But the truth be say, junior developers get grade sha, make we no lie. Some wey dey claim to be junior developers are interns in disguise.
I dey interview one guy online one day, he claim say he don get like 3yrs experience for JavaScript. My questions were:
1. What are the biggest and smallest numbers in JS?
2. What is true+1+"1"+1?
The guy flop anyhow without any hint but I no dey access person with algorithm test sha. But that aside, the minimum salary of a junior developer should be 150K, but it has to do with ur bargaining power.

ProgrammingI Need A Mentor by DDayve(op): 2:05pm On Nov 14, 2021
Good day gurus and mentors in the house.
Straight to the point.
I have learnt HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Postgre SQL, Reddit, Node, docker, testing using jest, Typescript etc. I am presently working on projects to fine tune my skills. Although the only serious full stack project I have worked on is face recognition app. I want to also work on an e-commerce project once I finish mastering and gaining better understanding of the face recognition app.

I need a guru in the house who will mentor me into the job market. Somebody I can be with physically for like a week or 2wks to gain final requisite skills. I am prepared to pay.
Thanks in advance

Bro if you've gone through a some of my posts, you would've probably come across where i've mentioned that i've got no degree. Dropped out of uni twice. In a below middle-class nigerian home, this is tantamount to ostracization from your folks because they believe nothing good can come out of your life and you'll end up being a worthless piece of sh!t. So i can say i fairly understand what you're going through. I'm gonna tell you 2 things. which is based on exactly how i made it to where i am today.

First is your mindset, When i started learning, i understood that i had to be really good at this thing because my life literally depended on it. what else am i gonna do? Imagine what that mindset did for me. i was literally doing this stuff every day of the week at any little chance i could get. There was no option for me to quit or say that i'm not motivated or any of those excuses. its either i was good at it or i'm done for. I had no backup plan.

2, Another thing that really helped me (this is like the most important) was the support of my mother. She stood by me all through the whole school ish and just kept supporting any decision that i made. she bought me my first laptop. she was a petty trader at the time but i had no idea what she saw in me that made her support my 'craziness' as my other siblings would put it. You need a support system

Forget about programming languages or frameworks for now. You need to get your head straight and understand how your circumstances should be your fuel.

For me and my mom, it all paid off in the end. God knows there's nothing that woman will ask me for in this life that i won't get for her. As long as money can buy it.
Boss. From your moniker, I can conclude React is part of your stack. Please can I get your number? I would like to seek some advice from you which can easily be communicated via phone call. incase you don't want to expose your number here, you can email me at dayvyno@gmail.com. Hmm. Tasty. Although I find that I lose interest in a udemy course after sometime. I prefer books. Also, I'm finding out that Coursera is great.
Yeah, from my experience so far, I don't think Udemy is good for a beginner. U seem to learn pertinent skills bit by bit and separately. You hardly find a beginner to advance course that you can do to find your first job. The disadvantage of learning with Udemy is that after learning all the bits, u may not be able to synchronize everything thereby leaving your relevance in the job market at a low bar. That is what affected me when I learnt data science with python.
For the web development, I would count myself lucky to find Andrei Neagoie. With two of his courses, you can be job ready as a mern stack developer. Although if it had occurred to me, I would have chose Coursera over Udemy. The advantage with Udemy is that it is cheaper when u buy at the right time

I am still learning. I presently work as an engineer in a manufacturing firm. I earn what some persons will call a good salary in a location like Ibadan. So I may say I am not usually broke. What motivates me in programming is that it is difficult to learn. Not every dick and Harry can pick it up and be able to cope consistently. Secondly, I forsee that I can earn far better than I currently earn as a mechanical engineer. I also forsee that my services would be needed not only locally but also internationally. It is usually tough though, combining my work and learning programming, jack as if I am an undergraduate again, burning mid night candles. The motivation again is that the hustle will pay las las.
I have bought more than 7 materials from Udemy. I started first during COVID with python. Learnt machine learning and AI, postgre SQL and tableau but I didn't see the synchronization between everything I learnt plus I expended large amount of data building models. I had to have a rethink around November last year, so I switched to web development. I learnt html, CSS and JavaScript. Now I am mastering the MERN stack. I have some of my portfolios on github but I don't think I am job ready yet. I really need to master the job well cos I need a job that will pay me more than I currently earn before I can leave my present job. I presently earn btw 150-200k

Complete and utter garbage post. Deserves to be in the trash. Then again, considering your previous posts and your less than sensible comments and antecedents, one shouldn't expect anything reasonable from you and people like you.

You took a vehicle to the expressway, a definitely poorly maintained vehicle considering that you're the owner or driver, and then drove at speeds far above the designated speed limits, and the vehicle tyres had a blowout.

Instead of you to put 100% of the blame on yourself and your very poor decision making abilities, you decided to blame the vehicle.

Your life is just a good example of the saying "A poor workman quarrels with his tools". Every thread you make, you're putting blame on everything and everyone apart from the primary target of the blame, which is yourself.

Just take a look at the near bald tyres you decided to take to the expressway, I shudder to imagine just how terrible the condition of that car would be, with you as the owner. Frankly I don't care about you or about anything that happens to you because of your terrible decisions. My concern is for other road users and motorists who you may maim or kill with your senselessness.

My only hope is that you're the only one that would be affected if anything happens due to your lack of acuity, nobody else.

Will be waiting for your next thread where you blame Buhari for your wife not getting pregnant, or you blame your pot for your food not being tasty.

Nonsense.
This guy no get joy ooo. Do you have anything personal with him?

ProgrammingRe: Please I Need Solution To This Js Code by DDayve(op): 3:32pm On Aug 31, 2021
olubantylove:
Hello OP, I hope you are taking your time to enjoy JS? Lol. So, to what you asked.

First I’ll point out some errors you made and then provide solutions to them.
1. You have an object called amazonBasket right? You initialized it without an identifier like no const or let declaration. JavaScript is a forgiving language though, but this is a bad practice as it leads to hoisting just like what the var does then.

Solution: Add a keyword (const or let) to that
.

2. Remember, the amazonBasket is an object not an array, and the obj is an argument pointing to the parameter amazonBasket when you call the checkBasket function. So the obj is still an object right? The forEach method does not work on an object, it only works on arrays and some iterables like nodelist.
Solution: When looping through an object you use the “ for in loop”. Like so:

for(const objKey in amazonBasket){
//Execute this code
}

3. Why did you resort to using the Object and String objects in your code? To me it is not necessary.

So the solution to what you want to do can be achieved in two ways.

First Option(First Picture)
Noticed I only used the in keyword to check if the searchItem property is present in the basket object.
Yes it is possible. And it is common to object. You use the in keyword to check if a property exist in an object.
So the if statement checks that is books present in the basket object as a property? If it is, then it returns books is available else it returns books is not available.

Second Option(second picture)
I looped through the basket object to get all of its property using the “for in loop” I mentioned earlier.
And the looped property are stored in the key variable. After which I check for type and value equality, so if any of property that is stored in key is equal to the searchItem, then it is available.

OP I hope you know by property I mean the books, flosses and glasses that are declared inside your amazonBasket object .
Also careful how you work with variables lexical environment. For instance, you declared the text variable has a global variable, you don’t need to return it again inside the function. It will obviously take the recent value even if it is used inside a function. Anyways, I moved it inside the function for you, since you want to return the checkBasket function. So with console.log, you can access the return value which in this case the text variable.

I hope this helps OP. Enjoy JavaScript and Coding!!
Thank you so much boss. I appreciate you so much for setting out your precious time to explain the code. corrections taken!!!

I actually had it solved with a for\in
but you know we learners now, i want to test if i can solve it in another way. that is the reason i first used the Object.keys to convert to an array before using the forEach() function.
