Tallesty1: Forget that bla bla about weaker vessel. Some women I know can take decent hits and beat a man senseless. I'm not even talking tomboys.

The equality we preach in Nigeria and the self control that the whole world preach is one sided.

Thunder fire the woman that will make life unbearable for me in my own house.

Real men ko evil spirits ni.
lol.

50calibre: I don't encourage battery under any circumstance, this extreme & could potentially turn you into a murderer.
Men are significantly stronger than women, kicking and punching is extreme (except you're dealing with a very strong professional fighter) for a woman, a few proper slaps here and there should suffice.
let me tell you this story. a woman got harassed at a gathering by a young man and her husband picked up a fight with the young man. the young man actually beat up her husband and left him bruised and bloodied, nevertheless she was happy with her husband for at least fighting to protect her. a few weeks later she had a quarel at home with her husband and she was like 'see you, shameless man, the other day a small boy beat you up shamelessly outside but all the power you have is on me, idiot, go and fight with your mates outside let them teach you another lesson'. now a lot of women do this. if it was you 50calibre, what would you do?

seriously though, ive seen men kick, slap, choke ,slam and even clothesline a woman. leaving them with bloody noses, broken lips, black eye and all that. and that aint right.

50calibre: And for how long are you going to continue doing this? Some of these women have lost their soul, doing this is only going to encourage them to get increasingly confrontational.

You've not seen situations where as you're walking out, she's walking out with you, yelling and cursing? grin

This tactic only works for reasonable women who feel remorse thereafter, it doesn't work for a mad dog, in fact it makes things worse.

I know there are a few nice women who still endure beatings from their husbands for no justifiable reason, these men are the sick ones & should be punished.

However a woman has got to be seriously deluded to think she can continue to aggravate me without painful consequences.

KAYD007: Real man don't beat a woman ma azz...aside my mother or sisters, hmmm, provoke me and you will behold the 8 stars of the heavens as they transcend the galaxy....get physical with me...the velocity of serena williams backhand stroke should reset you to default self while your brain is reeling in its cranium like a cocroach that has been broomed stick...a follow up of 7.1 richer scale magnitude of a maria sharapova fore hand smash...which will send urine licking down from your in between..if you still on your feet, a jet li kick to the chest or better still a two footed john terry tackle should put you to a sound peaceful sleep with eyes wide open and your tongue sticking out like a roasted goat!
lol, pls take it easy.

redsun: grin grin

Shioo! You mean that will be enough to beat the hell out of her like a nuaghty dog that ate his master's meat? What happens to making a quick fix or buying a take away?

Violence is a part and parcel of Nigerian code of conduct, until it is shunned officially,it will remain a part of our domestic affairs. The child that was rigourously beaten yesterday will grow up to become an adult that believes in settling scores with beating like his/her role models thought him/her. It is a vicious circle.
lol, you ve gotta be kidding me.

all4naija: I would look for ways to get another dinner. Possibly buying another one would make sense. Food is a petty thing to beat your wife over! Jeez! That looks primitive to me.
lol, you've got to really be kidding me to have taken my comment seriously. lol. iam enjoying this thread tonight.

lol, iam not really encouraging all men to be 'gentle men' used in this context of mine. by the way, what really amounts to battering a woman?or rather beating up a woman? is there a difference between 1.losing your cool and delivering one hot slap and realising what you just did and then 2.slapping, kicking, shoving, slamming a woman in a time of 10 mins? does the former amount to beating a woman?

dabriggs: Women aren't lesser beings. Please.
The society and nature has placed a great role on them. The carrying, bringing to bear the young of the human specie and nurturing of the young. That is no small role. As a matter of fact their role is as important to that of a man's. If not more important. As a matter of fact men behave better when they have a woman in their midst. There are things women can stand that men can never stand. Ever. And I am not even talking about child bearing yet.
When you seek a woman as a mate or partner you seek a good strong one who will teach your kids morals. They hold the family together, The family which is the main fabric of the society and a nation. It is childish that people jump to this conclusion just because women are not allowed to lift heavy stuff and climb trees like men and do strenuous stuff like men therefore turn out to be weaker physically. Physically weak doesn't imply being lesser beings. And physical weakness is because of how the society has placed limitation on them.
In certain tribes all women are warriors and they will fight and kill you if it came to that. Please let us stop this wrong notion. These are the thins that make them lazy and fail in the homes. Every human deserves care. Male and female. That you buy her a perfume and take her on romantic candle light dinners does not make her weak and make you strong. Infact at that moment you (the man) are at your weakest.
CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, impressive! very impressive!!

50calibre: Lol that's nothing!!

My uncles ex wife used to douse him with water whenever he returns late.

At times, whenever she's angry for whatever reason, she picks up a bucket of water, heads over to where he's sitting or lying and douse him with it, ice bucket challenge style.

Sometimes when he travels, she changes the keys/locks, upon his return, he finds himself locked outside & stranded.

These are just a few, they're not hearsay, I saw with my eyes.
lol, no be small thing o! overall i think its just a misuse of words. a man who beats his wife is NOT a coward, rather he is an aggressor or a beast. there is nothing cowardly in beating up a woman. its just a cliche people like to use. a man who can tolerate an abusive, insolent, disrespectful, nagging and confrontational wife by ignoring her, and walking out is what you can a gentle man. a perfect gentleman.

ive been married for 3 years now. i have never put a hand on my wife but believe you me, i have been pushed! i have been pushed!! i have been pushed!!! it's very easy for the ladies, the single men and the men who have married very calm and easy going women here to keep preaching 'men who beat their women are cowards' and so on. if you fall into these categories i just listed believe me you would never know how much a woman can push a man. you wont understand via these words on nairaland. i have never put hands on a woman anyways.

JESUSchoice: Where are all those guys wey talk say Messi single handedly win games for Barca??........barcelona vs malaga0-0,...dat weligton guy alone frustrated him alot,he didn't find space as he used 2 in oda matches....i wish d malaga guys were clynical and tactical,,barca 4 loss dat match.....

#Son of a b***h , i heard he said...,messi is joining CR7 arrogant n proud family soon, congratulations! Now we will be able to rate him with our real madrid hero CR7.....agn if ronaldo gets 2 wins world best player award dis year,..i go use cotton board wipe my ear very well, i wan hear which excuse messi's fans go give,...maybe imaginary INJURY again.

Note;i love messi very much, but i think CR7 is better....wait oo,o .,,,,why messi no get nickname seff....
thank God you talked about marking messi. if ronaldo gets half as marked as messi, he wont score 20 goals in one season. if teams park the bus on real madrid like they do on barca, tell me how many ronaldo will score! tell me. na you use ya mouth talk how them de mark messi. one more thing- you dont love messi. tell that to the marines.

guy give it up, you have got no defence! you're the one telling lies!
number one- surely you do not want to compare kicking gabi in the face to kicking the ball into the crowd not a direct shot but a projectile shot. surely you dont!
number two-messi didnt snub the boy, he didnt notice the boy. i dont think you saw that scene, i did. messi didnt snub that boy, you must not lie!
number three-we all watched ronaldo's reaction to benzema on tv. all the others you mentioned tello, ibra were strories as well. we only saw messi react to villa. that was because messi kept on passing the ball to villa in his usuall unselfish manner but when villa had just one chance to pass to him in a good position he refused. in ronaldo's case he never gave benzema passes but when benzema didnt pass either he went wild.lol.
-number four-the whole world knows how ronaldo got rooney and chellini sent off by rolling one thousand times on the ground, except you didnt see or where in hibernation.
i even forgot to mention; week in week out we see how ronaldo gets upset when any other player scores for his own team and we see how messi celebrates happily with his team. we see things things every week; the world did not paint ronaldo as arrogant, he created that impression on himseLf but i must admit nowadays he tires to improve on his PR. Lastly messi doesnt cover up anything, he behaves badly sometimes like everyone you and me; he just doesnt do it week in week out like ronaldo.

i dont know what yall think but playing a 4-3-3 formation with teams parking the bus on us is suicidal. you find out that the 2 out left and out right players become useless and we become vulnerable to counters. madrid for instance playes a 4-4-2 formation, dont be f00led by that 4-3-3 you see on their term sheet. bale is a right midfielder and ronaldo is a striker. both benzema and ronaldo are strikers, dont be f00led! i want us to adopt a 3-5-2 (3-2-3-2)formation. if vermalen is fit, we can play him at left back( i dont trust jordi alba anymore!) we can play a duo strike force of messi and suarez.

pique, mathieu, vermalen - busquets, mascherano,- rakitic, iniesta, neymar - messi, suarez.
my thoughts! i might be wrong.
