SNC is a serious issue and now is obviously not the time for it. The country is on election footing so trying to stage SNC and heated election at the same time sounds not only foolish and counterproductive, its a very lousy idea designed to do more harm and little good.


If its going to be SNC, just cancel the election and let us all focus on SNC instead of staging 2 majorly contested issues at the same time. Politics and SNC can not mix together.

You wouldn't dare tell Asiwaju Tinubu the above^^^^^^^^ during his NADECO days when he was all for SNC. He endeared himself to so many of us and I wonder why he is singing a different song now.

Politicians are really so self centred, they champion a course only when it favours them and condemn it when it does not favour them anymore forgetting that the majority of Nigerians have been praying for it. Tinubu, in the NADECO days, was all about National Conference and now that boko haram are campaigning and killing to rule Nigeria using Islamic tenets of no democracy, no constitution, no government of unbelievers (keferis), he fights what he so believed in.

I don't know what Asiwaju wants but Nigerians are tired of the status quo and want a national conference badly. Opposition does not mean condemning even the right moves made by the ruling party. Who knows, maybe Tinubu and APC need this one wrong move to help Nigerians decide which way to go.

Candour: No human likes to suffer actually and we don't have to go looking for suffering to prove our Christianity. That would also be self righteousness and trying to earn favour with God through works.

However like you opined, Christians should not think becoming a Christian entitles you to a rose petaled pathway. Persecution will come, you'll be denied luxuries and rights to spite you and your faith and we are asked to bear these deprivations patiently like people who surely have a better hope.

Money, cars, Jets affluence doesn't validate your Christianity because Atheists, Muslims etc can boast of more. So when a man starts telling you how close to God he is because he has an abundance of this world's goods, then you know he's far from the Christianity described in the bible. Riches does not define a Christian just as poverty does not prove a good Christian. A life that is edifying to both believers and unbelievers alike is the way and we'll do well to take heed.

While we work to make a better life for ourselves and family, lets have eternity in focus. God has promised not to leave nor forsake us. He's promised to meet our necessities. Let us be therewith content for that is Godliness.
