sarzy: If that's true, do you need anyone to tell you that, that was caused by strike? Remember, there are two major strikes that affect Nigerian universities- ASUU and internecine strikes. Hope you understand? I know that. Nope. I already did. |

ebsuguy: The question is asking you to discuss the pathogenesis of polio viral infection and also the mechanism of formation of a specific immunity against a specific pathogen secondary to infection. 1.Musa was infected with the polio virus through the oral pharynx or respiratory tract. After viral replication in the oropharynx and small intestine(esp.within the lymphoid tissue),the virus spreads through the blood stream to the CNS.this it can also do by retrograde movement along the nerve axons. In the CNS,the virus preferentially replicate in the motor neuron located in the anterior horn of the spinal cord. This leads to the death of this cells which inturn leads to the paralysis of musa' muscles innervated by these neurons. 2.Abubakar was not paralysed because he received the salk(killed) or the sabin(life attenuated) vaccine which induced humoral antibodies production against the polio virus.During the epidemic, these antibodies neutralized the virus that entered the blood.hence, preventing them from causing CNS infection and disease. Baba stuff!!! |

Adewunmi84: Good afternoon doctors in the house. My wife is four months pregnant now and before now she have been taking milo with peak milk but 2 days ago,her nurses at the ante natal told her she s hould stop taking milo and switch to lipton t ea.Today, she have started taking the yellow label lipton tea but I just discovered she have started vomitting. She vomitted the food she took this morning and moreso I think lipton tea could make her slim down and reduce in weight which I don't want.I have consulted google and I discovered some women took milo throughout their pregnancy period and nothing bad happened to them or the baby. And what I read about lipton tea that it can cause miscarriage if taken too much is not encouraging.please, can she switch back to milo and continue taking it everyday?thanks Milk intake makes the baby to grow bigger than normal in the womb. |
