Blessed Lamb! on Calv'ry's mountain
Slain to take our sins away:
Let the drops of that rich fountain
Our tremendous ransom pay:
Sacred Savior! Sacred Savior!
Lowly at Thy feet we pray.

2. Blessed Lamb! vouchsafe us pardon,
In thy love our souls confide:
By Thy groans within the garden,
By the death which Thou hast died,
Let Thy Passion, let Thy Passion
Ever more with us abide!

3. So shall peace, sweet peace be given,
Purchase of Thy precious pain;
So shall earth but lead to heaven,
Since for us the Lamb was slain:
Dear Redeemer! dear Redeemer!
Thou canst not have died in vain

BLESSED LAMB ON CALVARY'S MOUNTAIN. a hymn that will bring tears to your eyes.

Mcleo007: I saw him last night and he was still the same sluggish player, not like I expected him to earn pace over night tho, but he exuded confidence and a good reading of the game. Good to see his commitment level; dude played like his life depended on the game.

Mathieu was a beast last night night. He bullied the Villa players all evening. Doing justice to the amount paid for his service.

Messi na Oga kpatapkata.. I'm short of words/superlatives for him.

Xavi, a spent force? I think gradually, his time comes to a tail end, better to leave when the ovation is loudest. The midfield crumbled the moment he got on.

Rafinha keeps showing so much promise. His calmness and poise on/off the ball is top rate.

I didn't expect for Munir to start the game yesterday. I think the coach should be cautious with his integration into the team so he doesn't crash in the long run as do many good lads his age.

In all, the team is good to win them all this season. Much of it on the coaching crew and how best they can keep the team together and stay motivated.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Cristiano Ronaldo Named UEFA's Best Player For 2013/2014 by ddippset(m): 3:22pm On Aug 30, 2014
Iluvberem: Some people are just too daft and too myopic to be a football fan.

Both guys are the best thing that happen to football world and comparing both is like comparing JET LI and Jackie chan (which we did in our childhood)
That shows you're a kid and does not know anything in football.
I love Messi as I do love Cr7 they are both fantastic.

Ok from your childish analysis let me help you.

A. Messi lifted the ballon d'or 4 times with formidable barca under guadiola with the help of world class players like xavi and iniesta
BUT
Ronaldo Lifted the same award in two different clubs with different team mates and coaches.
Its not easy for a player to change club and still replicate his form many world class player have failed on that and the worst part is changing country because there are many factors that affects footballer form including country that's why Germans hardly performs outside their country, etc. Messi should change club and lift ballon d'or with them so we can start from there.

B. Cr7 is more versatile than messi. Versatility is an advantage to any football player. Cr7 can play ALL the attacking role in football examples: LW RW CF (7,11,9)

C. Cr7 is a god in his national team. Since last 10yrs or more argentina have not reach quater final in any fifa international tournament except this year 2010 portugal reached quater final but argentina got mauled by Germans....
can you list 5 world class players in portugal but Argentina was the team with the highest number of world class players.
Give Cr7 that squad and see wonders.
Also don't forget he is on injury that time

D. Cr7 is an independent player.

THE LIST GOES ON...

Messi too has his own advantages but please its too childish to compare them both.
Ronaldo delima is one of the worldcup legend but no champions league that's football.

Just be happy you're fortunate to watch them play in your era that's a story to tell your children

MESSI is the best for Barca
Cr7 is the best for RM
They are both gods of football
In their different positions.
so many senseless posts but lemme respond to this one;
you say messi won the ballon dor with xavi and iniesta and guardiola. what is the difference between playing for barcelona all your life and jumping from manchester united to real madrid( 2 clubs richer than barcelona)? at man u he had scholes, giggs, rooney and sir alex fergusson. at real he had ozil, de maria( the 2 assist lords) and jose mourinho. so messi should change club ehn? well ronaldo should go to a club that does not have billions of pounds like stoke or getafe and win ballon dor then we can start from there. any good player can jump from man u to real madrid and do well forget weather, even small players like aguero, silva, have changed clubs and still maintained their levels. the difficult thing is to go from a rich club to a poor club. ronaldo go from man u to levante and win ballon dor, then we can start from there.
- another big lie- ronaldo can play LW, RW, CF? hahahahahaha. how many crosses has he ever made from the LW or RW? ronaldo sleeps in front of the 6 yard box. one of the biggest myths in world football is that ronaldo is a winger! ronaldo is always in the 6 yard box, he never leaves there. on paper he is a LW but on the pitch he chokes benzema's space. in fact messi is the more versatile one who plays mid field and CF. messi is always in the midfield.
- another lie from the pit of hell. portugal aint no liberia with only george weah, portugal aint no wales with only ryan giggs, potugal aint no bosnia with only djeko. portugal has pepe, nani, contreao, mereiles, moutinho, bruna alves and figo and deco also played with ronaldo earlier.
fact is ronaldo will never achieve what messi has achieved on international level- olympic gold, under 20 world cup, copa america silver medal, world cup silver medal, olympic golden boot, under 20 golden boot, world cup golden boot! common its an insult to compare.

ronaldo only gets the lime light whenever messi has a long term injury.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 1:17pm On Aug 30, 2014
Mcleo007: Over the years, I've tried to bury whatever lewd opinions I possibly could have nurtured about the man called Cristiano Ronaldo, and simply chose to lay on the cradle of gesticulous monicking and many more. I settled for jokinly calling him names like Penaldo, Crynaldo et al... I know now I've been wrong. I deserve to let my opinions out. The i-diot deserves no empathy at all. He's what he is- a jealous, classless nimwit. He's everything an inferior vein of Messi.

When quizzed about the undeserved Balon he was accorded earlier this year against the backdrop of an unsuccessful season where he played third fiddle to Messi and Ribery; Messi had nothing other than praise for him. Asked about Messi's Golden ball, the retard be talking prison ish.

Now, I understand his frustrations after being under a far superior shadow all these years and finally think you have a way out. There is a thick line between formal and informal conversation. It is something different when you say such s.hit during colloquial conversations with your buds, but coming on TV to say such tells of his high sense of insecurity and inferiority. He's plain classless. We all can attest to how he was given the balon, or he thinks otherwise? That guy needs a cranium check, and fast.
he's gotten a few awards and become saucy as usual. who doesnt know cristiano ronaldo only wins awards when messi has long term injuries? football has not stopped in year 2014. i bet anything messi will son him again between now and the next 4 years. lets just pray for an injury free messi. injury is the only thing that makes cristiano ronaldo think he is equal to messi.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 10:22am On Aug 25, 2014
Danhumprey: So I was able to watch the match last night. Barcelona vs Elche at Camp Nou. I was only able to watch the 1st half. I didn't had time to watch the 2nd half and here's my take on the match,based on how the 1st half was played;
- Messi was active and energized throughout, most especially in the first half. He seem to be on a quest to rediscover his earlier blazing form that made him the best player in the world. He gave the Elche defenders alot to think. He masterfully manuever and zig-zag through the defenders like an invisible spirit and place a shot on the bottom side of the goalpost that led to the first goal. I'm sure, baring any injury,Messi will rediscover his form this season.
- That Munir guy is destined for great things. And just like Messi,he gave the Elche's defence something to think about. He had the first shot on target which unfortunately hit the bar and bounce off. He was presented with another opportunity when the ball was squared for him and he was almost on a one-on-one with the Elche's goalkeeper and could have scored a good goal, but he selflessly decide to pass to next player closer to him and unfortunately that player couldn't score. He is a good player,no doubt. But he will have to battle with Neymar/Suarez for game time. We all know that a fit Neymar and Suarez could be picked to start match anyday anytime,so Munir will have to pray that injury sideline any of those two players.grin
But he sure has hope,as the coach can't keep using the same players to start every match.
-Then there is Iniesta, the captain. He led by example. When Barca were struggling to break the resolute Elche's defence,Iniesta had a shot on target that unfortunately hit the bar. Otherwise,if Munir's and Iniesta's shot had enter the net,Barca would have been 2goals up.
-Then Mascherano. Honestly, his red card/sending off was baffling and surprising and uncalled for. When Elche break away on the counter-attack,Masherano was retreating back to cover the defence and the goalkeeper. It just happen that he collided with that Elche's player and he was immediately shown a straight red card rather than a yellow card. Replays shows that both players were running for the ball. The Elche's player had the ball at his feet and Masherano was trailing behind him. So in a moment of blindness,Mascherano's foot tackled the Elche's players feet and he felled down. From the replays,it's obvious that that tackle was a mistake and wasn't intentional. But it seem the referee was being overzealous and didn't want to be seen as being partial,so he gave Mascherano a straight red-card.
Anyway,Barca still won the match easily even with 10-men against 11-men.
This is a sign of better things to come this season. But you guys shouldn't be quick to start praising Luis Enrique like the Liga has been won.wink
bros, that was a clear red card, the ref aint no fool. very proffessional foul by mascherano. i never want to see him at center back, ever again. what do we have bartra, pique, varmalen, and mathieus for.

This fact shows that he has been in better form than messi over the last 2seasons.
better than messi over the last 2 seasons? Is it becos blatter fixed ballon dor for him? Season before last ronaldo went trophyless while messi won la liga, messi was la liga top scorer, was top scorer in all european leagues while ronaldo won nothing. We like to fool ourselves too much. How do you enter someone's dressing room or his home and conclude he is arrogant or not? Someone is even saying kaka ronaldinho eto never beefed with anyone! I even remember ronaldinho beefing with eto. Lol. Every single human being created by GOd is arrogant, it all depends on how you control yourself especially when you a celebrity. Even people who earn 10 thousand or 15k a month are arrogant talkless of those superstars earning 200 million a month. Talking messi and ronaldo as case study, no one really knows what they are like behind the scenes but messi does a good job of comporting himself in public so no one calls him arrogant even if he might be. People don't call ronaldo arrogant for fun. Its based on how he acts on the pitch and what he says in interviews not what they hear from the press. When you tell the press you are rich and handsome, or you say the best players in the world are ronaldo, ronaldo and ronaldo. Or when you react angrily when a team mate loses a pass, or when you hardly run to hug a team mate when he scores or give you a pass to score or when you score a goal and keep pointing countless times to your chest, it doesn't do you any good. That's some perfect reason for people to call you arrogant even if you really aren't!

That's why I like madrid sometimes, they go all out for a player. If we are serious we should get cuardrado as soon as yesterday, if we can't sell alvez now we can by january. Cuardrado is a direct and better replacement for alvez. Has alvez really ever been a right back? NO. He was always a right winger attacker constantly going forward, that's exactly what cuardrado is. Also With him a 3-4-3 will make a lot of sense. If man u beat us to this too bad! Alvez is not the alvez we knew in 2010.
