when it comes to admission process medicine is more competitive than dentistry.
But to me in real sense of it medicine and dentistry are the same.
Both of them undergo internship, and residency. The same level of pay and other lot of things.
The bolded is enough. I know the rest, so far d rest doesn't answer my question

Passing an exam is by Gods grace. Its very rare and i mean it RARE for someone to score low in jamb and score very high in postume. The post ume most times is a reflection of jamb score.Tension could be a cause for someone not doing too well in any of them and doing well in the other.
Someone that scored high in post ume might not be the brightest but he was favoured to get the right materials
Aggregate is far fairer.
It's not rare

They said, those who are yet to go for HO and are not yet registered fully with MDCN would hence forth not be mobilised.
.
I think its only for Medicine.
Great. Why do you think it's only for medicine? So dental surgeons aren't doctors? or dey ain't part of MDCN?

Well, is this age not kinda old to start medicinehuh?
.
.
When would the said person graduate?
When would the person even do NYSC(If NYSC is still mobilised for Medicine graduates).
During NYSC @29(if at all, Medicine students still get mobilised), isnt it damn oldhuh??
Being a Doctor @30, isnt it something elsehuh?
.
Or should the person continue with the present course of studyhuh?
.
Oya everybody answer.
Make your passion your profession. Some even start medical school @ 30,so it ain't somewhat old starting. Just aim @ finishing well.

Yes
Nope. There aren't. The only undergraduate degree programme is BDS. There are also post graduate degree programmes, but that's for further research and specialization.

pls,to all medical students on this forum, your views and opinions are highly needed on this issue..There's this new medical school situated at ondo state named ondo state university of medical sciences which is currently admitting students into bsc programs in Anatomy, physiology and biochem.BDS and MBBS..I've just applied for mbbs and also contemplating on taking jamb form .But,the problem here is the issue of accreditation o by MDCN which we all know is more stringent. considering the fact the that I'm already a student of the university of benin but still passionate of the medical profession and not being ignorant of what non accreditation could result to,I hereby seek the advice of you guys because I'm confused right now..thanks in anticipation!!
Baba take jamb ooo, don't just rely on one choice. You see like me last year I applied for a medical school, a dental school(I sat for both PPT and CBT in jamb), and remedial programme at the same time. Doing so, I later got to choose between em cos admission was coming double double. Was given Physiology in ABU(because d jamb score was low) and I got Dental Surgery in Unimaid. So I'll advise you not to take chances like some who are regretting what they should have done. Goodluck!

It's not that easy to just cross over to such demanding courses... but would be smooth if you have an ally in the court

I put in Medicine as my first choice and Dentistry as my second choice.I scored 60% As my aggregrate score in the 2015 Post-utme exam and i was offered admission to study Health Education in the Faculty of Education in Uniben. My question is,is there any chance of me being able to switch to another faculty like Pharmacy,Basic Medical Science or even Medicine? Please guys your opinions would be much appreciated.
