those dying men,are killers right ..
You do know d inhuman treatment they give to their victims before they finally finish dem up ...
So why should they be extended such courtesy ...

Dear Nairalanders,if you were given the opportunity to delete one thing from our world today, what would it be and why .

Mine will be religion, religion has done more harm than good in our world today .especially Muslims killings and bombing,Christianity brainwashing their gullible followers and taking the little money they have from them .

So what about you guys, what would yours be ?

Programming / Golden Rules Of Programming by Dboy55(m): 8:21pm On Jan 23, 2019
1. Make sure you understand the problem you’re trying to solve.

2. Prioritize clarity and correctness. Performance is less important, and cleverness is to be avoided.

3.If your code needs comments to be understood, it’s over-complicated.

4.Always comment your code, or at least your modules.
Extensibility and reusability are over-rated.

5. Don’t innovate security. Use well-established security libraries.

6.If you haven’t tested it, it probably doesn’t work.

7.If you have time to ‘go back and fix it later’ you’ve got bigger problems in your job.

8.Integrated Development Environments (like VisualStudio) and the internet (e.g. StackOverflow) are the best friends a coder could ever have.

9.printf is the world’s simplest debugger.

Travel / Re: I'm Traveling To London, Follow Me On My Journey..... by Dboy55(m): 8:21pm On Jan 23, 2019
Olalekank:

It's cool, start working on something, work on a couple of projects, say 2 or 3 probably before the end of first year.

By doing this, you have a high chance of getting internships, there'd be postings on Twitter for interns from time to time. Follow the right people and make the right connections, connections that you can always talk to when you need an internship.
Speaking of following the right people on Twitter, can you list some great peeps I can follow on Twitter.

Olalekank:

Hey there, I don't know the possibilities of getting internships in Benin as you stated but you if you reside in Lagos, you can apply to some during holiday breaks.

Start learning how to cold mail companies you might be interested in, you land some and you don't land some.

I have a friend who got internship through this means.

Another strong recommendation is for you to start preparation for Goldman Sachs early by going to Hackerrank.com to learn how to solve problems programmatically, read up on running time and how to optimize your algorithms. I applied for GS internship this year and we had to take an online test on Hackerank.

As for the pay, you'd be paid armed robber salary. The two guys in my department who went to London can testify to this.

Strive to get it! You think you might have time but there's little time.
Good luck man, don't forget to get active on Twitter and follow the right people to know when internship opportunities pop up.
I just got admission into CSC 100level,I'm also in Benin. Also .
How do I start preparing for these internships ?
