Oga Spyder, sorry to call us back. Remember, all students to grasp at the same pace. Just want to know why some part of the foundation had beams, as against the other part that are just blinding and then blocks? Was that because that part of the land was too soft or had heavier load to carry? |
Oga Spyder, great job. wondering if you kept count of the amount of blocks used thus far. kindly tell us. |
I really appreciate this thread and I thank you sir for the education provided. I am so getting into this venture. Hope to start small and grow it. I remain a loyal reader and follower. |
Oga Spyder or anyone, pls tell me where and whom i can get to do my decorative concrete stamping outside in my compound instead of inter locking stones |

Help needed!!! Oga Spyder, and all other Ogas of mine; where can I get very good Armord Arched doors in Lagos? |
Bekee72, u have done well. Oga Spyder, I speak with your permission. The decking stage requires a lot of money to be spent on Irons and woods mostly. My recommendation is that you also save up enough money to build the upper block work immediately. Here is why: the Iron used in the decking remains a part of the structure; however, the wood, if stored can go to waste=money lost. But if u deck, and use the same wood for your lintel, you would have saved yourself a lot of money. Just my two cents!! |
to all my Ogas; can any one tell me where to buy electric cable for a good price in Lagos. Better yet, where is Niger cable located in Lagos or their phone number? |

1. My builder says we need 30 trips of 20 ton laterite sand to fill. The raft was 3 board raft. Is this appropriate? How do I know a 10 ton vs a 15 ton vs 20 ton tipper when they come to deliver? 2. My builder advised that we do block work to lintel before raft. To allow the sand to compact. Is this wise 3. My builder told us that we need 4000 blocks to lintel. This does not include pillars. Is this reasonable? Help will be appreciated Please note that the land was waterlogged, Answer: Hello, I do bliv that you would want to create the raft, fill the partitions, then german flooring before you even start the block work for the house to have solid foundation. My 2 cents is that the german floor chains the entire raft foundation together. |
@Oga Spyder, how many tons of iron did you use for the decking of the house in Owerri? if you dont mind, kindly break down the tons in the sizes used. |
Oga Spyder, on behalf of myself and classmates; I thank you wella!!! if no be the knowledge wey you open up to all, I for no start my house-out of fear. Chief, congrats ooo!!!! peace and love go rain for that your house. |

Reporting back to class: Oga spyder and class monitor femmmy, sorry for reporting to class late, na sch fees cos am. Spyder, I really thank u for opening my eyes on plumbing. I recently started mine internally, can I still convert to external plumbing without screwing the whole thing up?? |
At Spyder, Thank you bros. So, using imported iron does not necessarily equate to been the best. I know Nigerians bliv that imported products are the best when in reality its not always the case. |
Oga Spyder and all, I beg, what is d difference between Turkey iron and imported irons? I ask because am at d decking level and hope to deck soon-was told to buy imported iron or a nigerian iron called Turkey. my understanding is that the two mentioned iron brands are more expensive then the rest. Here is the main question, must I use these two brands for my decking or is this another wave or extortion? |
Oga Spyder, as always nice workooo!!! ur humble student is back for more knowledge. |
