usbcable: none of you ever gives a doubt about a bad report on Ronaldo. So why should we doubt Wellington this time around?
So like you always want to believe every lie against Ronaldo this news of Messi is real and not falsified
lol, of course you can always doubt words of the mouth like this messi's case. but how do you doubt seeing before your very eyes; ronaldo kicking gabi in the face, ronaldo addressing a press conference to say he is not happy at madrid, how do you doubt ronaldo snubbing a 4 yr old girl on international tv because she's wearing a barca jersey? how do you doubt ronaldo reacting angrily to benzema for not passing him the ball and on international tv? how do you doubt ronaldo saying it himself that his portugal teammates are average players? how do you doubt ronaldo diving and rolling on the floor to get rooney sent off in a world cup quarter final and also to get chellini sent off in a champions league game ?my brother there are things you just cannot doubt.

sebod: There is something really missing in that midfield......Xavi factor!
yes the xavi factor is missing. you nailed it. messi could replace xavi in that role. but the problem is; who could then replace the void messi just left? play around the box area, and give us 73 goals in a season! that's what we are missing! could suarez do it? maybe! but it hurts to think that messi wont be scoring 'millions' of goals as a result. because whether we like it or we like it, if the other guy on the other side scores more goals than messi, then he is better than messi. that's the logic of the desperate messi haters and football ignoramuses.

Iaz93: Oga Ddippset grin grin

I can't wait to hear what Messi has to say. I hope he wouldn't stay mute.
believe you me messi wont say a word! if messi really said that iam not supporting that, no way. i understand he was frustrated; drawing the game, having not scored, and getting stamped on by the same guy earlier in the game. he could have said something lighter to vent his anger at wellington or whatever his name is! but all this debate and scrutiny is because of cristiano ronaldo. the fact is that cristiano ronaldo misbehaves and throws tantrums so much that messi fans have a filled day using his misdemeanors against him. so in retaliations, ronaldo fans like yourself wait for any slight attitude by messi to diss him in return. you wont find a 100% humble person created by God. even a 4 year old kid or a man of god could lose his cool and launch a verbal assault when pushed to the wall. messi, for all his talent, fame, celebration, and fortune, is relatively a very quiet and humble person. not even this story can change that!

I remembered saying this last season but everyone including you shouted @ me like I have said something bad! angry grin
lol. i cant remember taking you on, on that issue. but i guess you're right. last night at one point all he had to do was lay the ball for messi right in the box but he opted for the dribble. neymar needs to release the ball like us and he release spperms; much quicker!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 7:31pm On Sep 25, 2014
luis enrique, luis enrique, luis enrique. this rotation policy of yours will kill us finish! iniesta isnt doing enough; the guy is about 30 and he isnt a strong person by nature, neymar needs to be more of a team player( i get the impression because he has scored a couple of goals, he wants to steal the lime light from messi; the guy never releases the ball in time, he wants to do all the dazzles and leg overs and make all the shots on goal, he needs to chill messi is still the boss). i pity messi; nobody does the mid field magic anymore, messi has to drop to mid field every time to create things. he wont have goals this year. pedro; never reliable! he runs and runs and runs, and at the end of the day, he does nothing.

eyoniggar: Bro, I just tire. But you know a whole lotz dont realize this anymore probably because we are used to it, it has become a part and parcel
of how almost all teams play us.
lol. A team that is losing against us is supposed to come all out and attack us, yet you find them still parking the bus. Losing 1 nil they are packing bus, losing 2 nil they are parking bus even losing 8 nil they are still parking bus. They never do this against madrid or athletico! My brother I don frustrate tire.

When they are winning they park the bus ok, even when they are losing they still park the bus. Our boys dey suffer o!

Sports › Re: Lionel Messi V Christiano Ronaldo by ddippset(m): 6:18pm On Sep 20, 2014
People are funny sha! With all the hundreds of criteria that can be used to compare 2 great players they chose to use something as petty as the number of leagues they played in. Goal records for country messi has more, goal records for club messi has more, trophies won for country messi has more, trophies won for club messi has more, individual awards and honours messi has more, yet they are still arguing. Look there are over 5000 professional footballers, there isno harm whatsoever if ronaldo is the second best. Stop disputing facts when there are figures and numbers everywhere to back them up.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 5:17pm On Sep 20, 2014
honeric01: After the successful debut in the UEFA Champions League last Wednesday, Barcelona's focus is once again in La Liga, as the Blaugrana have three challenging opponents in seven days. The first one is Levante. It should be an easy contest, but playing away from home in the Ciutat de Valéncia Stadium might make the match a lot more difficult than expected.

Luis Enrique will once again make changes to his squad, using his philosophy of rotating the roster as much as possible to get the best out of everybody.

So what about playing Lucho and trying to guess which lineup the boss will choose? Use the comment section below to give us your take on the 18 players the coach should select, providing your opinion on the starting lineup and the bench guys. Don't forget to state why do you want each player!

My Lineup

I would say that Lucho will play basically the same team from last week, against Athletic Bilbao. Most of the guys are rested and ready to go. What about Lionel Messi? He's played all 360 minutes so far, so it would be interesting to see if he still cracks the starting XI or if Enrique gives him a spot on the bench.

Anyways, this is my squad:

Starting XI (4-3-3): Bravo; Montoya, Piqué, Mathieu, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta; Rafinha, Munir, Pedro.

Bench: Stegen, Alves, Mascherano, Adriano, Xavi, Messi, Neymar.

Now let me see what is your lineup!

http://www.barcablaugranes.com/2014/9/20/6573555/barcelona-vs-levante-predict-the-lineup

My line up
GK Bravo – No reason to drop him, he’s been pretty comfortable in his 3 games.
RB Montoya – Alves started the last game, don’t see douglas starting his first game away from home.
CB Mathieu – He’s our best defender RIGHT now, despite having a couple shaky clearances, and he rested during the week.
CB Bartra – Deserves some more game time. I wouldn’t be shocked if Pique started ahead of him.
LB Alba – Again, rested during the week and should start.
CDM Busquets – This was a toss up between BUSI and Masche, they both rested during the week.
RCM Rakitic – Was missed against APOEL, would be very surprised if he is left out again.
LCM Iniesta – Rested, despite coming on against APOEL. I would prefer Rafinha getting a start, but I don’t see that happening.
RF Munir – He’s been very impressive, just needs to be more composed in front of goal
CF Messi – Don’t think he will rest for this game, maybe he gets subbed if the scoreline is comfortable late on
LF Neymar – Came on against Bilbao and saved the day, had a good game against APOEL, his fitness is getting better, I expect him to start this game

Bench: ter Stegen, Douglas, Pique, Masche, Xavi, Rafinha ,Sandro
Sandro for Messi to give him a needed rest
Douglas for Montoya to test him out (if the game is already won)
Rafinha for Iniesta/Rakitic

that'sthe prolem we have. Infact from day one. You are playing away to levante and you opt to leave your best players on the bench! You want to mess with levante right, or are you unhappy with the 6 point lead over madrid? Abeg make we stop this kind of arrogance. 2 years ago we wereindomitable and out of this world but today nobody even reckons with us. We should use sense to elect the kinds of games we rest players, maybe a barca versus eiber at home or a barca versus valladolid at home but definitely not levante away! Having said this, my lineup- alvez, alba, pique, mathieus, iniesta, busquets, rakitic, messi, neymar and munir. Madrid just collected 3 points and plus 6. We must collect ours!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 12:30pm On Sep 19, 2014
Guys guys no need for argument. Defenders have good and bad times. There is only one group of defenders that has not been humiliated by superb attackers and that group does not exist. In terms of abilty bartra is out 4th coice centre back! Don't get me wrong I mean in terms of ability not present form. Pique 1st, mathieus 2nd, and vermalen 3rd. But at bartra's rate of development, he will be world class and beat them all by 26 years old.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 4:02pm On Sep 18, 2014
I thought we are supposed to have a plan b already? Same tiki taka and can't break down defences. Well I don't have a problem with rotation but you don't rest 4 or 5 players of your winning team in one swing. One or two is ok. Enrique should gamble. We ve gone too long without a trophy. The margin of error this season is slim.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 3:06pm On Sep 18, 2014
These people have started again! Could someone pls tell mr enrique that the uefa champions league is not a ground for experiments. This la masia thing gets annoying sometimes. You want to play 19 and 20 years old talents and expect them to get a result against a getafe or an apoel who have got experienced 26 and 27 year olds? It's good to give the young ones some playing time but it should be one at a time, or maximum 2 in the starting team at a time! He shouldn't try that gamble again o! That was supposed to be our easiest game out of the 6 group games.

Hezzoe: looking at these two players critically they've both achieved great things but truth be told "RONALDO IS FAR BETTER THAN MESSI" messi can dribble all 11 players on the pitch before scoring? agreed,he has some nice freekicks too but that is all. With players like xavi and iniesta constantly feeding him incredible passes he has no option than to deliver,,,,BUT looking at RONALDO EL FENOMENO, he may not have four balloon d'or but he has proved himself to be worthy of it time and time again, from one club to another, from one league to another, even in his national team he has paid his dues, a true master of skills, his pace, versatility and unpredictable nature makes him THE BEST....in my humble opinion
lol. to start with, everything you just wrote here is the opposite of reality! the photo is just a perfect description of the man ronaldo. even a toddler knows it. when messi's team mates score he runs to hug them but ronaldo gets angry when any body else scores and he never runs to them; the whole world knows this so i wonder where you got this from, lol, you so funny. xavi and iniesta? messi gives assist to everyone while ronaldo has to depend oon ozil, de maria, alonso and bale. at man u ronaldo was sh1t without giggs, scholes and rooney feeding him and now you're talking this? guy you are very funny. lol. very very funny.

The problem is, I don't get to listen much to these hymns since I am a chorister and even though as you sing, you listen and get to enjoy alongside the congregation. But, sometimes its better you listen while such hymns are being sung, and reflect deeply. Such moment gives you the opportunity to link up your soul to God while in deep reflection.
surely you would appreciate the hymns better as one of the congregation. so nice.

AVE' MARIA O MAIDEN, O MOTHER!
1.
Ave Maria! O Maiden, O Mother,
Fondly thy children are calling on thee,
Thine are the graces unclaimed by another,
Sinless and beautiful Star of the Sea!

Refrain
Mater Amabilis, ora pro nobis!
Pray for thy children who call upon thee;
Ave Sanctissima! Ave purissima!
Sinless and beautiful Star of the Sea!

2.
Ave Maria! The night shades are falling,
Softly our voices arise unto thee,
Earth's lonely exiles for succor are calling,
Sinless and beautiful Star of the Sea!

3.
Ave Maria! Thy children are kneeling,
Words of endearment are murmured to thee;
Softly thy spirit upon us is stealing
Sinless and beautiful Star of the Sea!

4.
Ave Maria! Thou portal of Heaven,
Harbor of refuge, to thee we do flee:
Lost in the darkness, by stormy winds driven,
Shine on our pathway, fair Star of the Sea!
