PoliticsRe: Bulletproof Cars: Oduah Ordered Six, Not Two Cars by dbride: 9:44pm On Oct 31, 2013
waternogetenemy: Sahara Fake News...

In a civilised world they will allow the appropriate authority confirm allegation before publishing them as fact.

Some reporters need school of journalism.
Yes you are right, journalism in the JUNGLE can never be the same as journalism in the CIVILISED world; in a civilised world Stella would have long stepped aside or resigned. In the jungle, like Nigeria, thieves steal and are defended by his kinsmen so journalists also devised ways of opening cans of worms. In fact with people like Stella and you, we might remain in the jungle for a long time.

BTW, I see you like the civilised world, note in that CIVILISED WORLD no sane person defends corruption.
PoliticsRe: Stella Oduah Armoured Car Scandal House Committee Hearing (2) – Live Update by dbride: 3:21pm On Oct 31, 2013
She also approved 4 armoured cars purchased by FAAN and 2 purchased by NAMA. Now we have 6-8 bulletproof cars for foreign dignitaries! Haba Stella, did you not know that these cars are not in the budget? If you then decided to approve their purchase singlehandedly, why did you not follow due process. My Igbo kinsmen will jump in here with their empty brains to show how ignorant and empty they are. Disgrace! Anything and Everything as long as MONEY is made. Greed that is stemmed from a very low self-esteem.

We are only talking about NCAA, she has also pooed in FAAN and NAMA. Ndigbo defenders, defend all you can but you cannot stop the judgement of God. Where were you when Stella blamed God for the plane crash? No wonder she quickly absolved NCAA from any blame because one good turn deserves another! I just hope these defence clowns understand my drift since they seem to read every report regarding Stella's corrupt tendencies upside down without understanding...very low IQ indeed or they are blinded by that demon called tribalism.

I am happy though that some of my Igbo kinsmen are coming out to control the damage already done by those clowns who are completely sold out to the devil defending corruption without shame. Thank God for this few but very sane Igbo remnant! So many on the broadway to self destruction and ignominy, very few on the narrow path of honour and respectability.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Places Oduah On ‘Tactical Suspension’ by dbride: 1:05pm On Oct 31, 2013
Frank-C:
Guilty of what exactly? First, the people shouting know nothing about NCAA or the Aviation ministry and the laws establishing the agencies. NCAA ought to follow a Public Procurement Act in acquisition of assets and once it is established that it was not done, the head of the agency involved takes responsibility not the head of the ministry. Note that part of the procurement procedure could be approval from the ministry to go ahead with the procurement process. That was why Bode George was sent to jail and not the Minister of Transport.

When they were after Oteh in SEC for lodging in hotel and hosting delegates (clearly provided for in the her appointment privileges), no one mentioned that Olusegun Aganga was corrupt. The song was that Oteh is corrupt, even after when she exposed corrupt request from the HoR. When the economic crises hit Nigerian banking industry, Soludo(CBN head) was demonized, not the Finance Minister. When Maina looted pension funds, he was criticized as Maina, not Caleb Olubolade of Police Affair Ministry. When Farouk Lawan stuffed dollars in his cap, he was criticized, not the Speaker of House of Reps. But when Fola Akintotu of NCAA bought vehicles for NCAA, people decided to leave Fola and demonize the Aviation Minister.

If there is any crime that this woman has committed, I will like to know about it. But if this is still about a vehicle purchased by NCAA, the bigots should leave her alone and hold Fola responsible, a man judged by Nigeria to be qualified enough to take decisions affecting the Agency.
@Frank C just admit you are ignorant. When your mind is set on evil you stop seeing, hearing and understanding facts of any issue. Your last paragraph clearly shows you have not followed the matter at all yet you are defending; with what info do you now defend Stella? You did not know that as at the time in question, Fola had not assumed duty and that it was Mr. Joyce Nkemakolam who was in charge and had even faced the house committee to confirm that Stella approved all he did? Umuigbo, welu nu akonuche we ne okwu nka. Stella yulu nsi n'afia. Ifele megbu kwa unu.

arsenalwenger: I wont lose sleep as long as source of the info are punch, sahara reporters or premiumtimes. These media houses have proven to be shameless\unprofessional for the past few days in sham journalism.

They are however fighting a lost battle cos the progress being experinced nationwide, in the aviation secror, can never be eroded by charlatans from a particular section of the country who believed that the control of the aviation sector is their birth-right. Funny enough they are already constituting nuisance to sane minds with all these unending whinnings.
Why do you think all igbos are behind Stella? You delude yourself big time. Stella is corrupt, so so corrupt. Hello, not all igbos are insane, some of us are still sane with the fear of God in us and have been calling for her resignation. Stella and her defenders should stop making Igbos look hungry and deprived, anything everything for money. Can you not defend her without dragging all igbos along this path of shame?
PoliticsRe: Enugu Pro-Oduah Protesters Got N4,000 Each - Investigation by dbride: 12:20pm On Oct 31, 2013
Those (Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Edo) who never really liked the Igbos did that, and still do, for this same reason that they exhibit so unashamedly.....supporting the evil that any Igbo does and aggressively too! They see us as a people who are ever ready to grab all for themselves, their tribe first! Yes some of these Igbo neighbours may be silent now because of Jonathan's agenda to contest again and the igbos come very handy. Unfortunately, in the minds of these neighbours, the igbos are still a breed to dine with a long spoon. They just confirmed that they will never change, anything for their tribe!

Igbos, wait until Jonathan leaves office then you will know what you just did to yourselves. Igbos are so politically naive and have not learnt anything. With this behaviour, these neighbours would definitely not be safe teaming up with us for anything in future, we are too clannish. Is it that majority of us cannot read and write or even when we can read, we cannot understand? Maybe we are not designed to be leaders but people who should offer support services under the leadership of men/women with conscience!

Food for Thought......Igbo Kwenu, I am one of you but I am disturbed by this shameful development. Spit all the fire you have on me, I am resolute. Truth is forever bitter to those who have chosen to lie and live.

Ibori's Ogharra kinsmen also protested in favour of the corrupt governor, the court absolved him of any corruption, the British Govt caught the thief and jailed him. His Ogharra kinsmen now believe Ibori stole and had been a thief in and out of Nigeria long before he ever dreamt of being a governor.

When your time of evil is up, protests by some paid ignorant losers will not stop you from reaping what you have sown. Defenders of Stella, please don't give up; Ibori's lesson is just not enough experience for the igbos. The Igbos need theirs too!

PoliticsRe: Oduah Approved Purchase Of N255m Car - NCAA by dbride: 9:57pm On Oct 26, 2013
DerideGull: Would you have been happy if she has purchased tricycle for aviation operations? It only in dumbass Nigeria that purchase of aviation’s operational fleets is termed corruption. I do not give a hoot as long the two BMW cars were not turned into personal usage. In certain countries, corporate entities including airlines maintain fleets of jets for official use.
Dumbass DeridGull, Tribalism has not allowed you to even get the point of argument. You speak off point. We are talking of Fraud, money spent without approval, claiming N2000 while you actually paid N2.00, ignoring procedures. You sure do have a very low IQ and you are the dumbass NOT Nigeria...your little education is a wasted effort too.
PoliticsRe: Oduah Approved Purchase Of N255m Car - NCAA by dbride: 9:22pm On Oct 26, 2013
Chima_Adeoye: Yes, they want Stella hanged for bogus crimes cooked up by a faceless online website; sahara-reporters.
But they won't let EFCC or other constitutionally mandated federal agencies to investigate their bogus allegation if there was truly any corrupt enrichment of the minister in the said procurement of bullet proof vehicles, a deal she did not even sign!

Hon. Stella Oduah's true crime is that she dared to improve the aviation sector which people from a certain section of the country have bastardized and choked in a strangle hold.

Those tribalist people in their malicious plot against Nigeria had killed Nigeria Airways and killed Air Nigeria. Those people from a certain section of the country frustrated the deal with Virgin Atlantic. All these was done to maintain the strangle hold monopoly to compel all foreign airlines to only use Lagos airport as point of entry into Nigeria.

Recall that it took heaven and earth to allow Lufthansa & Air France to fly to Port Harcourt, inspite of them servicing mainly the oil industry. The previous yoruba aviation ministers had strangely insisted that they stop at Lagos and international oil workers can use our local airlines to fly into Port Harcourt Intl. !

Princess Stella Oduah had not only worked against all their obstacles and subterfuge to achieve President Jonathan's pledge to finally upgrade the Akanu Ibiam Intl. Airport,Enugu into a true international airport, but also she threatened their monopoly by the planned introduction of a new National carrier ! For this, she must be given a bad name in order to be hanged. Poor useless people that imagine other Nigerians are so dumb to see through their pretenses and wicked plot.
If you can no longer read and understand, can you also not understand the question and answer session between acting DG Nkemakolam of NCAA and the house committee when Nkemakolam told them Stella approved N255 million in spite of the N140 million total cost he had presented, N115 million in excess for the purchase of 2 BMW cars. F R A U D !

Now note that N240 million was approved in the budget for operational vehicles but she spent N643 million, N403 million again in excess without approval, without due process. Another FRAUD!

Tell me, is your education not a wasted effort? You read you don't understand, you listen you still don't get it! Education has not helped majority of my kinsmen ..... what a pity, the literate and the illiterate think and act alike, disgusting! Education destroyed on the altar of TRIBALISM.

Taaaaa kinsmen, ifele megbukwa unu. Ewo, ebe ka ajokwua si bata? The budget approval was N240 million, she spent N643 million a whooping N403 million in excess without approval from the appropriate offices. and you are defending her because she is helping widows, she is building a new house that the floods destroyed, she is the omu, etc,. What nonsense! You must be suggesting that she needed that excess expended without approval for all that. In her defence, you people are incriminating her the more.

Bianu, what is an OMU doing outside her domain? All OMUs are WITCHES and everyone knows that. So FFK is not far from the truth after all. More revelations coming out even from her defenders. She is about to be disgraced by the higher power - GOD, I don't know yet when, where or how but this is my position. Mark my words. Ka Chukwu debe anyi ndu.

slimghost: You can say it is morally wrong but saying that she looted funds is very very disgusting and mischievous.
The budget approved only N240 million but spend N643 million instead; she overspent N403 million without approval and no due process as the agency responsible for procurement has no record of this amount.

The acting DG, Joyce Nkemakolam, presented a signed document which showed the cost of each BMW at N70 million = N140 million. He was asked by the house committee how they arrived at N255 million (an excess of N115 mil), he said that the minister should answer that. @slimghost, over to you.

I am way above your tribal sentiment, not in this world to bring myself down to that level. I was created to think higher than my Igbo tribe and I am not suffering from low self esteem like you. I am first a human being, a spirit being with conscience and ability to know what is good and evil. You have been so ravaged by tribalism that you now assume everybody who speaks against Stella is Yoruba. Boko haram is using religion and you use tribe, what's the difference between you and boko boys?
PoliticsRe: Leave Stella Oduah Alone – Niger-delta Group by dbride: 1:24am On Oct 25, 2013
daz_york: As Kairoseki said, I no longer want to hear Nigerians complain about corruption. It is impossible to take you lot serious anymore. Even the supposedly intelligent, awoken, Pan-Africanist posters like Rossikk have shown their hand now and I've seen what is really at the heart of Nigeria's problem.

I have a Yoruba father and a Calabar mother but I have never thought once about condoning theft and injustices because the perpetrators are "from my place".

Despite being a proud Yoruba man, I have always had nothing but the utmost respect for the history and culture of others in Nigeria. I'm the one busy campaigning for African Americans and other Africans to purchase vehicles made by Innoson. Despite being very much a fan of Tunde Fashola the governor of my home state, I was deeply unhappy that the contract for Lagos metro buses did not go to Innocent Chukwuma. Because what I am after is the progress of NIGERIA, not "my place" and I am smart enough to understand that "my place" can only become great if the rest of Nigeria and Africa is too. I would never support an injustice against an Igbo or Hausa or Idoma or Ijaw person because the perpetrator is Yoruba - that is nonsense to me.

I wonder, the God you people here are so vocal about worshipping amidst shows of ridiculous piety - do you really believe in that God? Does that bible you swear on actually mean anything to you? If that God came and met you now, would you be approved?

I cannot express how disappointing and depressing it is that so many Nigerians are still falling for this old mugu trick of petty tribalism. Do you know that at the top, the people stealing your children's destinies don't care about tribe? That they are all eating your money together whether Bini, Yoruba, Igbo or Isoko?

The british who introduced this divide and conquer thing would be amazed that 200 years later, we're still falling for the same mugu trick. No wonder they can look down on us and make us pay £3000 bond to visit London.

Listen Nigeria: The world is moving at a fast pace. The dollar is failing. New energy sources will render oil obsolete. Other African countries are doing great things with what they have. Nobody, I repeat nobody is going to wait for Nigerians to grow up and stop playing fufu-and-stockfish ethnic politics. The world out there is far more complex and bigger than Nigeria and no one has time for Nigeria's childish issues. If Nigeria still wants to be the giant of Africa which still regularly soils its 53 year-old nappies, then please leave those of us from all ethnicities of this country that want to work together in peace and make progress. Give us a patch of barren land in the desert and see what we do with it while the rest of you can fight to the death over your federal allocation oyel moni.

Please those of us - Igbo or Yoruba or whoever that are interested in progress should find a way to come together. Please let's leave this gathering of mad men.
Thanks for this refreshing piece and I will quote it over and over again. God bless you.
PoliticsRe: Leave Stella Oduah Alone – Niger-delta Group by dbride: 1:16am On Oct 25, 2013
Rossikk: Dude please get real. Tell me something. Who do you think is not ''a thief'' in govt? EVERYONE IS. There's no point lying to ourselves. Jonathan himself will be a much richer guy by the time he leaves office than when he got in. I know this, he knows this, we know this, the whole world knows this. Same as every other member of his cabinet, every minister, every state governor, every commissioner etc etc.

So we might as well sack the entire govt., instead of using Oduah as ''an example'' or scapegoat. Funny thing is that you call her a thief but what has she stolen? Armoured cars for security? She says the purchase followed due process. Why not let her case be examined before crucifying her?

Meanwhile let me tell you something. As we speak there are VARIOUS shady deals being implemented by many other public officers, who are NOT PDP members or Jonathan allies, and therefore are NOT subject to the same opposition ''media scrutiny''. So, it is not surprising to see Oduah's people ''defending'' her, against such brazenly selective ''investigative journalism'' by a media supposedly ''concerned about corruption''.

So there are many permutations to this. Certainly people compare this federal govt to earlier regimes, and feel progress is being made.

We have to be very careful that in our attempt to ''fight corruption'' (according to the opposition's selective methodologies) we don't end up dismantling the huge progress the nation has made under the current federal administration. So it is not as clear-cut as ''hang the minister!!''
Who says satan, the devil, has not taken over? This analysis is from the pit of hell so I laughed hard and remembered that EVIL will never overcome GOOD as long as somebody is fervently asking for God's intervention in a seemingly hopeless situation. God is able, He is patient, He has a set time and like a thief in the night, He will strike and everyone will reap what he/she has sown and Nigeria will breathe again. Ghana is breathing well today after people like you were silenced somehow.

Some of these my Igbo kinsmen are just so ignorant, they argue blindly and reason upside down. I keep saying that TRIBALISM destroys a man's brain and common sense. They defend with their minds, brains, eyes, ears all closed to all the facts; all they see and think about is: STELLA ODUAH IS AN IGBO WOMAN. Do we also behave this way in our different "towns' meetings" which hold once a month all over the country? Only a bastard destroys his "father's" house!

Stylaay: you were making sense as regards your comment on the minister. Corruption has destroyed this country, it does not matter which ethnic group these offenders originate from. If found culpable they should be brought to book. When you started spewing this nonsense about ibos i just had to conclude this is just one of those little minds posting nonsense again. I used to enjoy nairaland when i first discovered it; but it seems like the moderators have suddenly become dormant.. Most people where indifferent about other ethnic groups not until they began reading hate comments on sites like nairaland. Such comments have the propensity to sway your opinion if you think like one of them little minds . Nairaland has propagated dislike among the various ethnic and religious groups in nigeria. I think if the moderators cannot do a good job hiding these nonsense comments, then the government has to do something about nairaland and all other sites bringing so much division in the country.
@Stylaay, our kinsmen brought this upon us as majority of Ndigbo HERE support this corruption without shame. Yeah, it hurts but let's bear it and let the few of us, who sincerely detest corruption and believe Stella goofed, stand on the side of truth to control this damage.

Good leadership has NOTHING to do with gender. Nigeria needs a leader who has the fear of God and is so committed to moving this nation forward by carrying the people along. We need a leader who has zero tolerance to corruption and can smell it from the farthest distance; whether man or woman, who cares.

Niseamaka: You are the one that is cursed. Stella Oduah is very educated, very successful and stinkingly rich. Her businesses in the oil sector is valued at over $10billion. Check out her background yourself. How come suddenly every parastatal under her ministry is giving her vehicular gifts.
You were asked a question....why don't you want Stella replaced by another intelligent and upright Igbo man/woman?.....and the trash above is your reply? With every reply, you sink deeper into that deep black sea of confusion mixed with stupidity and depravity. He who supports evil never knows how deep he has sunken and how empty he sounds. She must have stepped on very powerful toes. Very strange that all the allegations were the same : gift of vehicles from parastatals under her ministry. I'm beginning to take these allegations with a pinch of salt.
What about this, a time for everything; a time to hide and a time to reveal, a time to laugh and a time to cry, a time to lose and a time to find, a time for the thief and a time for the owner, a time for Stella Oduah's Act and a time for God's Act. Think about it.

If she's a thief then she should bear the consequences by being sacked and prosecuted. Instead of us to examine the allegations, we are throwing ethnic tantrums. Is this what Nigeria has degenerated into? If the youth of this country behaves this way, then we are stuck for good. All the politicians that have stolen and is still stealing what good have their actions done for their ethnic group? How many factories or industries have they built in their home states to employ the teeming unemployed youths? Ironically, the same youths are here, up in arms, in their defence. God help this country!
You are indeed a WISEGUY. God bless you beyond your wildest imagination. Truth = God and He will stand by you in all your endeavours. I don't know what has come over my people, have shed some tears and wondered how did we get to this very unenviable disgraceful low level. God is able!

You have just succeeded in saying that when one armed robber is caught, we should not judge him until we have laid our hands on all the other armed robbers because they are worse than the one already in our net.
