PoliticsRe: APC Leaders Angry As Buhari Appoints More Northerners by ddefoe: 9:46am On Aug 28, 2015
The South East already knew they would be marginalised and therefore not surprised but the South West? Thank God I didn't vote and I am not surprised either but the days ahead are definetely going to be interesting. Its strange becos virtually all the key appointments has been made and all are Northerners. The South has been badly schemed out.let's call a spade a spade!

The world has moved on but African youths are still clinging to the past.

Its sad yet an irony that youths with smartphones, in tune with happenings around the world, who wish that the nation develops, are fretting about who comes from where even in the 21st century.

More blacks are serving in the Obama administration than any other administration in the American history, yet nobody is talking about it. He appointed all of them. Was he bias? Yes. Are they getting the job done? Definitely. So who cares!

Kwame Nkrumah said: "I'm not an African because I was born in Africa. I'm an African because Africa was born in me".

Its the content that matters, not where he/she was born.

If there's anything to be worried about, its the senators and house of reps members that come from our respective zones but do absolutely nothing!

Frawzey
in a diverse and multi ethnic society as ours, its insensitive to make all political appointment from one section.its bound to stir sentiment.there must be equal rights and justice and Kwame Nkrumah u quoted above was fair to Ghanians in his appointments.

There is nothing new under the sun,it has happened before,it will happen again.its coming from no less a person than Fashola's Godfather himself! Those peddled as corrupt today are those out of favour with the powers that be,it has always been the same and it will remain so even with the present government.either due to lack of evidnece or deliberate covering of ones track, what is certain is every man will be judged according to his works by the almighty! The country is bleeding today becos of what those entrusted with responsibilities of oversseing the commonwealth has done.looting with inpunity. How many has been convicted by EFCC and ICPC? The circle continue and God is watching from a distance!

It is just an eye opener for the masses that when it comes to the common wealth, the ruling class is one.there is no PDP nor APC but common thieves.its time the ordinary man rises above religion, ethnicity and partisanship to confront the monster that is eating up the common resources...we know where the problem is

Just look at the manners and u wonder if this guys are trained at all.absolutely shameful, ridiculous and iresponsible.not acceptable in a civilised society.I am ashamed that some folk could treat a visiting head of state who was obviously here on invitation in this manner.

robosky02:
come who posted this RUBBISH

thats misleading

king JAJA was very rich and was acclaimed to be the first richest nigerian due to his trading in palm oil and slaves as at then

in fact when those women were neked JAJA wives were dressing link the queen of england.

see true picture below and go to for details...

https://www.nairaland.com/2313480/amazing-pictures-nigerias-past
no doubt, king Jaja has a very rich heritage and I believe the first picture is not a true reflection of his great heritage, however,u must remember that king Jaja has a black american lady who was his palace secretary and one other woman of african decent from Jamaica or Haiti who also worked for him.a closer look at the picture u posted, one can still see women who dressed in native attire with open bossom.this might just be the tradition then.truly king jaja was very rich and highly influential,I think a lot can still be explored including archives and pictures about this great man.I am interested becos I married from Opobo.Queens town precisely and I dare say that Opobo is a wonderful island

Some people may not know it but King Jaja of Opobo was an Igbo slave from Orlu in present day Imo state who was sold into slavery. I read somewhere that they still speak some form of Igbo in Opobo.
not some form of Igbo, they speak correct igbo and culture is the same.I married from queens town Opobo and I did my traditional marriage here too.I was amazed that the culture and tradition is the same with mine.they sand and dance in Igbo and also Igbo proverb.I am from Abia state and my wife speaks igbo more than me.the whole of Opobo speaks Igbo and bears Igbo name too.but I think they re a mixture of Ijaws and ibos.
PoliticsRe: Court Dismisses Amaechi’s Suit Against Wike’s Inauguration. by ddefoe: 4:22pm On May 20, 2015
It was Wike who fought tooth and nail to restore Amaechi's mandate,it was Amaechi who sent Wike to Abuja as a minister,it was Wike who fought dirty against Amaechi and his protege,Dakuku Peterside from abuja and became the Governor elect,it is Amaechi who is fighting hard to stop Wike from becoming the Governor.one thing is certain, the war is far from over, what we don't know is,who will emerge victorious and who will be vanquished.Time will tell!

How can lack of money be the setback for the realisation of their fraud of a nation called Biafra?

Let us see the UN's letter or it is a lie tongue

Also, based on the 5 major human geographical divisions we have in Nigeria

The Core-northern part of Nigeria, the Middlebelt part, Eastern, Western & Niger deltan

Let's say Margaret Ekpo represents the Niger deltan region as an Ibibio
Ladi Kwali represents the Middlebelt region as a Gbagyi woman
& Funmilayo Kuti represents the Western (yoruba speaking region)

I'd like to hear from Igbos (easternerns) and the Hausa-fulanis (core-northernerns), who are the most influential Igbo & Hausa-fulani women that ever lived??
Margret Ekpo is an Ibo woman married to an efik man.she can represent her people the south easterners if u don't mind

IdiAmin1:
I'm not comfortable with this SS/SE alliance at all. Biafra if realized is likely to face church denominational problem(catholic and Anglican wahala) so a merger of the two regions will be catastrophic. The Nigeria/biafra war will be a child's play compared to Massob/MEND undecided
u don't understand the social/cultural composition of the region called South South.let me educate u a little,in geography, there is nothin called South South. That place as it were is Eastern Region period! The people have many things in common and Ibo language is spoken extensively in the South South.while I agree that having an independent country might not solve the problem of the region, your wish for Mend/Massob civil war will never happen becos its like brothers killing one another.I personally want a united Nigeria were justice and fairness will be uphold but sadly,Nigerian leaders has refused to do the needful.I am not happy in a country where I feel dominated by another Larger region and my resources used to oil that domination.why can't there be a true federalism and let every region develop at its own pace with its own resources.is that too much to ask for? That's the bone of contention
PoliticsRe: INEC Declares Ikpeazu Winner Of Abia Governorship Election by ddefoe: 8:30am On Apr 26, 2015
That a lot of people are sad beause of the outcome of the election today bears eloquent testimony that Ikpeazu was not the people's choice and was never voted in by the people.from civil servant to traders and business men and women.market women etc, there is mourning all over the state.I hope the tribunal which is the last hope of the common man will upturn this sham of election and restore the people's mandate to the person they freely voted for.God bless Abia State,God bless Nigeria!

These plonkers are busy isolating themselves and creating more enemies for themselves at a time when sensible people are working hard to build bridges and workable national alliances.

PoliticsRe: House Orders PRESSID Stopped Due To Abscence Of Northerners On List by ddefoe: 8:27am On Apr 24, 2015
PassingShot:
What the House has requested the PRESSID to submit are in order. The requested evidence will go a long way in establishing whether fairness was employed in selecting the beneficiaries.

At least if you say no first class candidates from a certain part of the country applied, then present the list of applicants to verify your claim. As simple as ABC.
I work in NUC and I can tell u that pressid is purely on merit.I have seen students from ABU who are of northern extraction that bagged the award but majority are southwest, southeast etc.the purpose of the scheme is to sort out the best brains and trained them in the best schools abroad who will in turn return back to Nigeria to impact their knowledge for the social economic progress of the country.mind u,its targeted for specific areas of discipline.if merrit. Were to be jettisoned in favour of quota system, then I can tell u that the aim of Pressid is already defeated.
