So from MBBS to BDS... now it's the lucrativeness and job opportunities, although there are job opportunities. My friend better follow your dreams and keep those things aside, they should come last. As a dental surgeon you'll be contented but it is not lucrative. You can go for petrochemical engineering or aviation if it's money you want. Study dentistry for the passion and love you have for it, because you want to put smiles on people's faces, never you study something for the money in it, so far there's no money in medicine and dentistry as other professions.
Make your passion your profession

You can also further your studies and get an MSc, PhD...

There's no need to be scared, things are getting better, I can assure you that peace is here. Many students from other parts of Nigeria are here in numbers. If your result is good and commendable you'll be admitted, no doubt about it, but you gotta pray. And no entrance exams are taken, we don't even do putme here.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has signed 40, 000 certificates since he assumed office about a year ago.

According to reports, Njodi who resumed as Vice Chancellor of the North Eastern University on the 3rd of June 2014, inherited 10 decades of unsigned certificates.

An unnamed source quoted in several reports said "the backlog stretches as far back as one decade" and has left many graduates stranded in the labour market.

An academic staff quoted by Leadership said Prof Njodi has unified the university's once-chaotic academic calendar.

"Do you know that before the arrival of Prof Njodi as VC, our graduates could not collect their hard-earned certificates even after many years of graduation?

"But Njodi has reversed all that rot.

"He has signed so many certificates: I know, because some of my former students visited me after collecting their precious certificates."

Members of the university community are hopeful that the Vice Chancellor will continue running the institution with such efficiency.

"Unimaidtalk wish to Commend our own Hero for the laudable achievement. We are happy that every graduate of Unimaid will happily have his/her certificate come Nov 26.

As long as u have an MBBS/BDS and you are a specialist,you can become a CMD.
