The promised change should not be about compensation for electoral support from friends and cronies, it should be about delivering political dividends. Their compensation should come from enhanced security, 24hrs electricity supply, better schools, roads, hospitals etc if they are waiting to be compensated with political appointments then the motive of their change mantra is not altruistic. We have a lot of young , enterprising Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavors, they come with no political baggage and are not beholden to any special interest who can be brought on board to inject fresh ideas into governance. People like El-Rufai, Oby, Ribadu, Ngozi Iweala, Akinwunmi et al were all unknown quantities before they were brought on board and in their initial outings , performed creditably well

agreed that's why I did a follow up comment. You may check and see. Sentiments aside, settlement aside, amaechi is a performer. One of the best performing governors in the history of rivers state. Forget the beef he had with the Jonathans or all the Negative press, the man is performer and a mobilizer. As at his first term you couldn't count 5 performing governors without counting amaechi. It's not about buhari settling him.

Amaechi should be number one on this list. Make no mistakes amaechi is a workaholic. It's just that patience came in his second tenure with wike and mbu to distract him. Ask any sincere non partisan rivers man and he'd tell you amaechi is arguably the best governor rivers ever had. Except you're a tanoid who still can't recover from the loss of Jonathan. I want either of these two positions for amaechi. 1. Minister of the niger delta. 2. SGF.

Daniel Alves has been very important to the success of Barça since 2008. He had been the best RB in the world for sometime and is very instrumental in maintaining team chemistry and balance due to his very sociable persona. For his many contributions he doesn't need to remind the board about how to value him. It doesn't need to be a long contract. They can give him a generous bonus for his contribution whilst tabling the 1 or at most 2 year extension on his contract. That's respect.

There are different ways to show respect and every player can tell when they are valued by a club. Xavi was offered a 3 year contract that he turned down. He would've have been 38 by then so how is a 32 year old asking for more than a year extension so egregious?

The fact remains that we do not have all the dynamics. We can only speculate. A 3year contract is too much but giving him a bonus, to me, is not out of place, especially for his past contributions. I also do not think Alves has any issues with the team, nor are his complaints directed at his fellow players. So I don't see where the team chemistry gets infringed. Alves said he is 200% committed to the team but not so much to the board. That's clear enough.

Look at the contribution of Neymar over 30goals this season and Suarez goals and assists plus Messi's share too. Perfect right? That is when other units are functioning. Just remove only Neymar's contribution this season and see how it would have affected barca. Will it now be reasonable to blame Messi for Neymar's failure? Or blame Messi for Barca's failure. No it will be sound so unreasonable because there are other units(midfielders,defenders and keepers) in the team working together.

an extraordinary player like Messi and a great player like Ronaldo must always take the blame for their teams' failures. When their teams win, they both take all the glory so when they fail and go trophyless like real madrid just did, they must also take the sticks. Last season barca went trophy less and this thread had a good time yabbing and blaming Messi day and night. So today Ronaldo who claims all the glory whenever madrid wins, must be blamed for failing to get those hattricks of his at the right time. Hahahaha.
