Sec5: Calling for her resignition is not the best thing to do now.She should be encouraged to focus on safety now she has achieved a feat in aesthetics.Reason being that majority of ex-aviation ministers neither made any impact on infrastructural upgrading of the airports nor guaranteed air safety. Now that we have someone who is able to perform in one aspect as attested to by the senators, let us encourage her to fix the safety issues23 ignorant people liked this^^^^^^? Nigeria is indeed in trouble. The main business of the Aviation ministry is to guarantee maximum air safety FIRST without which aesthetics would become a complete wasted effort. She should be reassigned to ministry of tourism, Aviation is too specialized for an interior and exterior decorator of infrastructure. Aviation deals with AIRPLANES and LIVES, no sentiments please. |
dheaven: Are you sure legitimate Nigerian settled in Cameroun are not among the casualties? You don't need anybody's permission to make the necessary verification. |
shollaire: It would be a shame of multinational dimension and a dent on Nigeria Army image if any of these border countries were to eventually be the one to killed/capture shekau and open display him for all to see. Nigeria Army should please sit-up and step-up there approach of tackling terrorist.Don't be deceived by the recent Shekau video, that man is long dead and buried. |
olorire2013: Seriously,a lagosian aspirant will not fix a politically rally on Eyo festival day.Igwe please forgive your son Ngige,I'm sure he was too eager to start the process of turning Anambra state to a prosperous state like lagos. This is the 21st century Mr traditional ruler, onitsha is not the capital city of Anambra state. Please next time move your okalla, ofada or whatever to the interior part of the state to allow progressives to deliver the dividend of democracy to the good people of Anambra state. From one side of your mouth you blamed Ngige and from the other side you advised the Igwe to move the festival to the interior because Onitsha is not the capital of Anambra. Why speak from both sides of your mouth? Are you not confused yourself? The man is the Obi of Onitsha for God's sake. Are you suggesting he moves to Awka or what? You just succeeded in saying +1-1=0. Go tell the Awujale to shift his festival from Ijebu Ode to Ilishan. Politicians without Wisdom! |
o'boy:No doubt, you just have nothing to drag with him. So, if you were born and bred in one part of the country, you CANNOT know the culture of your people in another part of the country? You sure have something against seeking knowledge. o'boy, upgrade. |
hardeyincah: punctuate your sentence well.Tell us, what else would it mean without the punctuation? |
seedord247: Okrika Bomb (......)What a national nuisance, a national waste and I weep for you. |
josite: I am a Yoruba man and I never stop being amazed me why obasanjo with all his wealth of experience will appoint this femi to a cabinet minister position.im yet to see any man in Nigeria's public life with so much indiscretion.we must really not be surprised at where Nigeria's lot today given the type of folks that walks the corridors of power in Nigeria. How relevant is this to the issue on ground? Is Stella Oduah competent considering her response to the recent crash and with the very vital info given by one of the survivors that he had noticed a visible crack on the plane before take off? NOTE: a crack on a plane will make it lose power to ascend further, becomes unstable (loses control) and then the law of gravity takes place....a CRASH! FFK is right this time around, so what's your beef with him now; obasanjo and FFK are long out of power and the crash just happened on Oduah's watch. |
danny301: What has ofada or whatever they called it got to do with a politician flagging off his campaign?... To think that some youths are even carrying placards and protesting a non-issue as that is something else... Is it 'ofada' the people need or good roads, employment, quality education,etc?... This is 21st century for God's sake.... And for Peter Obi, he should stop capitalizing on petty issues for campaign... He should be telling the people how many schools he built, how many roads he constructed, how haw jobs he created, How he expanded the economy of the state etc and not how APGA shifted her campaign from 8th to 7th because that does not solve Nigeria or Anambra's problems... It is a bad thing if Anambrian are bent on discrediting Ngige not because they true think he is unfit for the position but because affiliation to what they termed "a yoruba party"...You simply lack wisdom and Ngige needs it to even grab that position before he can build the roads and all that. Note WISDOM is not Politics and everybody, young and old, needs it to reach our desired goals. |
agbameta: This is some village comedy stuff. Placing curse on people in 2013 over some ofada stuff is mad crazy for real. Smh...Funny thread, funny comments, a fall out from Ngige's refusal to apply WISDOM........stubbornness took control!!! No wise Pastor would fix a crusade on a day slated for any festival, why? because he would want MAXIMUM audience. A wise Fashola would not campaign on Eyo festival day for the same reason ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Most stubborn people always want to prove a point, sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. Ngige knows better which category his choice has placed him. Generally, short people enjoy raising unnecessary dust anywhere, anytime for some psychological satisfaction lol. |
Wisdom Is The Principal Thing........Wisdom Is The Principal Thing..........Wisdom Is the Principal Thing |
Another beautiful step in the right direction! We will get there! |
This might just be a frame up to create a situation where Nigerians would be forced to leave all they have laboured for, not sure. We all know that Nigerians are hated most especially by other Africans, they envy our guts, resilience, aggressiveness, success, etc. I always feared the hate/jealousy/envy will get to this one day. |
tomakint: But this Jonathan government is damn too tolerant I wonder how a social miscreant as Fani Kayode is fond of opening his mouth like somebody suffering from diarrhea of the mouthYeah, even a mad man who most times talks nonsense sometimes says that one right thing and we all are taken aback, we walk away pondering over the ways of God. Hmmmm strange but true. FFK might be a miscreant but this one time has succeeded in hitting the nail on the head and rightly so. After a passenger submitted that he noticed a visible crack on the plane before the take off, the Minister should NEVER have made that statement which portrays her ignorance and incompetence. I repeat, a crack on any plane is DISASTER. She should have known that! Whoever supports or defends her here is equally ignorant. |
Don't make this issue a tribal (Ibo/Yoruba) one especially as FFK's past comments on other issues do not correlate with this one. The question here is: Was the minister right to say that the crash was an act of God? In my candid opinion, she deserves FFK's tongue lashing. I believe in flogging a man when he is out of line and commend him when he does the right thing. |
Tunde ajani: the same converted guys you people programmed alongside your evil propaganda of shame against islam..no hiding place for you...we have hear known and grasped: "pdp=boko,boko=pdp"...a knowledge of the tafsir will bring down your level of ignorance that the holy quran is not you macmilian that you read without studying reading why some verses are revealed..pathetic ignoramus. If they were programmed, was I also programmed when I embraced Christianity since October 1986 in Kano; had a near death experience as a result but the God that converted me saved me. You see, I have tasted both worlds and therefore speak from experience. I can see VIOLENCE and ANGER even in your COMMENT/VOICE.....you remain in one spot while I have moved from your spot to another spot and still think you are not the pathetic ignoramus? Ever seen an angry comedian hahahahaha Tunde Ajani ni o pelu pdp=boko, boko=pdp. You are so ooooo ignorant boy, boko boys started training in different cells during Abacha days with the aim of islamizing Nigeria. Please dig deep, search the internet, read, investigate and widen your knowledge about any issue and avoid the band wagon info that you cannot substantiate with facts. Note, I am not a politician. Sleep well Tunde Ajani. |
Siraleeyu: I replied you but network frustrated it from being delivered and I cannot honestly rewrite it, all I can say is for u to take things easy, am not the 1 dat killed him and am not in support of his alledged killers......but certainly we shall all return to Allah.I will not return to allah, the god that enjoys spilling blood, the god that promotes strife and hate, the god that dislikes peace with a passion. His words in his Koran confirms these characteristics. Next time please speak for yourself and before you reply, goggle, read and watch the confessions of former members of boko haram who converted to Christianity, my God showed them His love and power and they now enjoy peace within and without; the difference is clear.......unlike you, they now know that they will not return to the allah they killed for! |
stuffs4me: Most Christians don't even know their religion, hijab is not only a Muslim thing, even the Bible speaks against nudity. The life and time of Mary, mother of Jesus Christ explains all this.Which Bible did you get this very dark info about Christianity from? The one who wears hijab has covered nudity? What comedy. |
[quote author=ceejayluv]Actually Accidents DO happen. Trains derail, spaceships explode, ships sink. if any unforeseen accident is the fault of the minister, then why haven't people clamoured for the resignation of the minister of transportation when thousands of people die yearly on roads and waterways? Let's not get too emotional. THE MINISTRY AND REGULATORY BODIES CAN ONLY ENSURE SAFETY COMPLIANCE but cannot erase the occurrence of mishaps totally. They're called "accidents" for a reason. The insurance companies will handle that.[/quote Did the ministry and regulatory bodies ensure safety compliance even with the visible crack observed by one of the passengers who survived the crash? Crack on an airplane is DISASTER, plane takes off but quickly loses stability and the law of gravity happens! Who certified such plane air worthy? Theirs is to collect bribe and expect God to prevent accident or stand the risk of been blamed! |
cold: Of course,it is God's will. I wonder why all these so called religious folks are trying to shy away from the statement. God created everything, designed everything, knows everything, even before it happens but does nothing to stop it. Rightly claims in Isaiah 45 7 that he alone created good and evil. So what gives..?What kind of reasoning is this? Don't brush your teeth and when they decay you call it an act of God. Visible crack observed by a passenger on the plane BEFORE TAKE OFF, it crashes as a result, you call it an act of God? Of course, a crack after take off is beyond man's control. Your application of the word of God shows lack of wisdom, understanding and knowledge of God on your part and what do you say to: "My people perish for lack of knowledge". @cold allow the Holy Spirit teach you God's word experientially, head knowledge of God's word kills and robs you of His wisdom. |
Stella Oduah, you messed up. What do you say to Feyi Agagu's observation of a CRACK on the plane? As a Minister of Aviation, are you not aware that a crack means destabilisation and the plane at take off quickly loses control and is forced down? A CRACK ON THE PLANE is an act of God? A plane that is not air worthy crashes and you blame God? This woman just displayed crass ignorance of what she is supposed to oversee, what a shame. Why would Stella Oduah and so many empty heads ever accept to oversee the workings of a highly specialized field like Aviation and why would we continue to put square pegs in round holes, is it also an act of God ?? |
ba7man: Of course our Airspace is safe.......Its not as if there are rebels with "surface to air" missiles waiting to shoot commercial planes down.......or regular cases of tornados and typhoon winds that causes plane crashes regularly........or flocks of quela birds that hover close to airports and get sucked into engines resulting in crashes. |
Yes, so safe with NCAA/pilots flying planes with visible cracks and pilots not obeying the Air Traffic Controllers' instructions? Where in the world do you find such grave mistakes? Minister, you are either so ignorant or very negligent. |
carujmonella: You've said it all. Women are their own nemesis. They have made marriage their ultimate goal and it's sad. If they have certain goals set out and they pursue that goal, and become successful in life, MEN will troop their way. Nobody hates a GOOD thingNot so sure, only if that career success comes with HUMILITY no man will look your way for marriage. |

Mahatma Ghandi: The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step, whether the intention is wrong or not let the discussion begin somehow. at the risk of sounding partisan and judgemental I think the section that has benefited the most from this forced co existence is attempting to blackmail the rare effort. if Nigerians don't talk Nigeria will never work and if Nigeria does not work then lets all walk in their different directions peacefully. with all due respect to the fair and right thinking people from the section that was earlier referred to.God bless you and that Mahatma Ghandi's wisdom. |
gudugudumeje: PLS. Recall that Mr. Jonathan had once stated that there was no need for Sovereign National Conference because the nation’s sovereignty lies with the national assembly..... DOES STILL MEAN THE LATTER that it cannot be sovereign? IF YES, the dialogue is truly diversionary. There's absolutely nothing wrong in a man retracing his steps after realizing his mistakes, the ARROGANT will not do that but the HUMBLE has it in his DNA. GEJ has his many faults and I have lashed at him many times but I also acknowledge his good decisions. You cannot beat a child for both good and bad decisions, only the insane would do that. Say whatever you like, this National Conference is the REAL DEAL. I have prayed for it many many years and every head of state/president b4 now turned it down with the help of some core northern elders. Sovereign or not, at least we will all get to know the hidden thoughts of the different groups and then take things from there; knowledge is power and this is progress, only the deep will see it! |
cashkid is back: i smell sumtin fishy in nwabueze resignation .cud it be dt his life was threatenedNothing fishy, he is just a very honourable man who knows when to quit the stage and wouldn't want to put his health in jeopardy and what's wrong with that. Why do we always read negative meaning to everything? Way out? Try committing EVERYTHING you cannot figure out yourself to God and enter into His rest TRUSTING that ANY workings/arrangements you see thereafter are God's. NEVER expect to see things happen just the way your human mind thinks....God's ways are not our ways, through our PAINS God births our much desired requests. In our darkest moments, he shines His own kind of light that bring GOOD success. |
mbulela: Wait until you see the type of National Conference GEJ will approve.Start somewhere. Elections were rigged the previous years so we should never hold elections again ? Why would you conjure all negative thoughts now that we have what we have been routing for? A conference is a conference, we get to know the minds of the different groups and then take things from there. Are you so allergic to positive thinking? |
A crack on an airplane causes destabilisation, plane could not climb further and is forced down. Somebody in NCAA has compromised or why would such plane be allowed to fly? The pilot himself sacrificed professionalism when he did not detect the crack. Thanks to Feyi Agagu who said he saw a crack, NCAA who earlier confirmed the plane was air worthy quickly retraced its steps to ground Associated Airlines. The minister should investigate the activities of the regulatory body NCAA. Those guys are so wealthy that you think they are oil workers. Corruption stinks there! Why should an Airline you are supposed to keep in check pay for ticket, hotel accommodation and feeding of the NCAA staff who normally accompanies the plane for the compulsory regular checks abroad? Now we know where the regulatory body's loyalty lies. These regular routine checks are expensive and lack of it would ground the planes which means loss of income therefore they tend to cut corners with the help of NCAA. These people are so greedy that lives have lost value. MINISTER OF AVIATION, PLEASE DO SOME UNDERGROUND INVESTIGATION if possible plant an informant and be ready to part with some money. Yes, it has gotten to that. Enough is enough. |
Aderupoko2: SNC my foot! What happened to the last one we had? This adventure is all about wasting scare resources. These politicians know that Nigeians love entertainment. Please remind us when we had the last SNC, I cannot remember 9ja EVER having any. Tinubu and majority of Nigerians have prayed, cried and wished for it as the ONLY solid foundation on which Nigeria can move forward towards good success. Even the core north who stood against a NC in the past have now embraced it. As far as I am concerned, God just answered our prayer. Who cares about the timing! National Conference is more important than any Elections. We cant keep doing the same thing and expect change! I don't even care the motive behind GEJ's call for a conference, WE NEED IT ANYHOW and God just answered our prayers of many many years. |
Nigerians are always in a hurry to fail, fail and fail again. Boko Haram are killing and have refused to dialogue because they believe they are fighting Allah's course which condemns the constitution, democracy and having to be led by unbelievers. Some repentant boko boys have confessed to the fact that IBB, Buhari, some notable northern governors, etc. are their sponsors. I have read opinions of educated Muslims regarding Nigeria on the internet in Arabic and hausa, nothing different from what boko haram are clamouring. Should we even consider elections more important than a National Conference now? Something is wrong with us as Nigerians, we always put the cart before the horse. Is it not wisdom to know who wants democracy, who does not want to be led by unbelievers, settle how we want to move forward with these differences before spending on elections? Politicians are only interested in elections, sharing power and stealing. |

the question now is, "Must he talk when it's not really necessary"?
??
